Conductive hydrogels with water-enriched pores have shown great potential in electromagnetic wave protection and flexible wearable electronics. However, hydrogel with high water content often results in some challenges such as water loss and low-temperature freezing. In this study, porous gelatin/ChCl/MXene Ti3C2Tx (GCM) hydrogels were prepared via a simple, scalable one-pot method. The introduction of ChCl forms abundant hydrogen bonds in GCM hydrogel, which endows the hydrogel long-term anti-drying (30 days) and anti-freezing abilities (-30 °C). Due to the synergistic effects of the porous structure, highly conductive MXene and water molecules, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) reach up to 108 dB in the X-band. Significantly, the effects of water molecules on EMI SE are quantitatively identified by controlling the water content in the GCM hydrogels. Moreover, the gelatin-based hydrogel exhibits super-elasticity (0.25 MPa at 80% strain) and demonstrates no significant decrease in EMI SE after 100 compression cycles. Finally, the excellent pressure-sensing capabilities of GCM hydrogel enable sensitive and reliable detection in human motion and smart coding. Therefore, the developed GCM hydrogel demonstrates promising application prospects in the fields of EMI shielding and sensing for wearable electronic devices. © 2025, The Authors. This paper reports a double-layered carbon fiber fabric reinforced SiBCN ceramic polymer gradient composite material. The upper layer is ceramic layer, the lower layer is resin layer, with densities of 1.69 g/cm3 and 1.05 g/cm3, respectively, with a gradient transition between the two layers. After ablation mechanism and properties were studied by oxyacetylene ablation test with heat flux of 1.8 MW/m2, 2.5 MW/m2, and 3.8 MW/m2, the ablated samples had no noticeable ablation cracks and pits. The material has good ablation resistance, heat insulation and compressive properties. It exhibits new ideas for the design of multifunctional integrated gradient composite materials. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

To describe the volume deformation of rubber-like materials, the strain energy density (SED) function of a compressible hyperelastic model is typically formulated as the hydrostatic/liquid-like term from interchain interaction changes plus the compressible elastic term owing to elastic deformation of network chains;while the former is widely believed to dominate volume responses. Although the physics of the hydrostatic term is clear, there are few physically-based models available for it. In our previous work (Liu and Lu, 2023), we constructed a physically-based hydrostatic SED function inspired by the Flory-Orwoll-Vrij equation of state (EOS) theory for pure polymer fluids, and proposed the general strategy for developing hydrostatic functions according to the EOS theories. The present work is inspired by the Sanchez-LacombeEOS theory (note: a type oflattice-fluid EOS theory);and we assume: (i) a rubber-like material consists of polymer segments occupying lattice sites and unoccupied/vacant lattice sites, and the compressibility of the material corresponds to changes in vacant sites fraction;(ii) the hydrostatic strain energy is associated with the interchain interaction energy change and the mixing entropy change between network and vacant *** to the Helmholtz free energy in Sanchez-Lacombe EOS theory and limiting our attention to the isothermal condition, another physically-based hydrostatic SED function is constructed;a specific compressible hyperelastic model is provided by further combining compressible 8-chain elastic SED function. And the basic framework of this compressible model is inherently consistent with the Flory-Rehner framework for swollen elastomers. Our model provides good predictions for volume deformation data of ten different rubber-like materials in hydrostatic compression (HC), uniaxial tension (UT), and constrained uniaxial compression (CUC). The pyrolysis characteristics of the polymeric nanocomposites are dominantly regulated by the pyrolyzable components to accommodate a specific thermodynamic environment. In our work, the pyrolysis behavior of the pyrolyzable system including silicone and phenolic aerogels (SiOC/PR) of silicone-modified phenolic aerogel matrix nanocomposites is carried out by TG, TG-FTIR, and Py-GC/MS. The experimental results show that the SiOC/PR systems have three major decomposition stages and exhibit better thermal stability when the mass ratio of SiOC to PR is 1:3. Then the distributed activation energy model (DAEM) with logistic distribution is employed to study the multi-stage decomposition kinetics of SiOC/PR systems, where the five pseudo-components DAEM effectively represents the decomposition conversion signature. The significant pyrolysis products detected by TG-FTIR are examined by ReaxFF molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. MD results reveal that methanol is the primary volatile product affecting SiOC/PR systems in a high-temperature oxygen-free environment. Two reaction mechanisms for methanol are identified by the MD trajectory, which are the extraction reactions of methyl intermediates as well as hydroxymethyl intermediates, respectively. Then the kinetic factors are calculated by specific reaction mechanisms. Finally, using an artificial neural network with the TG data and MD results as inputs, the mixture ratio of the pyrolyzable system of the SiOC/PR nanocomposites with better thermal insulation equaling 0.22 is predicted. This work can help understand the system’s chemical features and guide the pyrolyzable system design of the SiOC/PR nanocomposites. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aqueous alkaline battery represents a promising energy storage technology with both high energy density and high power density as rechargeable ***,the low theoretical capacities,kinetics and stability of anode materials have limited their developments and *** this study,we propose a novel method to produce two-dimensional layered bismuth oxide selenium(Bi_(2)O_(2)Se)and reduced graphene oxide(r GO)composites via a one-step hydrothermal *** volume change caused by phase change during rapid charging and discharging is significantly reduced and the capacity reaches 263.83 m Ah g^(-1)at a current density of 0.5 A g^(-1).The Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/r GO electrode exhibits excellent cycling stability in which the capacity retention rate is 81.04%after 5000 *** importantly,the Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/r GO nanosheet composite is used as the anode electrode material with MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)@Ni(OH)_(2)as the cathode electrode material in aqueous alkaline *** the energy density is 76.16 W h kg^(-1),the power density reaches 308.65 W kg^(-1).At a power density of 10.21 k W kg^(-1),the energy density remains as high as 33.86 W h kg^(-1).The results presented here may advance the understanding of the issues facing the development of aqueous battery anode materials.

A Novel Model for Buckling of composite Shell: Ring Stiffened Shell and Stiffened Shell with Cutout Under Hydrostatic Pressure

Aiming at the buckling problem of ring stiffened shells and shells with stiffened cutout fabricated by the filament winding process under hydrostatic pressure, a new form of equilibrium equations is given in this paper based on the high-order shear deformation theory (HSDT), combined with Messager's model of the geometrical imperfection, a theoretical model is proposed. The model contains both the ring stiffened shell model (RSSM) and the stiffened shell with cutout model (SSCM), in which the change in the thickness of the shell is described in the form of Fourier series to be taken into account in the stiffness matrix. Bringing the model into the solution procedure of critical buckling pressure, the results were compared with the results of the traditional stiffened cylindrical shell (SCS) model. The results showed that in the case of the shell stiffened by a ring stiffener in the middle, the error can be reduced by 71.08% to 81.22% compared with the SCS model. The results show that the small stiffened cutouts of the thin shell and the large stiffened cutouts of the moderately thick shell have little effect, while ring stiffener in the middle has a greater one, on the critical buckling pressure. © 2023, The Authors. Piezoelectric ceramic and polymeric separators have been proposed to effectively regulate Li deposition and suppress dendrite growth,but such separators still fail to satisfactorily support durable operation of lithium metal batteries owing to the fragile ceramic layer or low-piezoelectricity polymer as ***,by combining PVDF-HFP and ferroelectric BaTiO_(3),we develop a homogeneous,single-layer composite separator with strong piezoelectric effects to inhibit dendrite growth while maintaining high mechanical *** squeezed by local protrusion,the polarized PVDF-HFP/BaTiO_(3)composite separator generates a local voltage to suppress the local-intensified electric field and further deconcentrate regional lithium-ion flux to retard lithium deposition on the protrusion,hence enabling a smoother and more compact lithium deposition morphology than the unpoled composite separator and the pure PVDF-HFP separator,especially at high ***,the homogeneous incorporation of BaTiO_(3)highly improves the piezoelectric performances of the separator with residual polarization of 0.086 pC cm^(-2)after polarization treatment,four times that of the pure PVDF-HFP separator,and simultaneously increases the transference number of lithium-ion from 0.45 to *** from the prominent piezoelectric mechanism,the polarized PVDF-HFP/BaTiO_(3)composite separator enables stable cyclic performances of Li||LiFePO_(4)cells for 400 cycles at 2 C(1 C=170 mA g^(-1))with a capacity retention above 99%,and for 600 cycles at 5 C with a capacity retention over 85%.

A stratospheric airship is an essential flight vehicle in the aviation *** this paper,optimal design approach of stratospheric airships is developed to optimize envelope shape considering three failure modes and multidisciplinary analysis models,and could also reduce the mass of a stratospheric airship to be deployed at a specific *** on a theoretical analysis,three failure modes of airships including bending wrinkling failure,hoop tearing failure and bending kink failure,are given to describe and illustrate the failure mechanism of stratospheric *** results show that the location,length and size of the local uniform load and the large fineness ratio are easier to lead to bending wrinkling failure and bending kink *** small fineness ratio and the increasing differential pressure are more prone to cause hoop tearing failure for an airship *** failure probability is sensitive to the wind *** an optimization design,the reliability analysis is essential to be carried out based on the safety of the *** solution in this study can provide economical design recommendations.
