Recently, multidimensional scaling (MDS) algorithms have been verified to be robust for the emitter localization. However, the traditional MDS algorithms are based on single one kind of measurement. In this paper, a novel hybrid MDS localization algorithm based on both angle-of-arrival (AOA) and time-of-arrival (TOA) measurements is proposed. In the condition that one of the sensors can obtain the AOA of the emitter, this algorithm utilizes AOA measurement to improve the traditional MDS localization based on TOA measurements. The simulation results demonstrated the improvement of this algorithm.

This paper proposes a method to identify the hybrid modulation signals. Firstly, the method utilizes instantaneous frequency (IF) of signals combined with histogram to classify conventional signals and hybrid modulation signals. Then an improved signal segmentation method is used to resolve the hybrid modulation signals to conventional signals. Experimental results show that the proposed method can identify seven kinds of typical radar signals, and achieve 94% recognition accuracy when SNR is 3dB.

Least Square (LS) estimation is a simple but not good enough for localization method which is widely used for target position estimation. The time difference of arrival (TDOA) location based on LS method needs to select a reference sensor to obtain a series of equations. Thus, the measured error of the selected first sensor will certainly influence the location accuracy. In our article, an algorithm based on select the primary sensor is proposed, which selects the primary station according the residual. New algorithm improves performs better than conventional method in harsh environment. The joint maximum likelihood sequence estimation (JMLSE) is a useful algorithm for the single-antenna co-channel interference cancellation. But the conventional JMLSE algorithm is only suitable for continuous signal. If burst signals are processed as continuous signals, the conventional JMLSE will suffer an error floor. To overcome this problem, a modified JMLSE algorithm was proposed for burst digital signal. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can eliminate the defect of error floor, and the performance is almost the same as continuous signal processing.

This paper investigates the achievable sum-rate of uplink massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems considering a practical channel impairment, namely, aged channel state information (CSI). Taking into account both maximum ratio combining (MRC) and zero-forcing (ZF) receivers at the base station, we present tight closed-form lower bounds on the sum-rate for both receivers, which provide efficient means to evaluate the sum-rate of the system. More importantly, we characterize the impact of channel aging on the power scaling law. Specifically, we show that the transmit power of each user can be scaled down by 1/√(M), which indicates that aged CSI does not affect the power scaling law; instead, it causes only a reduction on the sum rate by reducing the effective signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR).

Multi-antenna blind signal separation (BSS) provides a useful method for co-channel mixed signal processing. But the performance of BSS is limited by the condition number of channel matrix in the presence of noise. To overcome this problem, a new BSS algorithm with the aid of lattice reduction (LR) is proposed for synchronous communication systems. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the symbol error rate (SER) performance in noise environment while keeping the same complexity level.
