This work presents an application of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) of random access with one-way transmission to the monitoring of hospital patients. In the paper, we consider WSN single-hop network using one single radio frequency, such that all nodes are divided into several groups depending on the average time between the transmission due to the different state of health of patients. We apply the Poisson Arrivals See Time Averages (PASTA) to modeling of WSN. We present formula for the probability of collisions which has been verified by simulation studies of network.

In this paper, Doppler-shift frequency measurements are introduced into the Dual-Satellite Geolocation System to implement location for aerial moving target. The location model is established first, and then the rank of the observation matrix is proposed as standards of location observability, and two typical motion models, the uniform linear motion and the maneuvering turn motion are analysed and their observation matrix are given. Finally, simulation results presente a conclusion that Dual-satellite geolocation system can implement location effectively for aerial moving target by adding the Doppler-shift frequency measurements of single satellite under some restrictions.

A method is proposed for estimating time delay between MFSK signals received at two spatially separated sensors. onsidering the periodical characteristic of the peaks of cross correlation, the proposed method combines window echnology and differential magnitude between cross correlation and its Hilbert transform. The time argument at hich the differential magnitude achieves the peak in the range of window is the delay estimate. The method is ompared with several other methods. Simulation results show that the proposed method can get better performance. nder certain conditions the performance of proposed method can be better than CRLB by using priori information bout the transmitter and receivers.

Deep packet inspection has become extremely important due to network security. In deep packet inspection, the packet payload is compared against a set of patterns specified as regular expressions. Regular expressions are often implemented as deterministic finite automaton (DFA) for matching in linear time at high network link rates. We proposed a predict DFA which can accelerate the processing speed of DFA. A predict DFA uses additional information to predict several next transitions. We tested our proposal on Layer7 rule-set and validated it on real traffic traces, experiments show that our approach offers a significant performance improvement by accelerate rate factors from 1.6 to 2.8 over original DFA.

The existing methods of space target tracking cant track the maneuver space target accurately and steady. In order to solve this problem, a method for maneuver space target tracking based on IMM is proposed in this paper. After introducing the flow of Kalman Filtering, which is the basic of target tracking algorithm, and analysing Dynamic and Kinematic models relatively, the two models are combined by IMM algorithm. Simulation result demonstrate that This two algorithms combination not only improves tracking precision in tracking, but also solves the maneuver problem efficiently for space target.

Frequency hopping signals have been widely used in military and civilian applications during the last few decades. It's of great value to locate emitters of frequency hopping signals, especially in military operations. Localization by time difference of arrival (TDOA) is a passive location method of good accuracy which utilizes the differences between the arrival times of signals received by multiple receivers at different sites. Many researchers have been published on TDOA estimation algorithms for signals in passive location systems, but there have been few results in the literature about the TDOA estimation accuracy of frequency hopping signals. In this paper, a novel Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) of TDOA estimation for frequency hopping signals is proposed and derived based on the given frequency hopping signal model. Theoretical analysis has revealed how frequency hopping signals' parameters, such as signal band, channel interval, hop duration and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), affect the estimation performance. Simulation results have justified the theoretical derivation.

We present a new way called Persona Analysis with Text Topic Modelling (PATTM), which tries to learn the role of personae according to the literal descriptions. It is similar to Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Author Topic (AT) model, with the attribute of allowing all text to join in the topic modelling process, even when there is no persona in the text. We experiment on the Libya Event data set which contains more than 4,000 texts collected from the Internet. The PATTM gives lower perplexity than LDA and AT model on the data set.
