Taking LM as the Brain: A Novel Approach Integrating Language Model and Generative Agent for Intelligent Decision Systems

The Large Language Model (LLM) has demonstrated significant capabilities in intelligent robotics and Autonomous Driving(AD). Compared to traditional end-to-end models, decision reasoning in the form of language exhibits enhanced generalization and interpretability. To harness the inferential decision-making capabilities of large models more effectively, we propose a generative intelligent agent capable of translating various sensor signals into language descriptions, thereby utilizing Language Models (LMs) for decision-making. Furthermore, to address the practical deployment challenges of large models, we fine-tuned a GPT-2 model on an intelligent traffic corpus. The fine-tuned model performs competitively with LLMs in the domain of traffic decision-making. This approach can potentially deploy LMs directly on computationally constrained in-vehicle platforms to reduce communication latency. We evaluated the proposed method on a simulated dataset, and the results indicate that the pure language decision model surpasses the vector-based and fusion models. information security policies are formalized rules and regulations that employees should follow to avoid unwanted cyber incidents. This paper reports on the findings of a survey among personnel employed in the Norwegian industrial sector. The survey measured how the respondents self-assess their risky behavior and cognitive awareness regarding the importance and likelihood of cyber security events. A modified version of the Behavioral Cognitive Internet security Questionnaire was used as the survey instrument. The results indicate that the employees in the target group have a low level of risky behavior and a high level of cognitive awareness and that minimal discrepancy between how respondents self-assess and act in the simulation exists. The result should be of interest to practitioners in the field of cybersecurity since training is attributed as the main driver of the obtained results. Furthermore, strong indications exist that the selected literature and theory do not hold true for the Norwegian industry sector. © 2023, IFIP International Federation for information Processing.

Industrial systems (IS), including critical ones, swiftly move towards integrating elements of modern information technology (IT) into their formerly air-gapped Operational technology (OT) architectures. And, naturally, the more such systems become interconnected, the more alluring they pose to attackers. Concurrently, the twenty-four-seven availability of these systems renders it harder for defenders to promptly apply contemporary security controls. In this context, cyber ranges have emerged as a proper complementary solution for better comprehending and subsequently tackling the relevant risks without endangering the operation of the real systems. This work aspires to contribute a reference architecture for designing and developing cross-sector critical infrastructure (CI) cyber-physical ranges and security testbeds. A second key goal is to demonstrate the soundness of the proposed reference architecture through the implementation and evaluation of a number of cyber range instances specifically tailored for CIs of interest, including manufacturing, energy, and healthcare. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

With the growing demand for image transmission, there is a need for solutions that offer low energy consumption and low latency. In this paper, we present a novel relay-assisted system based on non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and mobile edge computing (MEC). Our proposed system compresses images at the device end, decompresses them at either a relay or a cloud server (CS). The primary objective is to minimize system energy consumption under given task delay constraints. Considering that this is a non-convex optimization problem, we solve it by decomposing it into a continuous subproblem and a discrete subproblem. To solve the continuous subproblem, we convexify it by introducing new parameters and change variables to get the optimal the computing power of devices, relay and CS, sampling rate of devices, transmission power of devices and relay. To solve the discrete subproblem, we propose a cross-entropy (CE) algorithm to obtain the optimal decompression decision and subcarrier allocation decision. Simulation results demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of our algorithm in optimizing total energy consumption compared to the Linear Interactive and General Optimizer (LINGO) and frequency division multiple access (FDMA) methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) have been used in different domains to enable automation, increase efficiency and effectiveness, and reduce the operational costs of traditional systems. CPSs come with several limitations and requirements that must be considered when designing their application to different domains. Artificial intelligence (AI) can facilitate the optimization of cyber-physical systems’ operation. However, integration of AI functionality into CPS is not easy due to limitations in hardware, software, and flexibility. The main contribution of the present paper is a novel approach for the use of remote AI services in CPSs. By employing zero-knowledge proofs, we protect the privacy of models and data and we can verify the integrity of the operations on the side of the AI service. Our experiments have shown that such an approach is feasible and brings significant offerings, such as verifiable remote AI inference for CPS. Our experiments have shown that currently available zero-knowledge implementations require large proof generation times, which hinder the effective application of remote AI services to real-world CPS. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This article presents an on-body antenna characterized by low structural complexity, low spatial power density, and high robustness. This antenna features unique dual-wideband capability, offering ultrawideband operating frequency bands along with dynamic wideband notch tunability. This design aims to support simultaneous multiuser IoT operation while intelligently mitigating in-band interference from unwanted users. This achievement is realized through a novel approach using a reconfigurable quasi-spoof surface plasmon polaritons waveguide filter as the feedline for a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna, allowing tuning of band-notched characteristics via varactor diodes on the SSPP element. Enhanced bandwidth performance is achieved by etching gradient rectangular slots on the open-ended SIW and implementing a transition from grounded coplanar waveguide to SIW with tapered coupling slots. Conductive fibers effectively bond the flexible foam substrate with a conductive thin copper film, forming the prototype. The prototype antenna operates across 9.4 to 29 GHz with an average gain of 9.0 dBi and features a dynamically tunable 2 GHz rejection bandwidth within the 14 to 26 GHz range, adjusted via variable capacitors in loaded varactors. The antenna maintains consistent performance under deformation and exhibits reliable wireless signal transmission in experiments. © 2014 IEEE.

OTFS technology is attracting much attention due to its strong adaptability to high-speed mobility and high spectrum efficiency. Studies show that applying deep learning (DL) to traditional communication systems significantly improves their performance. To this end, this paper proposes an AI-Aid OTFS receiver to enhance the performance of OTFS systems in high-speed mobile communication scenarios. The proposed receiver employs two networks-a channel estimation network called TFNet and a decoding network called RecovNet. In the channel estimation module, TFNet performs more accurate channel estimation based on the results of traditional channel estimation methods. In the decoding module, RecovNet decodes the signal based on the equalized signals. To validate the superiority of our proposed receiver, we conduct comparative testing with a traditional receiver under the integer Doppler channel. The experimental results demonstrate that integrating DL technology in OTFS systems effectively enhances their performance. © 2023 IEEE.

A Privacy-Preserving Data Aggregation Protocol for Internet of Vehicles with Federated Learning

Federated learning (FL) is widely used in various fields because it can guarantee the privacy of the original data source. However, in data-sensitive fields such as Internet of Vehicles (IoV), insecure communication channels, semi-trusted RoadSide Unit (RSU), and collusion between vehicles and the RSU may lead to leakage of model parameters. Moreover, when aggregating data, since different vehicles usually have different computing resources, vehicles with relatively insufficient computing resources will affect the data aggregation efficiency. Therefore, in order to solve the privacy leakage problem and improve the data aggregation efficiency, this paper proposes a privacy-preserving data aggregation protocol for IoV with FL. Firstly, the protocol is designed based on methods such as shamir secret sharing scheme, pallier homomorphic encryption scheme and blinding factor protection, which can guarantee the privacy of model parameters. Secondly, the protocol improves the data aggregation efficiency by setting dynamic training time windows. Thirdly, the protocol reduces the frequent participations of Trusted Authority (TA) by optimizing the fault-tolerance mechanism. Finally, the security analysis proves that the proposed protocol is secure, and the performance analysis results also show that the proposed protocol has high computation and communication efficiency. The term chatbot also known as Virtual assistant agents have grown in popularity over the past several years across a variety of domain. In, this paper the domain specified chatbot for the domain 'E-Commerce' is introduced with multi-functional services. The user can make use of the chatbots camera or file upload to seek product recommendations. Ordering a Product of user's choice through the bot is introduced. The details of their order can be confirmed via e-mail. The additional feature focused here is the security authentication through a feature called 'one time password' that consists of numeric values to be entered while signing up. The chatbot is focused to improve the customer satisfaction and to increase the efficiency of the bot by enhancing the features in an accurate way. Here, the recommendations that are suggested is based on the user input which will eventually derive the output for the following search. © 2024 IEEE.
