Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) has emerged as a promising technology for future millimeter wave (mmWave) networks. However, the susceptibility of mmWave signals to blockages poses considerable challenges for ISAC as it can result in unreliable links and disrupted sensing. As a result, this paper investigates the blockage-resilient ISAC design that leverages the robustness offered by multi-base station (BS) collaboration. Given the dynamic blockages and the fluctuation in the targets' radar cross section (RCS), the blockage-resilient multiBS collaborative ISAC design is cast as a chance constrained integer programming (CCIP) by jointly considering the diverse deadlines of different sensing tasks and the spatial/temporal user-target pairing for dual-functional radar and communication (DFRC) waveform scheduling. To facilitate efficient solution finding, we develop a group concatenating assisted reinforcement learning (GCRL) algorithm, where we linearize the chance constraints via variable grouping and concatenation, enabling the RL agent to understand the problem structure with bipartite graphs so as to develop an efficient branching policy. Extensive experiments demonstrate the resilience of the obtained ISAC scheme to dynamic blockages. © 2025 IEEE. All rights reserved.

Underwater arbitrary ranging based on chirped pulse interferometry with a mode-locked laser

Underwater distance measurement and length sensing, as fundamental functions of geoscience, are integrated into underwater robots and vessels in various forms of sensor payloads and play a crucial role in a wide range of remote sensing applications. Advanced laser-based detection systems and algorithms are essential for underwater tasks, such as detecting damage in underwater pipelines and conducting detailed structural health assessments. In this paper, we experimentally demonstrated an arbitrary underwater ranging system by the chirped pulse interferometry with a mode-locked laser. Water's inherent characteristic introduces dispersion, enabling unique distance discrimination. Adjusting the repetition frequency allows us to acquire the interference spectrum. A long fiber delay line, stabilized by the servo-controlled system, eliminates the ranging dead zone. The widest fringe of the interference spectrum, corresponding to an instantaneous repetition frequency, indicates the arbitrary measured distance. Leveraging a charge-coupled device detection module, we achieved an update rate of 13.5 Hz for the interference spectrum. Experimental results show a precise distance difference within 59.8 μm at the 5 m range underwater without the dead zone. © 2025 IEEE. All rights reserved.

Joint Vehicle Pairing, Spectrum Assignment and Power control for Sum-Rate Maximization in NOMA-Based V2X Underlaid Cellular Networks

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) underlaid cellular networks in underlaid mode suffers catastrophic co-channel interference caused by spectrum sharing, results in a reduced system sum-rate. To cope with this, this work studies a social-mobility-aware non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-enabled V2X underlaid cellular network to mitigate the co-channel interference and improve the sum-rate. By jointly optimizing vehicle pairing and resources, a sum-rate maximization problem is formulated under the diverse quality of service requirements of both cellular and vehicular users. The formulated problem is proved to be a non-deterministic polynomial-time (NP)-hard problem, and is difficult to solve. As an alternative, we propose a NOMA-based joint vehicle pairing, spectrum assignment and power control algorithm (NOMA-JVP-SA-PCA), with which the original problem is decomposed into two disjoint subproblems, i. e., 1) joint vehicle pairing and spectrum assignment subproblem, and 2) power control subproblem. Dealing the first subproblem, we propose a heuristic social-mobility-aware vehicle pairing algorithm (HSMA-VPA) and a revised Kuhn-munkres-based spectrum assignment algorithm (KM-SAA) to acquire the vehicle pairing and spectrum assignment solutions. Then, solving the second subproblem, a closed-form power solution is obtained utilizing a three-dimensional geometric power control approach (3D-PCA). Finally, we solve the original problem through an iterative method. Simulation results show that the proposed NOMA-JVP-SA-PCA effectively enhances the sum-rate and outperforms the baseline algorithms around 24%-53% within a specific range. © 2014 IEEE.

To ensure the security of image information and facilitate efficient management in the cloud, the utilization of reversible data hiding in encrypted images (RDHEI) has emerged as pivotal. However, most existing RDHEI schemes suffer from lower security and limited embedding capacity. To tackle these challenges, we propose a reversible data hiding with secret encrypted image sharing and adaptive coding scheme. Specifically, in the encryption phase, we introduce an improved secret sharing (SS) encryption method based on the chinese remainder theorem for polynomials (CRTP). This method not only improves the security of encrypted images but also vacates a larger room for embedding. In the embedding phase, we introduce an adaptive coding embedding approach using XOR preservation (XORP) and huffman coding, which provides high embedding capacity. Experimental results and security analysis demonstrate that our proposed encryption method achieves optimal values in security indicators for encrypted images, such as information entropy, histograms, NPCR and UACI. The proposed embedding method is superior to some state-of-the-art schemes in terms of embedding capacity. Furthermore, in datasets BOSSBase and BOWS2, the average embedding rates of the proposed embedding approach can reach 2.1745 bpp and 2.0656 bpp, respectively. © 2025 IEEE.

Research on Lightweight Sensing technology Based on Single-Antenna Multicarrier

Channel State information (CSI) serves as a critical indicator of wireless signal conditions and is widely regarded by researchers for its sensitivity in detecting changes within the channel. However, traditional sensing technologies often require substantial data and intricate learning algorithms, highlighting an urgent need for advancements in lightweight sensing technologies. These technologies should leverage simpler terminal devices, reduced data volumes, and more straightforward classification algorithms to achieve sensing capability that are comparable to those offered by more complex and established methods. This paper concentrates on the lightweight application of wireless sensing and encompasses the following key contributions: 1) The development of a lightweight sensing model utilizing a single-antenna multicarrier system, which introduces a CSI ratio model that adapts multi-antenna techniques for single-antenna settings;2) The enhancement of feature stability through the introduction of a complex-plane fitting method using artificial vector, alongside a dual receiver based method for cross-scene feature generation aimed at producing stable and high-quality auxiliary features. Experimental results show that the feature extraction capability of the single-antenna multicarrier CSI ratio model is close to that of traditional multi-antenna scheme. On the gait dataset, when the enhanced CSI ratio is used as a feature, the accuracy is nearly 100%, surpassing the 93% accuracy of the original amplitude feature. On the gesture dataset, the combination of the enhanced CSI ratio and PEI features achieves an accuracy of 96%, which is superior to using the original CSI amplitude feature alone. An analysis of resource consumption shows that the lightweight SVM model incurs very low computational overhead during decision-making, validating the potential of this scheme in terms of efficiency and practical application. © 2014 IEEE.

Rainfall impacts daily activities and can lead to severe hazards such as flooding. Traditional rainfall measurement systems often lack granularity or require extensive infrastructure. While the attenuation of electromagnetic waves due to rainfall is well-documented for frequencies above 10 GHz, sub-6 GHz bands are typically assumed to experience negligible effects. However, recent studies suggest measurable attenuation even at these lower frequencies. This study presents the first channel state information (CSI)-based measurement and analysis of rainfall attenuation at 2.8 GHz. The results confirm the presence of rain-induced attenuation at this frequency, although classification remains challenging. The attenuation follows a power-law decay model, with the rate of attenuation decreasing as rainfall intensity increases. Additionally, rainfall onset significantly increases the delay spread. Building on these insights, we propose RainGaugeNet, the first CSI-based rainfall classification model that leverages multipath and temporal features. Using only 20 seconds of CSI data, RainGaugeNet achieved over 90% classification accuracy in line-of-sight scenarios and over 85% in non-line-of-sight scenarios, significantly outperforming state-of-the-art methods. In image segmentation for medical image analysis, effective upsampling is crucial for recovering spatial information lost during downsampling. This challenge becomes more pronounced when dealing with diverse medical image modalities, which can significantly impact model performance. Plain and standard skip connections, widely used in most models, often fall short of maintaining high segmentation accuracy across different modalities, because essential spatial information transferred from the encoder to the decoder is lost. Inspired by these limitations, the Attention-Embedded Deep UNet (ATEDU-Net) is presented here, an innovative framework designed and tested on diverse medical image modalities, including X-ray, breast ultrasound, and retinal fundus images. ATEDU-Net features a unique architecture that combines progressive context refinement modules (PCRM) and global context modules (GCM) within a U-shaped network structure with Convgroup blocks which facilitate the integration of convolutional operations. This allows ATEDU-Net to autonomously capture rich spatial details and crucial contextual information from input images. The GCM captures essential contextual information for informed decision-making, while the PCRM enhances feature attention, resulting in precise and robust segmentation. The experimentation and analysis demonstrate that ATEDU-Net promises to be a powerful tool for medical professionals, aiding in the early detection of chest-related diseases, accurate localization of breast tumors, and early identification of eye diseases. This, in turn, contributes significantly to the formulation of optimal therapeutic strategies, enhancing patient care and outcomes. The versatility of ATEDU-Net is further highlighted by its ability to analyze medical images across various modalities, making it well-suited for the complex task of medical image analysis in diverse clinical scenarios. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

TSGN: Transaction Subgraph Networks Assisting Phishing Detection in Ethereum

Due to the decentralized and public nature of the blockchain ecosystem, malicious activities on the Ethereum platform impose immeasurable losses on users. At the same time, the transparency of cryptocurrency transactions provides a unique opportunity to analyze illegal activities, such as phishing scams, from a network perspective. Most existing phishing scam detection methods focus primarily on analyzing account interaction networks, which limits their ability to uncover transaction behavior patterns embedded within transaction interactions. To address this, we construct the Transaction SubGraph Network (TSGN) by using transaction subgraphs as basic elements and further propose a novel framework for Ethereum phishing account detection. Specifically, we rebuild the graph structures via three well-designed mapping mechanisms, yielding TSGN and its two variants, i.e., Directed-TSGN and Temporal-TSGN, to obtain direction-aware and time-aware transfer flow features. By further incorporating the mapping strategy into transaction multidigraphs, we develop the Multiple-TSGN, which could preserve more transaction flow features while concurrently reducing the time consumption of modeling large-scale networks. TSGN models based on transaction subgraph interactions can capture complex higher-order dependencies, which lay beyond the reach of models that exclusively capture pairwise account interactions. As a general framework, our model can incorporate various feature extraction methods to improve the performance of phishing detection. Extensive experimental results on Ethereum datasets show that our method achieves superior performance in phishing detection, yielding 3.27%∼6.71% relative improvement over previous state-of-the-art. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Cancer, a global health threat, demands effective diagnostic solutions to combat its impact on public health, particularly for breast, colon, and lung cancers. Early and accurate diagnosis is essential for successful treatment, prompting the rise of Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems as reliable and cost-effective tools. Histopathology, renowned for its precision in cancer imaging, has become pivotal in the diagnostic landscape of breast, colon, and lung cancers. However, while deep learning models have been widely explored in this domain, they often face challenges in generalizing to diverse clinical settings and in efficiently capturing both local and global feature representations, particularly for multi-class tasks. This underscores the need for models that can reduce biases, improve diagnostic accuracy, and minimize error susceptibility in cancer classification tasks. To this end, we introduce ResoMergeNet (RMN), an advanced deep-learning model designed for both multi-class and binary cancer classification using histopathological images of breast, colon, and lung. ResoMergeNet integrates the Resboost mechanism which enhances feature representation, and the ConvmergeNet mechanism which optimizes feature extraction, leading to improved diagnostic accuracy. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art models show ResoMergeNet's superior performance. Validated on the LC-25000 and BreakHis (400× and 40× magnifications) datasets, ResoMergeNet demonstrates outstanding performance, achieving perfect scores of 100 % in accuracy, sensitivity, precision, and F1 score for binary classification. For multi-class classification with five classes from the LC25000 dataset, it maintains an impressive 99.96 % across all performance metrics. When applied to the BreakHis dataset, ResoMergeNet achieved 99.87 % accuracy, 99.75 % sensitivity, 99.78 % precision, and 99.77 % F1 score at 400× magnification. At 40× magnification, it still delivered robust results with 98.85 % accuracy,

Given the challenges facing the cyberspace of the nation, this paper presents the tripartite theory of cyberspace, based on the status quo of cyberspace. Corresponding strategies and a research architecture are proposed for common public networks （C space）, secure classified networks （S space）, and key infras- tructure networks （K space）, based on their individual characteristics. The features and security require- ments of these networks are then discussed. Taking C space as an example, we introduce the SMCRC （which stands for ＂situation awareness, monitoring and management, cooperative defense, response and recovery, and countermeasures and traceback＂） loop for constructing a cyberspace security ecosys- tem. Following a discussion on its characteristics and information exchange, our analysis focuses on the critical technologies of the SMCRC loop. To obtain more insight into national cyberspace security, special attention should be paid to global sensing and precise mapping, continuous detection and active manage- ment, cross-domain cooperation and systematic defense, autonomous response and rapid processing, and accurate traceback and countermeasure deterrence.
