For a complex network, detecting the key links is of great importance. In recent years, many community detecting algorithms have been proposed, which have both advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, we propose and compare some classical community detecting algorithms and choose the best one of them to detect the key links of the complex network.

Wireless communication network has such features as limited bandwidth, changeful channel and dynamic topology, etc. Ad hoc network has lots of difficulties in accessing control, bandwidth distribution, resource assign and congestion control. Therefore, a wireless resource distributing algorithm based on communication transmission performance factors is proposed in the paper. The algorithm makes quantitative and qualitative analysis for influencing factors of transmission performance, as a result, node resource distribution "relative unfairness" is introduced to realize resource re-distribution while network resource is changing. At the same time, in order to ensure fairness of data transmission and timeliness of network packets, transmitting priority levels for each data packets are established based on latency time and its original priority level in the node. The simulation results show that the algorithm can ensure fairness and timeliness of network transmission, as well as improve ad hoc network resource integrated utilization efficiency. © 2012 IEEE.

Through introducing Koch fractal theory, an ordinary AMC structure and broadband Koch fractal AMC ground planes are designed and compared. The bandwidth and performance improvement of the fractal AMC ground plane are taken into consideration to acquire the low-profile antenna system at the frequency band from 40MHz to 70MHz. This research establishes the theoretical foundation for further experimental study. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper, frequency selective surface (FSS) with relative zero-phase shift is realized and characterized. The FSS unit cell is designed by adding cross aperture to the cross loop slot at its center, and the four ends are placed by Y-shaped slots. Compared with normal FSS, the FSS with the relative zero-phase shift avoid the aberrance of the main lobe direction on the radiation pattern of antenna, when the FSS is designed for the radome. Numerical simulations are carried out to validate wider bandwidth and better angle stability. It is a miracle that the epsilon-near-one(ENO) metamaterial properties are presented, so the screen of these FSSs have many properties similar to air. The near-field and far-field are almost not affected by the screen for the cylindrical wave. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper, a zero index metamaterial lens (ZIML) based on Z-shaped meta-atom is proposed to achieve directive emission. Z-shaped meta-atom is implement as the unit cell of the ZIML to achieve near zero permittivity for wideband. Patch antennas work at, respectively, 7.27 GHz, 8.02 GHz and 9.14GHz are used to test the directivity enhancement of the ZIML. Simulation results demonstrate that the ZIML we designed is able to significantly improve the directivity of the patch antennas. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper, three types of EIT metamaterials are presented and numerically investigated. The type I metamaterial consists of the SR and the SRR, which are coupled with each other and assigned as the dark resonator and the radiative resonator, respectively. The metamaterial can exhibit EIT effect to both normally and laterally incident electromagnetic waves because of its electric and magnetic response, respectively. The type II magnetic metamaterial consists of the split ring resonator (SRR) and the spiral resonator (SR) along two orthogonal axes. For the excitation with the magnetic field perpendicular to the SRR plane, the SRR and the SR are designated as the radiative element and the dark element, respectively. A transparency window is observed in the overlapped absorption band of the independent resonator because of the destructive interference between the radiative and dark resonators of the metamaterial. The type III metamaterial is consisted of three cut wires of different sizes and parallel to each other. The resonance frequencies are different because the lengths of three metal wires are different. Under the polarization of electrical field, because three cut wires experience strong resonance, two-two overlaps of absorption bands of three cut wires will induce two transparency windows. Numerical simulations are carried out to validate the three types of EIT metamaterials, and the results have proven to be quite effective. © 2012 IEEE.

Antenna lens can obviously eincrease the gain of the antenna by method of gathering. Also, metamaterial lens can achieve the gathering effect with aspheric surface. In this paper, a new type of metamaterial lens is designed. It is easy to identify as Left-hand material with double negative electromagnetic constant, realizing a negative permittivity and a negative permeability simultaneously. The new structure can perform at a lower frequency and the band of the structure can get a good result in broad band. In addition, the new proposed metamaterial lens do not change the S-parameter of the original antenna. The gain can be increased by 2 dB with the new structure of the metamaterial lens. © 2012 IEEE.

Multi-hop time synchronization in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is often time-consuming and error-prone due to random time-stamp delays for MAC layer access and unstable clocks of intermediate nodes. Constructive interference (CI), a recently discovered physical layer phenomenon, allows multiple nodes transmit and forward an identical packet simultaneously. By leveraging CI, we propose direct multi-hop (DMH) time synchronization by directly utilizing the time-stamps from the sink node instead of intermediate nodes, which avoids the error caused by the unstable clock of intermediate nodes. DMH doesn't need decode the flooding time synchronization beacons. Moreover, DMH explores the linear regression technique in CI based time synchronization to counterbalance the clock drifts due to clock skews. © 2012 ACM.

Focusing on the protection of privacy and non- publicity of special networks, the CPN model is extended to PCPN by the protocol factor and the formal model. The FPCPN (Formal Protocol Colored Petri Net) is presented to analyze the operation mechanism of protocols. It is introduced by four steps, such as the whole structure, the network element conversion, the conditions of transition triggers/executions and sub-system partitions. Finally, the feasibility and efficiency of FPCPN is validated by an example.
