The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the world *** reaction to the pandemic related issues has been pouring into social platforms,such as *** public officials and governments use Twitter to make policy *** keep close track of the related information and express their concerns about the policies on *** is beneficial yet challenging to derive important information or knowledge out of such Twitter *** this paper,we propose a Tripartite Graph Clustering for Pandemic Data Analysis(TGC-PDA)framework that builds on the proposed models and analysis:(1)tripartite graph representation,(2)non-negative matrix factorization with regularization,and(3)sentiment *** collect the tweets containing a set of keywords related to coronavirus pandemic as the ground truth *** framework can detect the communities of Twitter users and analyze the topics that are discussed in the *** extensive experiments show that our TGC-PDA framework can effectively and efficiently identify the topics and correlations within the Twitter data for monitoring and understanding public opinions,which would provide policy makers useful information and statistics for decision making.

Low power consumption is one of the key elements to make UWB technology be the solution for future short-range and high-speed indoor wireless communications. To face the power limitation drawback, while still maintaining significant error correction capabilities, employing cooperation into UWB communications can bring a great performance. In this paper, symbol-error-rate (SER) performance is analyzed and a joint subband assignment and power allocation algorithm has been proposed for cooperative multiband OFDM UWB systems with decode-and-forward (DF) cooperative protocol. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can save up much power consumption compared to the average power allocation scheme. ©2009 IEEE.

In most research, cooperation is associated with a node's willingness to sacrifice resources for the benefit of other nodes in the networks. But in WAPN applications especially in power limited UWB networks, nodes are independent selfish individuals and they do not voluntary to help other nodes. Cooperation strategy based on the game theory method is studied here. An unsymmetrical system model is constructed, and a price game based on a new payoff function is proposed to describe the cooperation in this model. The proposed pricing game is shown to converge to Nash equilibrium by the iteration algorithm, which effectively increases the payoffs of the users and the system. ©2009 IEEE.

With the increasing number of host and application to be monitored in the enterprise, the traditional SNMP-based management systems have difficulties to extend and integrate with other applications. WSDM-based host and application monitoring can solve this problem well through web service. In this paper, we design and implement a scalable host and application monitoring framework based on WSDM which maps host's and application's manageability capability to web service. The testing results show that this framework has good scalability and easier integration with other management systems. © 2011 IEEE.

Smart grid is envisioned as a critical application of cyber-physical systems and of the internet of things. In the smart grid, smart meters equipped with wireless sensors can upload meter readings （data） to smart grid control and schedule centers via the advanced metering infrastructure to improve power delivery efficiency. However, data gathered in short intervals, such as 15 minutes, will expose customers＇ detailed daily activities （for example, when they get up and when they use oven） using nonintrusive appliance load monitoring. Thus, data must be hidden to protect customers＇ privacy. However, data accountability is still required for emergency responses or to trace back suspected intrusions, even though the data is anonymous. In addition to desired security requirements, this imposes two extra tasks： Sensors in smart meters usually have resource constraints; thus, the desired security protocols have to remain lightweight in terms of computation and storage cost. Furthermore, scalability and flexibility are required since there exist vast meters. This paper presents a lightweight Privacy-aware yet Accountable Secure Scheme called PASS which guarantees privacy-aware accountability yet tackles the above challenges in the smart grid. A formal secu- rity analysis justifies that PASS can attain the security goals, while a performance analysis verifies that PASS requires few computations, and is scalable and flexible.

Image matting is a technique used to separate the foreground of an image from the background, which estimates an alpha matte that indicates pixel-wise degree of transparency. To precisely extract target objects and address the ambiguity of solutions in image matting, many existing approaches employ a trimap or background image provided by the user as additional input to guide the matting process. This article introduces a novel matting paradigm termed text-guided image matting, utilizing a textual description of the foreground object as a guiding element. In contrast to trimap or background-based methods, text-guided matting offers a user-friendly interface, providing semantic clues for the objects of interest. Moreover, it facilitates batch processing across multiple frames featuring the same objects of interest. The proposed text-guided matting approach is implemented through a deep neural network (NN) comprising three-stage cross-modal feature fusion and two-step alpha matte prediction. Experimental results on portrait matting demonstrate the competitive performance of our text-guided approach compared to existing trimap-based and background-based methods. © 2020 IEEE.

Direct measurement of the concurrence of hybrid entangled state based on parity check measurements

The hybrid entangled state is widely discussed in quantum information processing. In this paper, we propose the first protocol to directly measure the concurrence of the hybrid entangled state. To complete the measurement, we design parity check measurements(PCMs) for both the single polarization qubit and the coherent state. In this protocol, we perform three rounds of PCMs. The results show that we can convert the concurrence into the success probability of picking up the correct states from the initial entangled states. This protocol only uses polarization beam splitters, beam splitters, and weak cross-Kerr nonlinearities, which is feasible for future experiments. This protocol may be useful in future quantum information processing.

To make ensure the quality of service of wireless Mesh networks and improve network performance, this paper aims at the problem of load imbalance caused by several existing main wireless Mesh network load balancing algorithms without fully considering the backbone network nodes and link states. A dynamic load balancing algorithm based on network calculus. First, use the depth-first traversal algorithm to construct available paths;then, establish the queuing delay and data backlog model of nodes, and combine the comprehensive calculation of path reliability with nodes and links to obtain a set of reliable paths;finally, calculate the allocation data of different paths The weight of the packet, and distribute data packets on demand according to the weight. Simulation results show that compared with traditional AODV protocol, HWMP protocol and improved LB-HWMP protocol, the algorithm proposed in this paper is superior in delay and throughput. © 2024 SPIE.

Subject to other constraints such as economic costs, limited ground network coverage and insufficient network service capabilities in remote areas have resulted in some unloading requests being rejected. In this paper, the satellite network is used as the supplement of the terrestrial network, and the satellite-ground fusion multi-layer MEC network is constructed to study the offloading strategy and resource allocation for multi-type tasks. Firstly, the priority of task unloading is divided, and then the optimization function is constructed with the goal of minimizing the system overhead, and the improved tabu search algorithm is used to solve the problem. Finally, the feasibility and superiority of the algorithm are verified by experimental simulation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Low Earth Orbit(LEO)multibeam satellites will be widely used in the next generation of satellite communication systems,whose inter-beam interference will inevitably limit the performance of the whole *** precoding such as Tomlinson-Harashima precoding(THP)algorithm has been proved to be a promising technology to solve this problem,which has smaller noise amplification effect compared with linear ***,the similarity of different user channels(defined as channel correlation)will degrade the performance of THP *** this paper,we qualitatively analyze the inter-beam interference in the whole process of LEO satellite over a specific coverage area,and the impact of channel correlation on Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR)of receivers when THP is *** user grouping algorithm is proposed based on the analysis of channel correlation,which could decrease the number of users with high channel correlation in each precoding group,thus improve the performance of ***,our algorithm is designed under the premise of co-frequency deployment and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM),which leads to more users under severe inter-beam interference compared to the existing research on geostationary orbit satellites broadcasting *** results show that the proposed user grouping algorithm possesses higher channel capacity and better bit error rate(BER)performance in high SNR conditions relative to existing works.
