Two-Stage Point Cloud Super Resolution with Local Interpolation and Readjustment via Outer-Product Neural Network

This paper proposes a two-stage point cloud super resolution framework that combines local interpolation and deep neural network based readjustment. For the first stage, the authors apply a local interpolation method to increase the density and uniformity of the target point cloud. For the second stage, the authors employ an outer-product neural network to readjust the position of points that are inserted at the first stage. Comparison examples are given to demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves a better accuracy than existing state-of-art approaches, such as PU-Net, Point Net and DGCNN(Source code is available at https://***/qwerty1319/PC-SR).

By broadcasting false Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals, spoofing attacks will induce false position and time fixes within the victim receiver. In this article, we propose a Sparse Decomposition (SD)-based spoofing detection algorithm in the acquisition process, which can be applied in a single-antenna receiver. In the first step, we map the Fast Fourier transform (FFT)-based acquisition result in a two-dimensional matrix, which is a distorted autocorrelation function when the receiver is under spoof attack. In the second step, the distorted function is decomposed into two main autocorrelation function components of different code phases. The corresponding elements of the result vector of the SD are the code-phase values of the spoofed and the authentic signals. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method can not only outcome spoofing detection result, but provide reliable estimations of the code phase delay of the spoof attack. © 2022 IEEE.

Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) has been researched on for recent years, and extensive studies have been done on hot topics into this field, such as diagnostics, prognostics, and decision making. However, how to evaluate PHM system architecture is still lacking. This is particularly important when designing avionics system equipped with PHM functions. We propose a general, time-variant architecture model that can simulate PHM system. Performance metrics are calculated to quantitatively evaluate the system architecture. This is useful to find differences of architectures in the earlier design stage in engineering. A case study is presented of the use of architecture modelling to show the effectiveness. And future works are discussed. © 2021 IEEE.

In order to suppress the spread of zero-day virus in the network effectively, a zero-day virus suppression strategy was proposed. Based on the mechanism of zero-day virus transmission and the idea of platform dynamic defense, the corresponding methods of virus transmission suppression are put forward. By changing the platform switching frequency, the scale of zero-day virus transmission and its inhibition effect are simulated in a small-world network model. Theory and computer simulation results show that the idea of platform switching can effectively restrain the spread of virus. © 2021 IEEE.

Security is one of the key issues in the development of wireless communication systems, and wireless communication is highly susceptible to security threats, such as eavesdropping and interference due to its openness and broadcast nature. Traditional security is achieved by cryptography above the physical layer, which lacks effective security measures. In this paper, we propose a dynamic cyclic prefix (CP) insertion scheme by using one-dimensional chaotic mapping and multiple-parameter weighted fractional Fourier transform (MPWFRFT) communication method, chaotic mapping is used to control the length of the inserted CP, as CP length changes at each block, and eavesdroppers can not fully get information about the chaotic mapping, physical layer security can be achieved. simulation analysis shows that the proposed method can maintain good BER performance, and the generated signal has a low interception property. © 2021 IEEE.

At present, most of the existing methods combine the data from different views mechanically to obtain the latent subspace with complementary information, which not only fails to make full use of the data information from specific perspectives but also brings redundancy. Therefore, we propose a novel multi-view subspace clustering method. It utilizes cycle projection to obtain a subspace construction model. At the same time, by learning the global structure and local manifold structure of this subspace while assigning learnable weights to different views, the consensus information among views and specific information from different views are captured according to the importance of different views. In this way, our method effectively reduces the original noise and redundancy, and further carries out the improvement of complementarity and consistency among views. The proposed method is optimized by using the Augmented Lagrangian Multiplier with Alternating Direction Minimization (ALM- ADM) algorithm. Experiment results on benchmark datasets confirm the effectiveness of our method.

IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a popular way for mobile devices to access the Internet. Operators and service providers often increase the density of wireless access points in order to provide users with better connections and user experience. As a result, WLAN users find themselves covered by multiple access points. In traditional wireless multi-hotspot networks most user terminals choose the access point with the strongest signal without considering the existing load on that access point, leading to severe congestion and load imbalance problems. This paper proposes an improved NSGA-II-based load balancing strategy for wireless multi-hotspot networks, which determines which hotspot should be associated with each user terminal by taking into account the current access point load, the received signal strength and the throughput size of the user terminal. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional strongest signal First (SSF) strategy, the proposed load balancing strategy can improve the network throughput by more than 30%. © 2022 IEEE.

The accurate segmentation of stroke lesion regions holds immense significance in shaping treatment strategies and rehabilitation protocols. Due to the large difference in the volume of stroke lesion areas and the great similarity between lesion areas and normal tissues, most of the existing methods for lesion segmentation cannot deal with these problems well. This paper proposes a novel network named MD-TransUNet for the segmentation of stroke lesions, whose framework is based on the UNet architecture. To fully obtain deep image features, it uses ResNet50 for downsampling. MD (multi-dilated) module is employed as the skip connection to gain more receptive fields. Different receptive fields can adapt to varying volumes of lesion areas. Then, a feature extraction module with multi-level attention mechanism is designed using ConvLSTM, non-local spatial attention, and channel attention modules to suppress useless information expression in skip connections and upsampling processes while focusing more on effective spatial and channel information in features. The experiments show that our proposed network gets superior performance than benchmark methods and indicates the generalization and effectiveness of the proposed model. © ICST Institute for Computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

In this paper, we propose a branch and bound space saving method for finding all multiple longest common subsequences (MLCS). First, a more reasonable lower bound estimation strategy is designed. To construct a local directed acyclic graph (DAG graph) for the sequences, the size and distribution of the matching point coordinates are both considered when retaining nodes in each layer, so that the real common subsequence obtained is as long as possible. Then, a simpler upper bound estimation strategy is devised. A new concept 'boundary point' is defined, and a new upper bound calculation formula is derived by using the properties of the boundary point. So the upper bound value of the length of the branch of the current node can be quickly estimated, and the node is added to the graph only when this upper bound value is not less than the lower bound value. In addition, a storage-saving graph model is designed, which only retains the nodes with in-degree 0 at any time, and each node stores the string set corresponding to all paths from the source point to the node itself. The comparison experiments with 3 state-of-the-art algorithms on the standard biological data set indicate that the proposed algorithm is more effective and efficient. © 2023 IEEE.
