Satellite network traffic forecasting provides key information for routing and resource allocation, which is important for the efficient operation of satellite network. However, due to the self-similarity and long-range dependence (LRD) of satellite network traffic, traditional linear or non-linear network traffic forecasting models cannot achieve sufficient forecasting accuracy. A combined model of satellite network traffic forecasting based on BPNN and ARIMA is proposed. BPNN is adopted to forecast the residuals. EMD-ARIMA and BPNN forecasting results are combined to achieve satellite network traffic forecasting. Experimental results on the satellite network traffic data generated by the ON/OFF model show that forecast accuracy of the proposed method is better than traditional model, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed satellite network traffic forecast model.

A dynamic planning method for satellite imaging mission based on improved genetic algorithm

The ongoing enhancement of imaging satellite platforms in terms of payload capacity, coupled with the proliferation of imaging satellites, introduces new complexities to the mission planning processes. These enhancements enable broader applications and significantly increase the societal benefits derived from imaging satellites. To address these challenges, a specific kinematic model for dynamic imaging attitudes is constructed, taking into account the dynamics of satellite imaging missions. This model uses information from satellite imaging observation tasks to design constraints that govern the planning of imaging tasks. Additionally, an optimization objective function is established to ensure compliance with these planning constraints. Building on the encoding method for relative imaging moments, an adaptive genetic algorithm tailored for satellite imaging task planning is introduced. This algorithm enhances the iterative efficiency of decision variables involved in satellite imaging tasks. Empirical validation through comparative simulation experiments, using a typical satellite imaging mission as a case study, demonstrates the effectiveness of the adaptive genetic algorithm. In various phases of imaging mission planning, the algorithm achieved a 100% task completion rate. The index function gain was enhanced by 21.47%, and the maximum synthetic angular velocity of attitude maneuvers between different targets peaked at the satellite's maneuvering threshold of 7 degrees per second. By leveraging adaptive genetic algorithms, satellite imaging mission planning can optimize mission completion rates and effectively utilize the satellite's maximum attitude maneuver capabilities. © 2024 Demin Zhao et al., published by Sciendo.

A magneto-quasi-static (MQS) surface integral equation (SIE) formulation with loop analysis is proposed to extract the impedance of interconnects in packages. The loop analysis is developed with an independent and complete set of unknowns according to the graph theory, which can significantly reduce the dimension of the final matrix. With the pre-corrected fast Fourier Transform (pFFT), large-scale interconnects can be efficiently modelled. A practical example in packages is carried out to validate the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed formulation. Results show that the proposed formulation is accurate and flexible to model complex interconnects in packages compared with the industrial solver. © 2023 IEEE.

In smart building, services are stored as rules and achieved by rule analyzing and executing. However, the irrational contents of rules and conflicts between rules may bring confusion and maloperation in the rule system. In this paper, we propose a lightweight rule verification and resolution framework to solve the problem which provides content anomaly detection and rule conflict detection. We also provide a quick resolution strategy for rule conflicts based on conflict-scenario-analysis so as to guarantee the rule system performing appropriately.

GEO SAR has great potential in marine surveillance. But the extremely low SNR of echo, resulting in the traditional signal integration method become invalid. This paper proposes an improved GRFT-based approach to realize the moving ship targets' radial accelerated velocity estimation. Firstly, the accurate slant range is constructed which has considered the curved synthetic aperture trajectory. Then, the GRFT-based estimation method is redefined to realize radial accelerated velocity estimation and imaging. Finally, the simulation results are given to verify the proposed methods.

The non-uniform distribution of smoke and laser spot seriously limits the imaging ability of single-photon lidar through smoke. To this end, based on the collision theory between photons and smoke particles, this paper establishes the time-domain distribution model of scattered photons (Gamma), which considers the lidar system parameters and the characteristics of smoke particles. The shape parameter and inverse scale parameter are defined as the maximum scattering number K and the average scattering number β, respectively. The indoor test effectively illustrates the estimation ability of the model for smoke. The parameter estimation results show that the average scattering number β and the maximum scattering number K increase linearly with the increase of attenuation coefficient. This study is of great significance for the suppression of smoke backscattering and is expected to improve the weather adaptability of single-photon lidar. © 2022 SPIE.

Crank block steering mechanism optimization is a nonlinear constrained optimization problem, which is important for forklift truck to get preferable steering performance. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) with feasibility-based rules is a swarm intelligent algorithm proposed to solve constrained optimization problems simply and effectively. Therefore, it is used to optimize crank block steering mechanism of forklift truck, which will try to minimize the maximal error of outer wheel steering angle, maximize the minimal transmission angle and improve the force transmission. Experimental results obtained by PSO with feasibility-based rules are compared with those obtained by enumeration algorithm which is reliable for optimization problems. The comparison results showed that particle swarm optimization with feasibility-based rules can get same optimal results as enumeration algorithm in much less calculation times. © 2010 IEEE.

Geosynchronous synthetic aperture radar (GEO SAR) has great potentials in synthetic aperture radar ground moving target indication (SAR-GMTI) due to its high time resolution and wide swath coverage. But the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of echo is too low and multichannel configuration cannot be realize in GEO monostatic SAR. Therefore, geosynchronous spaceborne-airborne bistatic multichannel synthetic aperture radar (GEO-SABM SAR) can realize enhanced SNR and multichannel configuration. In this paper, we establish the slant range model for GEO-SABM SAR and give the VSAR processing flowchart. Finally, the numerical experiments is given to verify the effectiveness of proposed method.

In some case, the azimuth spectrum bandwidth is larger than the pulse repetition frequency (PRF), leading to a whole azimuth spectrum has been folded into multiple subsegments and aliased. Therefore, the traditional Doppler ambiguous integer estimation method cannot be used directly. In this paper, the influence of Doppler ambiguous integer on residual range migrations' slope is analyzed. Based on the slope, the Doppler ambiguous integer estimation method for moving targets with azimuth spectrum aliasing is given. From the simulation results, the Doppler ambiguous integer can be estimated accurately by proposed method.

Geosynchronous Spaceborne-Airborne Bistatic multichannel SAR (GEO-SABM SAR) maintains the fine temporal sampling and wide coverage characteristics of monostatic GEO SAR. But due to the PRF of GEO platform is very low, azimuth spectrum aliasing (ASA) will occur in GEO-SABM SAR which will make a moving target divided into several sub-targets. In this paper, a location method for ground moving target with ASA has given. From the simulation results, the moving target can be discriminated and located.
