The synthesis of two linear terpy-based metallo-supramolecular fluorescent coordination polymers through 1 : 1 complexation of Zn^2+ and Cd^2+ ions with ditopic terpyridine ligand was reported. The dispersibility of P1 and P2 was significantly improved in organic solvent and water through the introduction of hydrophilic oligo-ethyoxy side chain. Two polymers displayed yellow light emission both in solution and the solid state due to the intra-ligand charge transfer (ILCT) between the d^10 metal ions and the conjugated spacer unit. These coordination polymers were explored as fluorescent chemosensors for detecting picric acid in aqueous media, displaying high sensitivity and good selectivity. In addition, test strips were prepared from these polymers and exhibited the practical potential of detecting the NACs pollutants in the outdoor water for public safety and security.

We study the nonequilibrium effects of spin and/or electric currents on the helical indirect exchange interactions of local spins that embedded in general open electronic systems. Especially, besides the synthesized anisotropic Heisenberg interactions, we find that the synthetic helical indirect exchange interactions possess two parts: antisymmetric (Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction) and symmetric (Kaplan-Shekhtman-Entin-Wohlman-Aharony interaction), which are all formulated in terms of Keldysh nonequilibrium Green's functions. The presence of either spin-orbit coupling or spin polarized currents alone is able to synthesize and control the antisymmetric Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya exchange interactions, as the same direction as spin splitting. However, the appearance of symmetric Kaplan-Shekhtman-Entin-Wohlman-Aharony interactions requires both, i.e., the spin-orbit coupling and spin polarized currents with different splitting directions. Our results show the detailed scheme of controlling the sign, magnitude, and direction of indirect Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya vectors and Kaplan-Shekhtman-Entin-Wohlman-Aharony interactions at nonequilibrium in open quantum devices.

We revisit the evaluations for the spacelike and timelike ρπ transition form factors Fρπ(Q2) and Gρπ(Q2) with the inclusion of the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD contributions in the framework of the kT-factorization theorem. The infrared divergence is regularized by the transversal momentum carried by external valence quarks, and ultimately absorbed into the meson wave functions. In the region of Q2≤2 GeV2, where the perturbative QCD factorization approach is applicable, the NLO contribution can bring no larger than 35% enhancement to the spacelike form factor Fρπ(Q2). For the timelike form factor derived under the kinematic exchanging symmetry, this contribution is also under control when the momentum transfer squared is large enough. We also prolong our prediction into the small Q2 region by taking the lattice QCD results into account, and subsequently obtain the coupling gρπγ=Gρπ(0)=0.596.
