To achieve high-precision attitude control of ships, the output delay, state coupling, and controller parameter maladjustment of the rudder fin joint anti-rolling system are studied. A predictive anti-rolling method based on active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) and deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) is proposed. The external forces on the ship are analyzed, and a three-degree-of-freedom mathematical model considering rolling, yawing, and pitching is established. The model is decoupled using the idea of ADRC total disturbance for the state coupling problem, then the pitch ADRC controller and the roll-yaw predictive observer are designed respectively. In pitch ADRC, the nonlinear extended state observer (NLESO) is used to observe the total disturbance between models. And the total disturbance observations are feedforward compensated to the error control law. As a result, the rapidity of reference output tracking and robustness of total disturbance are realized. The roll-yaw predictive observer solves the output delay by feeding the predicted output back to the controller instead of the actual output. To ensure the accuracy of the prediction output, the DDPG algorithm is introduced to modify the parameters of the prediction observer in real-time. Finally, state constraints are added to solve the rudder angle and fin angle control laws. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper is concerned with the resilient filtering problem for a class of discrete-time stochastic nonlinear systems with both time-varying delays and probabilistic distributed delays. In order to save the limited communication resource, stochastic communication protocols (SCPs) with multiple rules governed by a switching signal are employed to schedule the data transmission between the sensors and the filter for complying with different network scenarios and preserving the desired performance. An approach based on average dwell time (ADT) is utilized to establish the rule of SCPs for different scenarios. The purpose of the filtering problem is to design a resilient filter such that, under the regulation of SCPs, the dynamics of the filtering error is exponentially mean-square stable, and satisfies a prescribed disturbance attenuation level in a 2-∞ sense. A sufficient condition for the exponential mean-square stability is first derived and the 2-∞ performance is then guaranteed. In terms of certain linear matrix inequalities, the solvability of the addressed problem is discussed and the explicit expression of the desired resilient filter is also parameterized. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed design approach. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd

For the dynamic reconfiguration problem of distribution networks, the handling of switching cost constraint and the division of time period are the two key aspects that affect the performance of the reconfiguration algorithm. In this paper, an improved temporal constrained hierarchical clustering algorithm for dynamic reconfiguration of distribution networks is proposed. Firstly, the improved hierarchical clustering approach considering the temporal constraint is used to divide the operating status of the distribution network into multiple time intervals according to the similarity of loads and the output power of distributed generations (DGs). The dynamic reconfiguration of distribution networks is then transformed into multiple single-stage static reconfiguration problems, and the cluster center is used to approximately represent the load state and DG output state of the period. In order to reduce the number of infeasible solutions and poor solutions, a coding method based on heuristic rules to reduce the solution space of distribution network reconfiguration is proposed. An improved fireworks algorithm based on heuristic rules is proposed to solve the reconfiguration problem. Finally, a modified IEEE-33 test system is used to verify the validity of the proposed method. © 2020 IEEE.

Evasion strategies of a three-player lifeline game

This study examines a multi-player pursuit-evasion game, more specifically, a three-player lifeline game in a planar environment, where a single evader is tasked with reaching a lifeline prior to capture. A decomposition method based on an explicit policy is proposed to address the game qualitatively from two main aspects:(1) the evader's position distribution to guarantee winning the game(i.e., the escape zone),which is based on the premise of knowing the pursuers' positions initially, and(2) evasion strategies in the escape zone. First, this study decomposes the three-player lifeline game into two two-player sub-games and obtains an analytic expression of the escape zone by constructing a barrier, which is an integration of the solutions of two sub-games. This study then explicitly partitions the escape zone into several regions and derives an evasion strategy for each region. In particular, this study provides a resultant force method for the evader to balance the active goal of reaching the lifeline and the passive goal of avoiding capture. Finally,some examples from a lifeline game involving more than one pursuer are used to verify the effectiveness and scalability of the evasion strategies.

Aiming at the complex nonlinear dynamic time-varying characteristics for Czochralski（Cz） silicon single crystal growth process and the difficulty in modeling and controlling the crystal diameter by conventional mechanisms, based on the idea of data-driven modeling and control, this paper proposes an improved model-free sliding mode iterative learning control（MFA-SMILC） method. First, a data-driven model of crystal diameter is established using an extreme learning machine（ELM）with actual process data;Then, based on the compact-format dynamic linear（CFDL） data model, a discrete sliding mode control algorithm is used to design a data-driven controller structure for crystal diameters, and the stability of the iterative tracking error is verified by the stability analysis;Finally, the proposed MFA-SMILC controller is applied to silicon single crystal diameter control, and compared with the conventional model-free adaptive iterative learning control（MFA-ILC）, it is found that MFASMILC has faster response speed and convergence speed, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

With the development of modern weapon techniques, radio frequency integrated technology has attracted widespread attention as a key technology to improve the informationalised level of missiles. Radar and communication are two typical electronic types of equipment, and their integration can support and promote the development of radio frequency integrated technology. In this study, experimental verification of an integrated radar-communication system is carried out. Firstly, the key technologies to achieve radar-communication integration are theoretically analysed. The solutions of the key issues, including signal separation, time synchronisation and frequency synchronisation, are proposed. Furthermore, a radar-communication demo is implemented and the experimental verification is carried out here to verify the feasibility of the proposed methods. © This is an open access article published by the IET under the Creative Commons Attribution License (http://***/licenses/by/3.0/)

Magnetic Levitation system (MLS) is a complex nonlinear control system. The aim of MLS control is to keep the vertical position of a metal ball by adjusting the duty ratio of electromagnet voltage. Sliding mode controller achieves the robustness to unknown disturbance and uncertainty, however, its control variable chattering is an obstacle for applications. There are some traditional methods to reduce the chattering at the cost of increasing the steady state error. In this paper, we present an improved reaching law based on proportional-derivative (PD) sliding surface to reduce the chattering, at the same time, to reduce steady-state error. The simulation is performed to test the effectiveness of the proposed method. The proposed method is compared with four other controllers to show the superiority.

In many previous studies, the analytical model of weapon-target assignment (WTA) is only based on the maximum damage to hostile targets. In order to overcome the deficiency of single decision-making, three sub models are established, which not only take the maximum damage to hostile targets, but also minimum loss and shortest interception time as the optimization objectives. In the meantime, the established models combine the air defense operation pattern and the characteristics of multiple air defense platforms. Based on the sub models, a weighted WTA model is proposed in this study using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy method. Through optimization, the optimal air defense WTA scheme is obtained by the weighted WTA model, and the optimization results are analyzed. Comparative study demonstrates that it is more reasonable to optimize the WTA scheme with multi-objectives.

Aiming at the problem of sudden threat avoidance in the process of aircraft formation cooperative penetration, formation collision avoidance strategies based on improved artificial potential field method are proposed. The effective range of the artificial repulsion potential field and the collision avoidance airspace of the sudden threat source are established. To improve the artificial potential field, the formation velocity correction coefficient and the threat source entry angle correction coefficient are introduced. In addition, the improved artificial repulsion potential energy function is defined. Based on the improved artificial potential filed in three-dimensional space, the formation collision avoidance controller on the horizontal and altitude channel are proposed respectively. Flight control commands such as rudder angle, aileron rudder angle, and elevator yaw angle are given. The simulation results confirm the security and efficiency of the formation collision avoidance strategy.
