This paper studies the problem of stabilizing a self-triggered control system with quantized output. Employing a standard observer-based state feedback control law, a self-triggering mechanism that dictates the next sampling time based on quantized output is co-developed with an output encoding scheme. If, in addition, the transmission protocols at the controller-to-actuator (C-A) and sensor-to-controller (S-C) channels can be adapted, the self-triggered control architecture can be considerably simplified, leveraging a delicate observer-based deadbeat controller to eliminate the need for running the controller in parallel at the encoder side. To account for denial-of-service (DoS) in the S-C channel, the proposed output encoding and self-triggered control schemes are further made resilient. It is shown that a linear time-invariant system can be exponentially stabilized if some conditions on the average DoS duration time are met. There is a trade-off between the maximum inter-sampling time and the resilience against DoS attacks. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the practical merits of the proposed self-triggered control schemes and associated theory. © 2023, CC BY.

We systematically investigate the four-wave mixing(FWM)spectrum in a dual-cavity hybrid optomechanical system,which is made up of one optical cavity with an ensemble of two-level atoms and another with a mechanical *** this work,we propose that the hybrid dual-cavity optomechanical system can be employed as a highly sensitive mass sensor due to the fact that the FWM spectrum generated in this system has a narrow spectral width and the intensity of the FWM can be easily tuned by controlling the coupling strength(cavity-cavity,atom-cavity).More fascinatingly,the dual-cavity hybrid optomechanical system can also be used as an all-optical switch in view of the easy on/off control of FWM signals by adjusting the atom-pump detuning to be positive or *** proposed schemes have great potential applications in quantum information processing and highly sensitive detection.

Liquid metal-based microchannel heat sinks (MCHSs) suffer from the low heat capacity of coolant, resulting in an excessive temperature rise of coolant and heat sink when dealing with high-power heat dissipation. In this paper, it was found that expanded space at the top of fins could distribute the heat inside microchannels, reducing the temperature rise of coolant and heat sink. The orthogonal experiments revealed that expanding the top space of channels yielded similar temperature reductions to changing the channel width. The flow and thermal modeling of expanded microchannel heat sink (E-MCHS) were analyzed by both using the 3-dimensional (3D) numerical simulation and the 1-dimensional (1D) thermal resistance model. The fin efficiency of E-MCHS was derived to improve the accuracy of the 1D thermal resistance model. The heat conduction of liquid metal in Z direction and the heat convection between the top surface of fins and the liquid metal could reduce the total thermal resistance (Rt). The above process was effective for microchannels with low channel aspect ratio, low mean velocity (Um) or long heat sink length. The maximum thermal resistance reduction in the example of this paper reached 36.0%. The expanded space endowed the heat sink with lower pressure, which might further reduce the pumping power (P). This rule was feasible both when fins were truncated (h_(2) < 0, h_(2) is the height of expanded channel for E-MCHS) and when over plate was raised (h_(2) > 0).

Accurate identification and position of transmission lines is critical for robots to safely and effectively perform distribution network operations. However, such tasks are often challenged by complex lighting conditions, where depth information can be easily lost. Transmission lines have limited texture features and reflective surfaces, making it difficult to match image feature points. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a visual perception system for weak texture targets under complex lighting, based on an "eye-on-hand" configuration and a depth complementation algorithm. Furthermore, a high-precision identification and localization method for transmission line grasping points is developed, utilizing the fusion of binocular visual color maps and depth maps. The proposed method has been shown to effectively solve the problem of identifying and localizing the grasping points of transmission lines under complex lighting conditions. Experiments demonstrated that the method can improve the localization accuracy to within ±4mm, outperforming other algorithms. The method is characterized as simple and efficient, and it enhances the environmental adaptability of distribution network robots. © 2024 IEEE.

When using Gm-APD Lidar for depth imaging through realistic fog, the echo signal of the target is submerged in the background noise due to the strong absorption and scattering characteristics of the fog particles, resulting in serious defect of the recovered depth image of the target. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a dual-parameter estimation algorithm based on continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) to improve the accuracy of fog signal estimation. Then the target and the fog signal are separated by estimating the fog signal of each pixel. Finally, the depth image of the separated target is processed by cross pixel complement and median filtering algorithms to improve the integrity of the target image. The experimental results show that, compared with the traditional algorithm, the target recovery of the reconstructed image is improved by 0.337, and the relative average ranging error is reduced by 0.3897. This research improves the weather adaptability of Gm-APD Lidar. © 2021 SPIE.

In order to solve the autonomous path planning problem with terrain aided navigation constraints, a navigation-first path planning method was adopted, that is, the distribution of terrain matching regions and the drift of navigation errors were given priority, and the path planning problem was transformed into the shortest path problem of single source directed graph to determine the nodes on the path. Secondly, the path planning between adjacent nodes is transformed into a path planning problem with initial direction constraint and terminal direction freedom/constraint, and the lateral path is smoothed. Finally, for the local path passing through the no-fly zone, the obstacle avoidance path planning with initial and terminal direction constraints is carried out based on convex optimization method. The simulation results show that the autonomous path planning method considering terrain aided navigation constraints can plan the shortest flight path under the constraints of navigation accuracy, maneuverability and no-fly zone.

Edges are critical important for the visual appearance of images. The traditional denoising algorithms are difficult to preserve the edges of the image while removing the noise of ICCD sensing image. At the same time, it is difficult to eliminate the problems of image darkness and low resolution caused by uneven illumination. This paper proposes a multilevel filtering image denoising algorithm based on edge information fusion. The target edges detection of the image after non-local means (NL-means) filtering is carried out based on the eight-direction Sobel operator. In order to filter the false edge points and residual noise, an adaptive threshold is determined according to the mean and variance of the eight neighborhood pixels of the detected pixel. Meanwhile, homomorphic filtering is used to enhance the image contrast and uniformity. By comparing the pixel values of the edge image and the homomorphic filtered image, the final denoised image is obtained by fusing the two images. The results indicate that, compared with the traditional algorithms, the edge preserving ability of the proposed algorithm is improved by more than 20%, and the denoising ability is improved by 63.5% for building target. For specific targets (vehicle), the results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm have the maximum edge preserving index and contrast, and the minimum non-uniformity. This algorithm lays a foundation for target segmentation and recognition. © 2021 SPIE.

In this paper, an insulator missing defect detection method is proposed based on unmanned aerial vehicles to solve the problem of glass insulator burst fault detection in high-voltage transmission lines. Firstly, the proposed method utilizes the improved Mask R-CNN (region-based convolutional neural network) algorithm to segment insulator strings in aerial images. Then, the constructed encoder-decoder network is used to extract and reconstruct features of the insulators, resulting in residual images. Finally, the residual images preserve the location information of the fault and obtains the result of missing insulators. The experiment shows that the proposed algorithm has high segmentation accuracy for insulators and high recognition accuracy for insulator missing faults.

The inevitable insulation defects in dry transformers lead to the decomposition of epoxy resin into CO, HCHO, and C₂H₃Cl. To assess the operational status of such electrical equipment, this study proposes a Nb-embedded Janus WSSe (Nb-WSSe) monolayer on basis of first-principles theory as an outstanding material for typical gas detection. It is found that Nb-WSSe monolayer shows chemisorption towards three gas molecules, with largely tuned electronic property. The charge density difference, band structure, density of states and work function of the gas adsorbed systems are well-analyzed, and the sensing mechanism of Nb-WSSe monolayer for exploration of the resistive and Schottky gas sensors are uncovered. The findings manifest the favorable sensitivity and selectively of Nb-WSSe monolayer for detection of three gas *** findings presented in this study hold significant value, as they possess the potential to catalyze Janus TMDCs-based novel gas sensing candidates for use within the realm of electrical engineering. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

We present an efficient two-phase approach to motion planning for fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) navigating in complex 3D air slalom environments. Firstly, in discrete 3D workspace, a global planner computer a obstacle-free path roughly which satisfies the kinematic constraints of the UAV. Given a coarse global path, a local planner generate a Dubins curve with collision avoidance based on the UAS's perception constraints, dynamic constraints and the collision perception information received. We also introduce a method of decoupling the horizontal and vertical motion directions of the fixed-wing UAV, realizing the 2D Dubins curve planning in 3D workspace, along with precomputed sets of motion primitives derived from the vehicle dynamics model in order to achieve high efficiency. Finally, the feasibility of two-phase 3D motion planning in appropriate FOV is experimentally demonstrated.
