To explore the relation between topologic characteristics of dynamic network and performance of the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, the population of PSO is viewed as a network where each particle is represented as a node and the network structure changes dynamically as the fitness of particles varies. Moreover, in this paper, the structural changes involve adding and removing the links but the network size remains the same. Then, two kinds of simulations are conducted. The results from one kind focusing on PSO show that the dynamic network is capable of balancing exploration and exploitation so that the performance of PSO can be improved as long as the weight θ is selected properly. In addition, the results from other kind concerning on topologic characteristics of dynamical network indicate the impact of network structure on algorithm behavior and the law of network evolution.

This paper proposes an improved estimation of distribution algorithm(EDA) based on a class of nested Archimedean copulas which is constructed with Lévy subordinators(LNAcopula-EDA). Utilizing of Lévy subordinators, a class of nested Archimedean copulas has been conveniently constructed. In order to exploit EDA to solve high-dimensional continuous optimization problem, we fully use of the capability of nested Archimedean copula in modeling high-dimensional joint distribution of multivariate with complex rank correlation structure to construct the probability distribution model of promising individuals in EDA. Then, the procedure of LNAcopula-EDA has been presented. And comparing with other EDAs that based on copula functions for the benchmark functions in the experiments, the obtained results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

We put forward a system structure of controlling the tightening operation of bolts using multiraxial tightening machine. A kind of fieldbus intelligent tightening control system is designed with the technology developing of fieldbus intelligent instrumentation. This system is a distributed structure based on fieldbus control system which consists of CAN bus, Profibus-DP bus, and adopts many advanced intelligent control methods. This system structure and intelligent control method study realizes integration of manufacture, control and management in the tightening of bolts and improves the level of network manufacture and information management of automobile industry. The integrating of tightening machine and fieldbus brings a new thought of automobile industry control technology.

As one of valid modeling and coordinated controlling tools, the particle swarm optimization algorithm can be extended for applying to task of swarm robotic search. To gain an insight into effects of key parameters on distributed swarm search, a series of simulations are conducted. In such control algorithm, main parameters including communication range, detection radius, and swarm size are paid close attentions. Similar to ideal “particles”, swarm robots are modeled at an abstract level with the extended particle swarm optimization method. Also, individual robots are designed to be controlled under three-state finite state machine mechanism having SingleSearch, SwarmSearch, and Declaration states. Then, control strategy and algorithm are developed. The statistical results from simulating data indicate the validity of modeling approach. Further, the effects of three parameters on overhead and efficiency of system running come out in compared analysis both of different size swarms and of specific size swarm.

Chaotic synchronization criteria for a class of dynamical networks with each node being RCL-shunted Josephson junction is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithms, which are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), guarantee the synchronized states to be global asymptotically stable. In addition, an interesting conclusion is reached that the chaotic synchronization in the coupled whole 3N-dimensional networks can be converted into that of 3-dimensional space.
