Model validation is one of the core issues in modeling and simulation, which aims to check whether the model output correctly reflects the output of the corresponding real system. Model validation is also a complicated process, which requires powerful software to achieve its purpose. In this paper, we describe a simulation model validation tool (shortly SMVT) that we developed recently for the validation purpose of complex simulation models. We first talk about the functions and architectural design of SMVT and then employ a missile simulation model to demonstrate the application of SMVT. Ultrasonic-driven printing technology is widely used in bioprinting because of its high precision, good biocompatibility, and low cost. However, the conventional ultrasonic printing technology still has problems such as cross-contamination of bio-ink during storage, transportation, and processing, and cumbersome ink replacement process. Therefore, a new ultrasonic printing device is developed in this paper, which uses PZT plates as the driving element. And a fluid sub-system has been fabricated based on the self-made glass micro-nozzle, which is connected to the drive element using ultrasonic couplant gel. The separation of the fluid system and the drive system has been realized through the modular design, thereby realizing the rapid replacement of different inks and this relatively independent fluid system is of great benefit to better sealing and aseptic operation. In addition, a digital model is built to analyze its working mechanism. And an experimental system is established to characterize the performance of the device. The results show that the system can generate droplets stably and accurately, and the droplet volume can be controlled by the excitation voltage amplitude and pulse width. © 2022 IEEE.

The slow conversion of polyphase in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries not only intensifies the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs),but also causes the continuous accumulation of inactive sulfur species,resulting in rapid capacity attenuation and sluggish dynamic ***,the promoting effect of atomic interface stress on sulfur reaction was investigated via CoFe-CoFe_(2)O_(4)heterogeneous nanosheets with a cavity *** strain force induced by the in-situ precipitation of Co Fe bimetallic alloy in oxide matrix increased the d-band center,which was conducive to the interaction between catalyst and Li *** sulfur cathode based on this two-dimensional(2D)nanosheet design showed an extremely high capacity of 751 mAh g^(-1)at 4 *** with a sulfur loading of 5.55 mg cm^(-2),its area capacity was still as high as 7.15 mAh cm^(-2).Meanwhile,the enhanced stability greatly improved the practical potential of Li-S batteries.

Motif provides a local high-order substructure angle for the analysis of network structure evolution, which is of great significance for the study of the interaction between satellite network structure and function. Taking the time scrambling null motif in steady state as a reference, the stability analysis of satellite network structure is carried out from the perspective of the local structure of the motif characteristics; define the temporal degree of satellite network, and propose a satellite network node importance analysis method based on the number of node-constructed triangle motifs, and compare the changes of motifs characteristics under the deliberate attack of temporal degree and based on triangle motifs. simulation experiments are conducted on 46-node GPS constellations containing satellites and ground stations, and it is found that the network with higher initial triangle concentration showed higher stability. In GPS satellite network where the number of node triangle motif is positively correlated with their temporal degree, the attack strategy based on the triangle motif accelerates the attenuation of the triangle subgraph, and the node importance analysis method of the satellite network has higher accuracy.

This article studies the distributed estimation problem of a multi-agent system with bounded absolute and relative range measurements. Parts of the agents are with high-accuracy absolute measurements, which are considered as anchors;the other agents utilize low-accuracy absolute and relative range measurements, each derives an uncertain range that contains its true state in a distributed manner. Different from previous studies, we design a distributed algorithm to handle the range measurements based on extended constrained zonotopes, which has low computational complexity and high precision. With our proposed algorithm, agents can derive their uncertain range sequentially along the chain topology, such that agents with low-accuracy sensors can benefit from the high-accuracy absolute measurements of anchors and improve the estimation performance. simulation results indicate the effectiveness of our algorithm and verify our method can significantly improve the estimation accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Modeling complex systems using standard neural ordinary differential equations (NODEs) often faces some essential challenges, including high computational costs and susceptibility to local optima. To address these challenges, we propose a simulation-free framework, called Fourier NODEs (FNODEs), that effectively trains NODEs by directly matching the target vector field based on Fourier analysis. Specifically, we employ the Fourier analysis to estimate temporal and potential high-order spatial gradients from noisy observational data. We then incorporate the estimated spatial gradients as additional inputs to a neural network. Furthermore, we utilize the estimated temporal gradient as the optimization objective for the output of the neural network. Later, the trained neural network generates more data points through an ODE solver without participating in the computational graph, facilitating more accurate estimations of gradients based on Fourier analysis. These two steps form a positive feedback loop, enabling accurate dynamics modeling in our framework. Consequently, our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods in terms of training time, dynamics prediction, and robustness. Finally, we demonstrate the superior performance of our framework using a number of representative complex systems. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)
