Intelligent vehicles can effectively improve traffic congestion and road traffic *** cruise followingcontrol(ACFC)is a vital part of intelligent *** this paper,a new hierarchical vehicle-following control strategy is presented by synthesizing the variable time headway model,type-2 fuzzy control,feedforward+fuzzy proportion integration(PI)feedback(F+FPIF)control,and inverse longitudinal dynamics model of ***,a traditional variable time headway model is improved considering the acceleration of the lead ***,an interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller(IT2 FLC)is designed for the upper structure of the ACFC system to simulate the driver's operating *** reduce the nonlinear influence and improve the tracking accuracy for the desired acceleration,the control strategy of F+FPIF is given for the lower control ***,the lower control method proposed in this paper is compared with the fuzzy PI control and the traditional method(no lower controller for tracking desired acceleration)***,the proportion integration differentiation(PID),linear quadratic regulator(LQR),subsection function control(SFC)and type-1 fuzzy logic control(T1 FLC)are respectively compared with the IT2 FLC in control performance under different ***,the simulation results show the effectiveness of IT2 FLC for the upper structure and F+FPIF control for the lower structure.

Grating coupler, one of the essential devices in silicon-based optical integrated chip, is still suffering with low coupling efficiency and small operation bandwidth. In this paper, we design and experimentally demonstrate a silicon nitride (Si3N4) grating coupler with high coupling efficiency and large bandwidth. Instead of using bottom distributed Bragg reflector, metal mirror or other complex designs, a bottom silicon grating reflector based on a 220 nm industrially standard silicon-on-insulator wafer is employed to improve coupling efficiency and simplify the fabrication processes. The interlayer coupler enables the light transmission between Si3N4 and Si waveguides. By optimizing structure parameters and apodizing the Si3N4 grating coupler, a high coupling efficiency of -2.37 dB and large 1-dB bandwidth of 53 nm are obtained. © 2023 SPIE.

Photometry is an important optical characteristic of space targets. Due to the huge computational volume of the photometry of the full-angle of a space target, the computation time is long and is difficult to meet the realistic demand. In this study, a Gearman based distributed parallel computation framework is constructed to automatically decompose and distribute the photometry computation tasks, automatically balance the computational load, and compose the computational results. This method divides the target photometry calculation into four independent variables, conducts distributed parallel calculation respectively, and finally integrates the calculation results into single target photometry information. The distributed parallel photometry computation method based on Gearman framework is important for fast computation of full-angle photometry data of space targets and assisting space target situational awareness tasks.

Accurate rehabilitation assessments are essential for designing effective rehabilitation methods and helping patients recover better. It's well known that commonly used scale assessment methods for neurorehabilitation suffer from the issue of subjectivity, thus investigation of objective assessment methods is very necessary. Muscle synergy analysis can be uesd to assess limb motor functions from the perspective of neuromuscular control. In this paper, a method for evaluation of human lower limb motor functions based on muscle synergy analysis is presented. Muscle synergy modules are designed using surface electromyography (sEMG) signals of the subjects' lower limbs by non-negative matrix factorizations (NMF). By comparing the cosine similarities of these synergy modules, it can be seen that muscle synergies of healthy subjects and patients are significantly different, while they are similar among healthy subjects. Therefore, a reference synergy module (RSM) is designed by averaging the muscle synergy modules for healthy subjects, and the similarities can be calculated by comparing the synergy modules for healthy subjects or patients with the RSM. In the experiment carried out in this study, average similarities of the three synergy modules for healthy subjects are respectively 0.97166, 0.87368 and 0.84932, and on the other hand, the average similarities for the three synergy modules for patients are respectively 0.59979, 0.56426 and 0.69042. Therefore, the similarities for healthy subjects are much higher than those for SCI patients, which denotes that the similarity between an individual synergy module and the RSM can be used as an objective assessing index for evaluating patients' motor function. © 2022 IEEE.

Security is one of the key issues in the development of wireless communication systems, and wireless communication is highly susceptible to security threats, such as eavesdropping and interference due to its openness and broadcast nature. Traditional security is achieved by cryptography above the physical layer, which lacks effective security measures. In this paper, we propose a dynamic cyclic prefix (CP) insertion scheme by using one-dimensional chaotic mapping and multiple-parameter weighted fractional Fourier transform (MPWFRFT) communication method, chaotic mapping is used to control the length of the inserted CP, as CP length changes at each block, and eavesdroppers can not fully get information about the chaotic mapping, physical layer security can be achieved. simulation analysis shows that the proposed method can maintain good BER performance, and the generated signal has a low interception property. © 2021 IEEE.

Developing efficient and stable zeolites for vapor-phase Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime is still a great challenge to realizeε-caprolactam(CPL)green *** this work,the hierarchical porous silicalite-1 zeolites with multiple hollow structure(S-1-M)are explored by in-situ desilication−recrystallization post-treatment of spongy highway-like zeolites(S-1-S),which are synthesized through silanization synthesis of conventional bulky silicalite-1(S-1).Compared to S-1,S-1-M achieves superior catalytic performance,with improving the CPL selectivity from 85.7%to 94.1%and prolonging the catalyst lifetime from 74 to 126 h at a weight hourly space velocity(WHSV)of 6 h^(−1).Comprehensive physiochemical studies demonstrate that the highly dispersed intracrystalline cavities within S-1-M endow greater mass diffusion and better quasi acidity inducing by the enhanced H-bonds among abundant H-bonded silanols,which is cooperatively responsible for its superior catalytic performance.

A single-modal infrared or visible image offers limited representation in scenes with lighting degradation or extreme weather. We propose a multi-modal fusion framework, named SDSFusion, for all-day and all-weather infrared and visible image fusion. SDSFusion exploits the commonality in image processing to achieve enhancement, fusion, and semantic task interaction in a unified framework guided by semantic awareness and multi-scale features and losses. To address the disparity between infrared and visible images in degraded scenes, we differentiate modal features in a unified fusion model. Unlike existing joint fusion methods, we propose an adversarial generative network that refines the reconstruction of low-light images by embedding fused features. It provides feature-level brightness supplementation and image reconstruction to refine brightness and contrast. Extensive experiments in degraded scenes confirm that our approach is superior to state-of-the-art approaches in visual quality and performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of interaction improvement. © 1992-2012 IEEE.

For the multi-satellite mission planning problem, a multi-satellite mission planning model is constructed by considering the constraints of satellite’s visibility window to the target, attitude transition, storage and energy consumption, and an improved genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the model. The algorithm adopts the real number coding method to improve the solution efficiency, introduces the adaptive mechanism and the elite retention strategy, which improves the problems that the genetic algorithm is easy to fall into local optimum and converge early. The effectiveness of the improved genetic algorithm for solving multi-star mission planning is verified through simulation case analysis, and it is compared and analyzed with the standard genetic algorithm. The results show that the well genetic algorithm can achieve faster convergence and better planning results, and has better adaptability to large-scale mission planning problems.

Odd-even effect of the mosaic modulation period of quasiperiodic hopping on the Anderson localization in a one-dimensional lattice model

In this study, we investigate Anderson localization in a one-dimensional lattice with mosaic off-diagonal quasiperiodic hopping. Our findings reveal that the localization behavior of zero-energy states is highly dependent on the parity of the mosaic modulation period, denoted as κ. Specifically, when κ is an odd integer, there is no Anderson localization transition even for large quasiperiodic hopping strengths, and the zero-energy state remains in a critical state. On the other hand, for an even κ and generic quasiperiodic hopping, the zero-energy state becomes a localized edge state at either the left or right end of the system. Additionally, we observe that the geometric mean value of the energy spectrum is equal to the constant hopping for an even κ, while for an odd κ, it is equal to the geometric mean value of the hopping. This odd-even effect of the mosaic period also extends to other eigenstates near zero energy. More specifically, for an odd κ, an energy window in which the eigenstates remain critical even for strong quasiperiodic hopping exists. In contrast, for an even κ, an Anderson localization transition occurs as the hopping strength increases. Furthermore, we are able to accurately determine the Lyapunov exponent γ(E) and the mobility edges Ec. By analyzing the Lyapunov exponent, we identify critical regions in the hopping-energy parameter planes. Additionally, as the energy approaches the mobility edges, we observe a critical index of the localization length of ν=1. Finally, we demonstrate that different systems can be characterized by their Lyapunov exponent γ(E) and Avila's acceleration ω(E).

We study the influence of many-body interactions on the transport properties in a two-site charge Kondo circuit recently implemented in a hybrid metal-semiconductor double-quantum dot device [W. Pouse et al., Nat. Phys. 19, 492 (2023)]. There emerge two principal types of interactions: (i) an intrinsic one, described by the Luttinger liquid model, and (ii) an induced one, which appears due to the coupling of the system to an Ohmic environment. Case (i) could be achieved if the charge Kondo circuit operates in the fractional quantum Hall regime, while case (ii) can be implemented via a finite number of open ballistic channels coupled to both the quantum dots. We demonstrate that the conductance scaling for the case of strong and weak interdot coupling is fully determined by the effective interaction parameter, which is the combination of the fractional filling factor ν=1/m and the number of transmitting channels. Furthermore, we predict that the fractional filling factor ν defines a universal Kondo scaling in the vicinity of a special triple-quantum critical point featured by the emergence of a Z3 parafermion.
