This paper discusses the design problem of recursive filtering method for time-varying nonlinear delayed systems (NDSs) with stochastic parameter matrices (SPMs) and censored measurements. In particular, the Tobit Type I model provides a description of the censored measurements. The main objective of this paper is to construct a recursive filter for NDSs with both SPMs and censored measurements. The upper bound of the filtering error covariance is first calculated via mathematical induction, and the upper bound is then minimized by choosing proper filter gain. Besides, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee that the filtering error is uniformly bounded in the mean-square sense. Finally, the viability and applicability of the proposed filtering method are demonstrated using a numerical simulation.

The development of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and metaverse technologies hold great potential to enhance the effectiveness of smart cities and societies. we present a cyberphysical-social approach to integrating AGI into metaverse-based smart cities and societies, with a specific focus on parallel intelligence. The proposed approach considers the interplay between the physical environment, digital systems, social dynamics, and emerging forms of parallel intelligence, as well as swarm intelligence and collective intelligence. By leveraging these forms of parallel intelligence, the integration of AGI can create more responsive and proactive infrastructure, personalized and efficient services, and foster greater community engagement. The metaverse acts as a platform for simulating real-world scenarios and testing and refining AGI models before deployment in the physical world, while also facilitating the development and coordination of parallel intelligence. However, ethical considerations must be taken into account to ensure responsible deployment and avoid exacerbating existing societal inequalities or infringing upon individual privacy rights. This report provides a comprehensive framework for the integration of AGI and parallel intelligence into metaverse-based digital and smart organizations, while emphasizing the importance of human ethics, social responsibility, and ecological sustainability.

In this paper, the distributed state estimation method with resilient attenuation feature is proposed for time-varying fractional-order complex networks under encoding-decoding mechanism. The encoding-decoding-induced dynamic errors for distinct nodes are characterized by the truncated Gaussian distributions. In order to compensate the effects induced by encoding-decoding scheme, the variances of encoding-decoding-induced dynamic errors are considered in process of designing the resilient distributed estimation algorithm. In particular, the upper bounds of updated estimation error covariances are derived firstly. Subsequently, the upper bounds are minimized by constructing the gain matrices at each sampling instant. Besides, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee the boundedness of estimation error dynamics in the mean-square sense. Finally, the validity of distributed resilient state estimation scheme is demonstrated by a simulation example.

This work is devoted to the development and modeling of an air communication system using small aircraft in the northern part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The study includes an analysis of the geographical, climatic and economic characteristics of the region, as well as factors affecting the operation of small aircraft, such as passenger traffic, seasonal fluctuations and accessibility of waterways. The air service model was built on the basis of dynamic variables such as population size, number of jobs, income of the population and seasonality. The results of the study showed that route optimization and aircraft selection based on dynamic data made it possible to significantly reduce operating costs and improve the efficiency of airlines. The study demonstrates the potential of small aircraft to improve transport accessibility in remote regions of Russia and can become the basis for the development of regional and federal programs for the development of transport infrastructure. The results also highlight the importance of investments in aviation infrastructure and the need to develop strategies to increase the competitiveness of small aircraft in a harsh climate and geographical remoteness. © 2024 IEEE.

We study the disorder-induced crossover between the two recently discovered thermalization slowing-down universality classes, characterized by long- and short-range coupling, in classical unitary-circuit maps close to integrability. We compute Lyapunov spectra, which display qualitatively distinct features depending on whether the proximity to the integrable limit is short or long range. For sufficiently small nonlinearity, translationally invariant systems fall into the long-range class. Adding disorder to such a system triggers a transition to the short-range class, implying a breaking of this invariance, and in the very limit of vanishing nonlinearity Anderson localization emerges. The crossover from the long- to the short-range class is attained by tuning the localization length ξ from ξ≈N to ξ≪N, where N is the system size. As a consequence, the Lyapunov spectrum becomes exponentially suppressed, depending on the extent to which its translational invariance is destroyed. We expect that this disorder-induced crossover will lead to prethermalized phases and, following quantization, to many-body localization.

Modeling and control of a sperm-inspired robot with helical propulsion

Efficient propulsion has been a central focus of research in the field of biomimetic underwater vehicles. Compared to the prevalent fish-like reciprocating flapping propulsion mode, the sperm-like helical propulsion mode features higher efficiency and superior performance in high-viscosity environments. Based on the previously developed sperm-inspired robot, this paper focuses on its dynamic modeling and depth control research. The helical propulsion performance of the sperm-inspired robot is analyzed by resistance-theory-based force analysis, followed by the application of Kirchhoff rod theory to determine the helical waveform parameters. The dynamic model of the sperm-inspired robot is established using the Kirchhoff equation, and its validity is verified through experiments. To enhance the practical application capability of the sperm-inspired robot, this study develops an active disturbance rejection control depth controller for roll-spin coupling motion based on the constructed dynamics model. The effectiveness of the controller is thoroughly validated through a combination of simulation and experiment. Experimental results demonstrate the excellent depth control ability of the robot, with an average depth error controlled within 0.19 cm. This superior performance lays a foundation for the future application of our robot in underwater operations. © 2025 IOP Publishing Ltd. It is significant to monitor the thickness change of commercial Li-ion pouch cells that are assembled from Si-based electrodes and layered cathodes since the volume variation is critically linked with kinetic reaction mechanism and chemomechanical degradation. In this work, the single-point and full-field measurements are conducted on the thickness evolution of Si Ox/Cgraphite/lithium nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide(Si Ox-G/NCA) batteries. It is found that an abnormal overshoot that has been rarely observed in the previous studies appears at the beginning of discharge, which is believed to be the combined results between the rapid expansion of NCA and the contraction of graphite related to the state of charge(SOC). Compared with the results of single-point measurement, the spatial displacement distribution obtained from three-dimensional(3D) scanning suggests the full-field thickness evolution of the entire cell scale, which is more feasible and efficient to provide full-field information for supporting pouch cell design and pack integration.

NiTiO3-BiOBr heterostructured photocatalysts were constructed via precipitation, calcination and hydrothermal treatments. Various characterizations demonstrated that BiOBr nanosheets covered on or inserted in NiTiO3 rods forming rod-like hierarchical NiTiO3-BiOBr heterojunctions. Compared with the independent NiTiO3 and BiOBr, the NiTiO3-BiOBr composites with optimal BiOBr content presented highly improved photocatalytic efficiency under visible light irradiation. The degradation rate of Rhodamine B (RhB) reached 96.6% within 1.5 h (100% in 2 h), 6.61 fold that of NiTiO3, and the degradation rate of tetracycline (TC) was 73.5% within 3 h, 1.53 times that of NiTiO3. The enhanced photocatalytic performance is attributed to the forming heterojunctions and their hierarchical structure which greatly promoted the separation of photogenerated carriers and strengthened the visible light absorption. Based on the free radical capture experiments and band position analysis, the photocatalytic mechanism of n-n heterojunction for RhB and TC degradation was deduced. The n-n junction abruptly promotes the formation of h+ and ·O2-. This work would provide a new strategy for fabricating highly efficient photocatalysts in degrading certain organic objects. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In urban environments, complex transportation demands, including land, air, and maritime transport, are increasingly growing. While significant advancements have been made in land transportation and autonomous driving, research on urban air mobility (UAM) systems is still in its early stages. This paper presents an innovative urban air unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) framework: AirVista, which is designed and built based on the Artificial systems, Computational experiments, and Parallel execution (ACP) approach, integrated with a multimodal large language model (MLLM) agent. Considering that UAM tasks often require UAVs to possess fine-grained spatial perception and reasoning capabilities, and given that existing MLLMs are somewhat lacking in exploring 3D spaces, this paper further proposes an instruction fine-tuning strategy integrated with 3D spatial knowledge, which has been validated experimentally for its effectiveness. Additionally, to enhance the understanding of the efficiency of MLLM for UAV tasks, this paper delves into prompt fine-tuning templates tailored for UAV task decomposition. Through experimental demonstrations, we showcase that the prompt-tuned MLLM exhibits efficient task decomposition and execution capabilities in handling complex UAV tasks.

The development of the scientific publishing system has remarkably enhanced global accessibility to research findings and substantially increased the visibility and dissemination of academic publications. However, significant challenges still exist in effectively safeguarding the intellectual property rights of contributors, such as the unauthorized usage of materials, the complexity of enforcing intellectual property rights across various legal jurisdictions, and high instances of plagiarism and content misuse. Additionally, financial barriers related to open access may restrict the participation of economically disadvantaged researchers, potentially biasing scientific records towards more affluent research initiatives. To address these issues, a novel decentralized framework is formulated to ensure truly open access. This framework leverages blockchain for immutable record-keeping and clear attribution of authorship, to prevent unauthorized usage and plagiarism. Besides, it also utilizes a copyright-sharing model based on decentralized autonomous organizations and operations (DAOs), where smart contracts automatically enforce copyright and access policies to ensure fair compensation for authors and researchers. Furthermore, the copyright sharing model based on non-fungible tokens (NFT) and gradual ownership optimization (GOO) mechanism is proposed to ensure fair and accurate recognition and compensation for scholarly contributions.
