Message-passing interface (MPI) programs are non-deterministic and challenging to ensure correctness. The introduction of one-sided communications makes the problem of non-determinism more severe for MPI programs. This paper reports our in-progress work of symbolic execution for the MPI programs with one-sided communications. Our approach can cover the non-determinism caused by the inputs, one-sided communication, and message- passing operations of MPI programs. The preliminary evaluation's results indicate the promising of our approach.

Multilingual Knowledge Graph Completion from Pretrained Language Models with Knowledge Constraints

Multilingual Knowledge Graph Completion (mKGC) aim at solving queries like (h, r, ?) in different languages by reasoning a tail entity t thus improving multilingual knowledge graphs. Previous studies leverage multilingual pretrained language models (PLMs) and the generative paradigm to achieve mKGC. Although multilingual pretrained language models contain extensive knowledge of different languages, its pretraining tasks cannot be directly aligned with the mKGC tasks. Moreover, the majority of KGs and PLMs currently available exhibit a pronounced English-centric bias. This makes it difficult for mKGC to achieve good results, particularly in the context of low-resource languages. To overcome previous problems, this paper introduces global and local knowledge constraints for mKGC. The former is used to constrain the reasoning of answer entities, while the latter is used to enhance the representation of query contexts. The proposed method makes the pretrained model better adapt to the mKGC task. Experimental results on public datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms the previous SOTA on Hits@1 and Hits@10 by an average of 12.32% and 16.03%, which indicates that our proposed method has significant enhancement on mKGC. © 2024, CC BY.

Constraint solving stands out as a significant bot-tleneck in symbolic execution. Caching is a commonly adopted approach to alleviate this bottleneck. However, the cutting-edge caching technique targeting unsatisfiable constraints, known as unsatisfiable core caching, primarily involves checking whether the constraint being solved contains an unsatisfiable core that has been previously collected. Such straightforward reuse frequently proves less effective in numerous scenarios. In this paper, we present a novel method to enhance the utilization of unsatisfiable cores. By excavating unsatisfiable cores, our method can compute an easily solvable over-approximation that tends to be unsatis-fiable for each constraint, which facilitates the determination of the satisfiability of the original constraint. We implemented our method on KLEE symbolic executor. The evaluation results on 27 real-world programs are encouraging.

Starting with the relatively simple observation that the variational estimates of the commutators of the standard Calderón-Zygmund operators with the bounded mean oscillation(BMO)functions can be obtained from their weighted variational estimates,we establish the similar variational estimates for the commutators of the BMO functions with rough singular integrals,which do not admit any weighted variational *** proof involves several Littlewood-Paley-type inequalities with the commutators as well as Bony decomposition and related para-product estimates.

In this paper, we investigate the total system energy efficiency (EE) of full-duplex (FD) device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaying distributed antenna systems (DAS), where remote access units (RAUs), D2D users (DUs), and cellular users (CUs) are all capable of FD operation. Specifically, we jointly optimize subcarrier assignment and power allocation under the quality of service (QoS) requirements of CUs and DUs and the maximum power constraints of RAUs, CUs, and DUs. In addition, we propose a novel spectrum sharing strategy that allows each subcarrier to be assigned to multiple CUs and/or multiple D2D pairs (DPs) for flexibility. To solve the formulated non-convex optimization problem, we first employ fractional programming to transform the objective function in the optimization problem from the fractional form into the equivalent subtractive form. Then, an efficient iterative resource allocation algorithm is proposed, which needs to solve an inner problem in each iteration. After relaxing the variables and introducing penalty factors, the non-convex inner problem is transformed into a convex problem through the successive convex approximation (SCA) method and solved by iterative algorithm. simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can considerably improve the system EE compared to other benchmark schemes. Furthermore, the proposed spectrum sharing strategy is superior to the existing sharing strategies. © 2017 IEEE.

Dynamical relaxation behavior of extended XY chain with gapless phase following a quantum quench

We investigate the dynamical relaxation behavior of the two-point correlation in extended XY models with a gapless phase after quenches from various initial states. Specifically, we study the XY chain with gapless phase induced by the additional interactions: Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and XZY-YZX type of three-site interaction. When quenching from the gapped phase, we observe that the additional interactions have no effect on the relaxation behavior. The relaxation behavior is δCmn(t) ∼ t−3/2 and ∼ t−1/2 for the quench to the commensurate phase and the incommensurate phase, respectively. However, when quenching from the gapless phase, we demonstrate that the scaling behavior of δCmn(t) is changed to ∼ t−1 for the quench to the commensurate phase, and the decay of δCmn(t) follows ∼ t−1 or ∼ t−1/2 for the quench to the incommensurate phase depending on the parameters of pre-quench Hamiltonian. We also establish the dynamical phase diagrams based on the dynamical relaxation behavior of δCmn(t) in the extended XY models. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper investigates the fault detection and isolation problem of a class of leader-follower multi-agent systems subject to unknown-but-bounded disturbances under an event-triggered communication mechanism (ETCM). Firstly, an adaptive ETCM is proposed to avoid the continuous acquisition of outputs from neighboring agents, thereby reducing the communication burden. Secondly, a joint state and fault observer is designed, and H∞ analysis is utilized to improve the robustness of the observer against external disturbances and event-triggered errors. Next, zonotopic reachability analysis is utilized to derive the estimated intervals of the system state and fault signal, based on which a fault detection and isolation method is developed to determine both when the system is faulty and which agent is at fault. Finally, a fighter formation model is employed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2014 IEEE.

This paper presents Management-Oriented Operating systems (M2OS) that leverages the power of parallel intelligence theory, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and foundation models to revolutionize the manner of management in Cyber-Physical-Social systems (CPSS). The parallel architecture on M2OS is proposed, including the parallel interactive actual M2OS and artificial M2OS. Among them, the artificial M2OSs provide digital infrastructures for organizations to operate, collaborate, and make decisions in the virtual space, and conduct computational experiments to evaluate management decisions and predict future states of the actual M2OS. Through parallel execution and closed-loop feedback between the artificial and actual M2OSs, the management and control, experimentation and evaluation, as well as learning and training of the actual M2OS can be realized. Moreover, the functional layers of M2OS, including the infrastructure layer, data layer, scenario layer, modeling layer, decision layer, and application layer, are discussed. These layers work together to support the intelligent, autonomous, collaborative, and adaptive nature of the M2OS, and facilitate data-driven decision-making, optimize business operations, and empower managers with real-time actionable insights. The proposed M2OS paradigm has great potential to transform the management paradigm and opens up new possibilities for intelligent and collaborative decision-making.

Engineering of reactive oxygen species (ROS), like superoxide anion (·O2-), especially singlet oxygen (1O2), by constructing oxygen vacancies (OVs) can tune surface/bulk electronic structure and improve surface active sites of catalytic oxidation with desired selectivity and reactivity. The low selectivity and conversion rate of dihydroxyacetone (DHA) by glycerol oxidation over catalysts due to their poor ROS regulation, which still seriously limits the practical application. Herein, we report the preparation of DHA by photothermal catalysis (PTC) of glycerol over Cu/Ce-BiVO4 ternary system with unique Ce nanoisland structure on the surface of BiVO4 substrate for effectively anchoring Cu. The forming Ce-O-Cu asymmetric oxygen vacancies can both promote the electron transfer to form superoxide anion (·O2-) and also improve the efficiency of energy transfer to generate 1O2. ·O2- can enhance the conversion of glycerol oxidation, while 1O2 can boost the selectivity to directionally form DHA. The synergistic effect of 1O2 and ·O2- is the key to improve catalytic efficiency. First-principles calculations indicate that the most reasonable reaction pathway for 1O2 production is O2→Cu/Ce-BVO→1O2. This study gives the atomic-scale understanding the mechanism of 1O2 construction, and the desired selective catalytic property via semiconductor catalysts. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) have been gaining popularity in recent years due to their promise of realizing the decentralized Web 3.0. However, most DAOs rely heavily on token-centric value systems as well as allocate decision-making authority and yield-sharing rights according to the held tokens, which often lead to monopolization of power and rights. To address this issue, this paper contributes to propose a truly democratic organization model, named True Autonomous Organizations and Operations (TAOs), that does not count upon tokens and is guided by principles of contribution-based and on-demand allocation. We first discuss the design of TAOs, including their infrastructures, power structures, and value systems, and then provide a technical roadmap for implementing TAOs in the DeSci context. This research can provide a valuable guidance for the construction and application of TAOs.
