Accurately extracting the semantic information and the syntactic structure of sentences is important in natural language processing. Existing methods mainly combine the dependency tree to deep learning with complex computation time to achieve enough semantic information. It is essential to obtain sufficient semantic information and syntactic structures without any prior knowledge excepting word2vec. This paper proposes a model on sentence representation inspired by quantum entanglement using the tensor product to entangle both two consecutive notional words and words with depen-dencies. Inspired by quantum entanglement coefficients, we construct two different entanglement coefficients to weight the different semantic contributions of words with different relations. Finally, the proposed model is applied to SICK_train to verify their performances. The experimental results show that the provided methods achieve perfect results. © 2021 IEEE.

A Multi-population Integrated Approach for Capacitated Location Routing

The capacitated location-routing problem involves determining the depots from a set of candidate capacitated depot locations and finding the required routes from the selected depots to serve a set of customers whereas minimizing a cost function that includes the cost of opening the chosen depots, the fixed utilization cost per vehicle used, and the total cost (distance) of the routes. This paper presents a multi-population integrated framework in which a multi-depot edge assembly crossover generates promising offspring solutions from the perspective of both depot location and route edge assembly. The method includes an effective neighborhood-based local search, a feasibility-restoring procedure and a diversification-oriented mutation. Of particular interest is the multi-population scheme which organizes the population into multiple subpopulations based on depot configurations. Extensive experiments on 281 benchmark instances from the literature show that the algorithm performs remarkably well, by improving 101 best-known results (new upper bounds) and matching 84 best-known results. To improve the disturbance rejection ability and repetitive tracking accuracy of manipulators, a composite iterative learning control (ILC) scheme via generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) is proposed. A high-order polynomial is first employed to model the time-varying disturbances that include unmodeled dynamics, parameter uncertainties and load fluctuations. A GPIO is then designed to estimate the disturbances and high-order time derivatives. By introducing estimations into a PD-type ILC at each iteration, a composite control scheme is obtained, such that the undesirable influence of time-varying disturbances can be effectively attenuated in the repetitive tracking process of manipulators. In this paper, the rigorous stability analysis of the closed-loop system is presented to guarantee that the tracking error exponentially converges to zero as the iteration number tends to infinity. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is finally verified by simulation results.

In view of the harsh conditions of cyclic esterification reaction of ethylene glycol (EG) and carbon dioxide (CO2) to synthesize ethylene carbonate (EC), the yield is low and the catalysts are mostly metals, a series of green acid-base bicentric ionic liquids (ABbILs) were developed. Among them, the ABbILs of 1,5,7-Triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene glutarimide ([TBDH][Glu]) had the best catalytic performance. Under the optimal reaction conditions, the yield of EC reached 29.5%, which was higher than most of the conventional metal-based catalysts. By studying the ΔpKa value and thermogravimetry of ILs, it is found that the greater the ΔpKa of ILs, the stronger the stability of ILs. [TBDH] [Glu] has the highest thermal stability. Through activity screening results and DFT calculation, it was found that different cations affect the interaction between N on anion and H proton of EG, and the H on the cation can activate the O on EG, which would affect the ability of ABbILs to activate EG. The acid-base bicentered synergistic catalytic mechanism of Bronsted acid and Lewis base was proposed by characterization and DFT calculation. This study opens up new avenues for the efficient conversion of diols and CO2 for the preparation of cyclic carbonates. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Performance Analysis of Distributed Filtering under Misspecified Noise Covariances

This paper systematically investigates the performance of the consensus-based distributed filter under misspecified noise covariances. First, we introduce four quantities: the nominal filter parameter, the nominal estimation error covariance, the ideal filter parameter, and the ideal estimation error covariance. We derive the difference expressions among these quantities and establish the corresponding one-step relations. These relations reveal how performance deteriorates when noise covariances are misspecified, and demonstrate how to evaluate the estimation error covariance using the available nominal filter parameter. We particularly highlight the effect of the information fusion step number on these relations. Furthermore, recursive relations are introduced by extending the results of the one-step relations. Subsequently, we demonstrate the convergence of these quantities under the collective observability condition, and show that the convergence condition of the nominal filter parameter can guarantee the convergence of the estimation error covariance. Additionally, we provide bounds on the estimation error covariance under misspecified noise covariances by utilizing the Frobenius norms of the noise covariance deviations and the trace of the nominal filter parameter. Finally, the effectiveness of the theoretical results is verified through numerical simulations. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

As a new stage in the development of the cloud computing paradigm, serverless computing has the high-level abstraction characteristic of shielding underlying details. This makes it extremely challenging for users to choose a suitable serverless platform. To address this, targeting the jointcloud computing scenario of heterogeneous serverless platforms across multiple clouds, this paper presents a jointcloud collaborative mechanism called FCloudless with cross-cloud detection of the full lifecycle performance of serverless platforms. Based on the benchmark metrics set that probe performance critical stages of the full lifecycle, this paper proposes a performance optimization algorithm based on detected performance data that takes into account all key stages that affect the performance during the lifecycle of a function and predicts the overall performance by combining the scores of local stages and dynamic weights. We evaluate FCloudless on AWS, AliYun, and Azure. The experimental results show that FCloudless can detect the underlying performance of serverless platforms hidden in the black box and its optimization algorithm can select the optimal scheduling strategy for various applications in a jointcloud environment. FCloudless reduces the runtime by 23.3% and 24.7% for cold and warm invocations respectively under cost constraints.

Despite great achievement has been made in autonomous driving technologies, autonomous vehicles (AVs) still exhibit limitations in intelligence and lack social coordination, which is primarily attributed to their reliance on single-agent technologies, neglecting inter-AV interactions. Current research on multi-agent autonomous driving (MAAD) predominantly focuses on either distributed individual learning or centralized cooperative learning, ignoring the mixed-motive nature of MAAD systems, where each agent is not only self-interested in reaching its own destination but also needs to coordinate with other traffic participants to enhance efficiency and safety. Inspired by the mixed motivation of human driving behavior and their learning process, we propose a novel mixed motivation driven social multi-agent reinforcement learning method for autonomous driving. In our method, a multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) algorithm, called Social Learning Policy Optimization (SoLPO), which takes advantage of both the individual and social learning paradigms, is proposed to empower agents to rapidly acquire self-interested policies and effectively learn socially coordinated behavior. Based on the proposed SoLPO, we further develop a mixed-motive MARL method for autonomous driving combined with a social reward integration module that can model the mixed-motive nature of MAAD systems by integrating individual and neighbor rewards into a social learning objective for improved learning speed and effectiveness. Experiments conducted on the MetaDrive simulator show that our proposed method outperforms existing state-of-the-art MARL approaches in metrics including the success rate, safety, and efficiency. More-over, the AVs trained by our method form coordinated social norms and exhibit human-like driving behavior, demonstrating a high degree of social coordination.

Relaxation dynamics in the alternating XY chain following a quantum quench

We investigate the relaxation dynamics of the fermion two-point correlation function Cmn(t) = 〈ψ(t)|c†mcn|ψ(t)〉 in the XY chain with alternating nearest-neighbor hopping interaction after a quench. We find that the deviation δCmn(t) = Cmn(t) − Cmn(∞) decays with time following the power law behavior t−µ, where the exponent µ depends on whether the quench is to the commensurate phase (µ = 1) or incommensurate phase (µ = 1/2). This decay of δCmn(t) arises from the transient behavior of the double-excited quasiparticle occupations and the transitions between different excitation spectra. Furthermore, we find that the steady value Cmn(∞) only involves the average fermion occupation numbers (i.e. the average excited single particle) over the time-evolved state, which are different from the ground state expectation values. We also observe nonanalytic singularities in the steady value Cmn(∞) for the quench to the critical points of the quantum phase transitions (QPTs), suggesting its potential use as a signature of QPTs. On the Effects and Optimal Design of Redundant Sensors in Collaborative State Estimation

The existence of redundant sensors in collaborative state estimation is a common occurrence, yet their true significance remains elusive. This paper comprehensively investigates the effects and optimal design of redundant sensors in sensor networks that use Kalman filtering to estimate the state of a random process collaboratively. The paper presents two main results: a theoretical analysis of the effects of redundant sensors and an engineering-oriented optimal design of redundant sensors. In the theoretical analysis, the paper leverages Riccati equations and Symplectic matrix theory to unveil the explicit role of redundant sensors in cooperative state estimation. The results unequivocally demonstrate that the addition of redundant sensors enhances the estimation performance of the sensor network, aligning with the principle of "more is better". Moreover, the paper establishes a precise sufficient and necessary condition to assess whether the inclusion of redundant sensors improves the overall estimation performance. Moving towards engineering-oriented design optimization, the paper proposes a novel algorithm to tackle the optimal design problem of redundant sensors, and the convergence of the proposed algorithm is guaranteed.
