This paper proposes a method for classification of incomplete data using neural network ensembles. In the method, the incomplete data set is analyzed and projected into a group of complete data subsets that give a full description of the known values in the data set by joining together. Those complete data subsets are then used as the training sets for the neural networks. Base classifiers are selected and integrated according to their classification accuracies and the support degrees of their training data sets to give the final predication. Compared with other methods dealing with missing data in classification, the proposed method can utilize all the information provided by the incomplete data, maintain maximum consistency of the incomplete data set and avoid the dependency on distribution or model assumptions. Experiments on two UCI datasets showed the superiority of the algorithm to other two typical treatments of missing data in ensemble learning.

The importance of incremental learning in changing environments has been acknowledged in recent years. In this paper we present an ensemble learning method for supervised learning with drifting concepts. The method employs hypothesis test as mechanism for detecting concept drift and learns a base classifier for each new training data chunk. Former classifiers deemed as usable by the hypothesis test mechanism and the new classifiers are integrated to form the final classifiers ensemble for prediction. The main focus of the work is to identify the usability of base classifiers that representing the same or similar concept with the current one, make full use of the older valid information together with the newer examples to improve classification accuracy, and avoid the interference of classifiers representing conflictive concepts with the current one. Experiments with simulated concept drift scenarios compared the proposed method with other approaches. The results showed that the method could consistently recognize different types of drift, adapt quickly to these changes to maintain its performance level, and utilize the former knowledge to improve its performance for recurring context.

Two-dimensional fuzzy temperature controller was used in the system of inverter air-conditioner to control the room temperature. Self-adjustment PID fuzzy controller was proposed to realize real-time control function. V/F control mode was used to compensate with low voltage, the average sampling algorithm was proposed to implement SPWM waveform modulation. Finally, the feasibility of self-adjustment PID fuzzy controller was verified by simulation, the actual operation results had proved that self-adjustment PID fuzzy controller had reliable, good output waveform and small harmonic wave, which could meet operational requirements of inverter air-conditioner. © 2011 IEEE.

A Tm laser pumped Mid-IR all solid-state laser is reported. A thulium laser is used to directly drive a ZnGeP2 optical parametric oscillator (OPO) with 1.99μm output to generate the 3∼5μm wavelength. Diode pumped Tm:YAP laser operates on 1.99μm, repetition frequency of 10KHz, the optical to optical conversion efficiency is 28%. The all solid-state Mid-IR laser runs at room temperature and achieves over 1W at 3∼5μm with an optical to optical conversion efficiency of 5.4% starting from the pump diode. © 2011 IEEE.

Described a laser range-gating imaging principle, pointed out the key issues in system design, design and implementation of FPGA-based laser range-gating images systems. In this paper, the system of variable frequency speed-regulation based on PLC was proposed. Firstly, the overall structure of control system was determined. Inverter and programmable logic controller were chosen to complete variable frequency speed-regulation. Secondly, parameters of inverter were set by develop system hardware. PLC drive selection and I/0 points distribution were completed;rotary encoder was connected with PLC interface. Finally, the software flow charts and ladder programs were designed by analysis of elevator system on the basis of software design methods. © 2011 IEEE.

In this paper, a SystemC-based hardware/software co-design methodology for embedded image processing system is presented. With the development of the IC process, traditional design methodologies cannot meet the requirement of complex digital image processing systems. Hardware/software co-design is the new solution for designing embedded system. SystemC is promoted by the Open SystemC Initiative, which provides a well-defined set of C++ classes to accurately describe hardware;C++ can be chosen to describe both hardware and software throughout the whole design flow to support hardware/software co-design. SystemC can provide co-design platform for an embedded image processing system. © 2011 IEEE.

In this paper, temperature fuzzy controller was designed in the inverter cold and hot air-condition. The control system for inverter air conditioner was divided indoor machine and the outdoor machine. Frequency control was realized by design of hardware circuit and two-dimensional temperature controller was selected in the fuzzy control program. PID fuzzy controller suitable for real-time control was proposed. Finally, the practicability of self-adjust PID fuzzy controller was confirmed by simulation curve. It was shown that self-adjust PID fuzzy controller had a better control performance than conventional fuzzy control methods. © 2011 IEEE.
