The UAVs have become a huge threat in the battlefield. The excellent maneuverability makes them competent for the actual combat operations such as investigation and strike. Therefore, accurate tracking of UAVs is critical. Centralized radar/IR fusion system has been widely concerned to track the UAVs because of the complementary characteristics between these two sensors. The appearance of non-Gaussian measurement noise produces a negative impact on tracking accuracy. This paper proposes a novel IMM-CMCSCKF algorithm which can improve the tracking accuracy of radar/IR fusion system for maneuvering target under non-Gaussian measurement noise. The heterogeneous measurements from radar and IR are firstly fused. Then, CMCSCKF algorithm is presented based on MCC to deal with non-Gaussian measurement noise. To improve maneuvering target tracking accuracy, CMCSCKF is embed into IMM algorithm. Numerical simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed IMM-CMCSCKF. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Structural damage is often accompanied by equipment failures and safety incidents. For example, aircraft accidents often result from wing breaks and landing gear damage. The self-powered wireless sensing technology is ideal tool for monitoring structural health in multi-locations. In this work, we designed an airflow-driven energy harvester (EH) and integrate into wireless impedance sensing system. Also, the Energy Management and control Circuit (EMC) is designed to provide a stable DC voltage for intermittently driven sensing system. The experimental results show that the self-powered impedance sensing system can operate at every 3 min at a wind speed of 8 m/s. The system error is within 5% compared to the Agilent 4294A (Precision Impedance Analyzer) and the characteristics of the material cracks could be successfully detected and analyzed. © 2019 IEEE.

In the context of complex environment, the intelligent target recognition method for infrared/laser composite imaging fuze encounters the following challenges: 1) The dearth of infrared/laser composite imaging fuze data hampers the advancement and implementation of deep learning technology in fuze target recognition;2) The extant infrared/laser composite imaging fuze target recognition methods exhibit suboptimal recognition accuracy in complex terrain and ground conditions, which predisposes them to early or false explotions. To address the aforementioned issues, we have constructed infrared/laser composite imaging target and background dataset in diverse scenes, terrains and features, which provides effective data support for the intelligent recognition of composite imaging fuze. Additionally, we have designed a cross-modal fusion attention mechanism and an invariant feature learning method. The method facilitates the fusion of multimodal complementary information and the intelligent recognition of multi-scale and multi-morphology targets in complex scenes. Furthermore, they enhance the accuracy of the composite imaging fuze, enabling it to adapt to complex terrains. This enhances the combat effectiveness of composite imaging fuze in complex environments, while also offering technical support for the intelligentization of target recognition systems in future ballistic fuze. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. To study the forming characteristics of the multiple explosively formed projectile (MEFP) warhead of the small-caliber grenade with the integrated design of the liner and shell, the liner thickness is less than the shell thickness as the research object, and LS-DYNA is used for numerical simulation. On this basis, the influence of the curvature radius and the center thickness of the liner on the forming results of the projectile is further studied, and the integrated design of the MEFP forming result and the separate design were compared and analyzed. The simulation results show that, when the liner thickness structure is smaller than the shell thickness, the projectile shape is better. The shape of MEFP with the integral design is better than the separate design, and the forming velocity of the integral design is slightly lower than the separate design with the curvature radius increase of the outer and inner wall. When the liner curvature radius is fixed, the shape of MEFP with the integral design is better than the separate design, and the forming velocity of MEFP with the integral design is slightly less than the separate design with the liner center thickness increase. The results show that the forming characteristics of circumferential MEFP of integrated design and separate design have a certain similarity. The shape of MEFP with the integrated design is better than that with separate design, however, the forming velocity of MEFP with the integrated design is slightly lower than that with separate design. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

During the working process of the fuze insurance institution, the metal coil spring as a resistance element may cause failure due to fatigue fracture and stress creep relaxation, thereby affecting the reliability and stability of the fuze safety system. To solve this problem, a kind of variable stiffness spring with negative stiffness characteristic is proposed in this paper, which is composed of two magnets. This spring has the advantages of simple structure and rich stiffness characteristics. It is used in fuze recoil insurance institutions to meet the requirements of fuze security system service handling security and reliable release of insurance at launch, providing new features for improving the performance of fuze insurance institutions Technical approach. © 2020 IEEE.

In this paper, a new type of dual-channel triangular planar capacitive sensor is proposed, which can overcome the problems of small dynamic detection range and low sensitivity in nondestructive testing (NDT) applications. By establishing a three-dimensional simulation model of the sensor, the influence of structural parameters such as excitation electrode, shielding electrode, protective electrode, and thickness of substrate on its various performance indicators was systematically analyzed using ANSOFT finite element analysis (FEA) software. By studying the corresponding relationships between different performance indicators and structural parameters, a mathematical relationship between penetration depth and electrode structural parameters was established, and the general design principles and methods for dual-channel triangular planar capacitive sensors were determined. Finally, through experimental verification, it was proven that the theoretical analysis results were consistent with the experimental results, providing a theoretical basis for the optimization design and application of the dual-channel triangular planar capacitance sensor. © 2024 SPIE.

For the requirement of high frame in supervision and control for instruments in compartment and record of missiles lunching outside the compartment of a fighter, a high frame CMOS image acquisition system based on the FPGA is designed. High speed CMOS image sensor LUPA-300 is used in this system. Xilinx's FPGA is used as timing and readout of the image sensor and image transmission controlling. FIFO generated by FPGA using Verilog HDL (Hardware Description Language) achieves high-speed image data buffering. Camera Link interface is used to communicate with the image acquisition card of the host computer. The Experiments of the system show the frame can reach 249.6 fps in a format of 640*480 with the clock of 80 MHz.

With the miniaturization of semiconductor devices, heat generation management for Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (MOSFET) is of vital importance. High-frequency switching of MOSFETs is a key component in the operation of transformer circuits. Thus, gaining a deeper understanding of MOSFET heat generation under these high-frequency operating conditions is essential. In this study, we present a transformer circuit based on Pulsed Width Modulation (PWM) regulation and provide a reliable method to measure the temperature variation of MOSFET. We found that higher working frequency usually leads to a higher heat accumulation and thus a higher temperature change. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

In order to keep photodiode signal conditioning circuit could response to the very short pulse when projectiles cross the light mesh, the bandwidth of conditioning circuit should be increased and noise should be avoided. The key influencing factors on the bandwidth limit are analysed, and two optimization methods have been put forward at the same time. In the end, several experimental verification experiments are made to verify the two optimization methods which are put forward previously. The experimental results demonstrate that the former optimization method still could not be applied into the signal conditioning circuit, and the latter could improve the performance.

The magnetoelectric sensor can solve the problem of acceleration sensor signal adhesion when a large aspect ratio warhead penetrates a multi-layer protective structure at high speed to certain extent, but no missile-borne acquisition and storage system suitable for this sensor has been found. Therefore, this paper designed a magnetoelectric sensor missile-borne acquisition and storage system, which used GD32E230K8T6 as the main control chip, used the on-chip SAR-ADC to realize the analog-to-digital conversion, and used a resistor network to realize the in-phase attenuation linear transformation for the signal. The data was stored in a 256Kbit FRAM with a sampling rate of more than 100kHz and a sampling accuracy of 12bit. The test result showed that the prototype accomplished the acquisition task and the storage task, and had power-off protection with 330ms working time after power-off. The prototype can meet the requirements of missile-borne acquisition and storage. © 2024 IEEE.
