An improved Fourier transform profilometry and phase coding for 3D shape measurement

optical non-contact 3D shape measurement has attracted wide attention from the scientific community. Although by increasing the frequency of projected fringes, the measurement accuracy can be improved, difficulties in phase unwrapping are induced. Reducing the number of projected fringes can also increase the measurement speed. However, there are still certain challenges to meeting the requirements of high speed and high precision without creating additional projection fringe patterns. Along these lines, an improved 3D shape measurement method based on Fourier transform profilometry and phase coding was proposed in this work, where only four projection fringe patterns must be projected. A sinusoidal grating and a uniform gray-level pattern were used to obtain the wrapped phase recovered by the background-normalized Fourier transform algorithm. Two captured phase coding patterns combine with the uniform gray-level pattern to obtain fringe orders solved by the 2 + 1 phase-shifting algorithm. After the fringe order is calculated, the absolute phase map is retrieved and the 3D shape can be obtained. The proposed method is suitable for isolated and complex objects. The performance of the proposed method in reconstructing the 3D shapes of objects was experimentally verified.

Time-series data typically contain issues such as missing data and noise, which can impact the model's precision and stability. This paper proposes a Transformer structure-based visual information-guided temporal data modeling algorithm to address the issues as mentioned above. The algorithm effectively captures the time-series structure of the time-series data, thereby enhancing the model's precision and stability. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, a dataset containing visual information aligned with time-series data is compiled, and a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis is performed. Conduct a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results indicate that visual information can assist time-series data in capturing the intricate dynamics of the time-series data, thereby enhancing the performance of the proposed algorithm and facilitating its comprehension. The results indicate that visual information can assist time-series data in capturing the complex dynamics of time-series data, and thus in comprehending and predicting their behavior and trends. The application of this algorithm will advance research in the field of modeling and predicting time series data. The helmet-mounted sight is a sighting device fixed on the pilot's helmet and becomes increasingly important in flight battles. An important premise for the helmet to perform correctly is obtaining the pilot's head orientation. The traditional vision-based method to obtain the pilot's head orientation relies on cooperative targets, which can be constituted by multiple LEDs embedded on the helmet. However, the installation of multiple LEDs will increase the weight of the helmet. In addition, the measurement accuracy will decline due to the complex environment interference, strong illumination, and uncertainty of the LED luminous center. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a tightly coupled visual/IMU system for head pose estimation based on non-cooperative targets. A camera and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) are installed on the helmet to track the head orientation. In the reconstruction phase, a binocular system is used to reconstruct the internal environment of the cockpit and build the feature points database based on structure from motion (SFM) and the scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) feature descriptors. In the measurement phase, the feature points of the captured images are extracted and matched with the database to obtain the 3D world coordinates of feature points. The coordinates are directly fused with the inertial data through the cubature Kalman filter (CKF) to realize fast and accurate attitude measurement. The practical experimental platform is set up to simulate the measurement of the pilot's head attitude. The experimental results effectively verify the feasibility of the proposed measurement system and scheme. © 2022 SPIE.

There is a strong demand for lightweight, miniaturization and non heating in the design of airborne infrared dual band optical system. A transmissive infrared optical system is introduced, which can meet the confocal requirements of medium wave infrared and long wave infrared light, and can realize non heating design in the temperature range of - 55 ℃~+71 ℃. By deeply analyzing the non thermal mathematical and physical core, combining the difference of dispersion coefficient and thermal difference coefficient of different materials, using germanium, zinc sulfide and zinc selenide with appropriate positive and negative optical powers, a common optical path structure of the secondary imaging optical system with a "4+4" configuration is designed, with a focal length of 200mm and a F number of 2;Indium steel and aluminum are used for the base and the mirror tube, and the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between the two materials is used to achieve heat dissipation difference. This design method can realize the design of dual band non thermal optical system at a lower cost. Its transmissivity, distortion, MTF, cold reflection and other indicators meet the design requirements. The optical system achieves the imaging effect of high transmissivity of medium and long wavelength infrared light. © 2023 SPIE.

Electro-optical platform of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been widely used for target localization. Compared with the traditional single-point measurement method using the electro-optical platform, multi-point ranging target localization reduces the adverse effects caused by the measurement errors of the three attitude angles of UAV, the pitch angle and the azimuth angle of the electro-optical platform, but brings the factor of selecting ranging points which will affect target localization accuracy. This paper first gives the principle of multi-point ranging target localization of the electro-optical platform, and then obtains the influencing factors of target localization accuracy. Using Monte Carlo method, the relationship between factors such as latitude and longitude error, height error, ranging error, number of ranging points, horizontal distribution of ranging points is analyzed systematically. This article analyzes the combat process of the handover guidance attack mode, and sorts out all relevant factors that may affect the accuracy of the target information of the fire control solution, the accuracy of the attack target solution, and the final attack effect of the air-to-air missile, and using the established formation coordination air-to-air attack accuracy simulation analysis software, the Monte Carlo method was used to simulate and analyze the influence factors of attack accuracy in the handover-guided combat mode. Aiming at the task of detecting moving targets for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), this paper proposes a dynamic route planning algorithm based on receding horizon control. In order to satisfy the flight dynamics constraints of the planned trajectory, the quadratic Bezier curve is introduced. In view of the weak detection and processing capabilities of UAV, receding horizon control is used for implementation planning to reduce the computational burden of UAV. Considering the characteristics of the moving target, the threat of the mission area, the minimum turn radius of UAV, and the connection of path segments, the optimization model is established with the shortest range as the optimization objective. According to the characteristics of the model, the sequence quadratic program (SQP) method is selected to solve the problem. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, three ways of moving targets are designed. Simulation results show that the route generated by this method can excellently avoid threats and reach the moving target, and the route is smooth enough for the actual flight. © 2022, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
