The paging signal carries important system information of mobile communication, and the base station or Core Network (CN) can transmit some important notification to the User Equipment (UE) through paging. The paging signal triggered by the base station or the CN has no difference at the air interface physical layer. However, there are few reconnaissance studies for paging messages. As a reconnaissance party for non-cooperative reception, this paper proposes to search all possible paging occasions (POs) of the 4th and 5th Generation Mobile Communication technology (4G, 5G), through demodulation, deinterleaving, blindly searching aggregation levels, rate de-matching, decoding and descrambling the time-frequency blocks with Paging Radio Network Temporary Identity (P-RNTI) to obtain the Downlink control information (DCI) of the paging message. Then after demodulation, deinterleaving, descrambling, and decoding the corresponding Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) according to the indication of the DCI, finally the code stream of the paging message is obtained and parsed. According to the above method, the reconnaissance experiments are conducted with the actual signals to obtain the actual paging message code stream, which verifies the correctness of the proposed method. The research not only reveals the air interface transmission characteristics of paging message, but also lays an important foundation for the behavior analysis of UE and base station in 4G/5G system. © 2022 IEEE.

The task of long-term action anticipation demands solutions that can effectively model temporal dynamics over extended periods while deeply understanding the inherent semantics of actions. Traditional approaches, which primarily rely on recurrent units or Transformer layers to capture long-term dependencies, often fall short in addressing these challenges. Large Language Models (LLMs), with their robust sequential modeling capabilities and extensive commonsense knowledge, present new opportunities for long-term action anticipation. In this work, we introduce the ActionLLM framework, a novel approach that treats video sequences as successive tokens, leveraging LLMs to anticipate future actions. Our baseline model simplifies the LLM architecture by setting future tokens, incorporating an action tuning module, and reducing the textual decoder layer to a linear layer, enabling straightforward action prediction without the need for complex instructions or redundant descriptions. To further harness the commonsense reasoning of LLMs, we predict action categories for observed frames and use sequential textual clues to guide semantic understanding. In addition, we introduce a Cross-Modality Interaction Block, designed to explore the specificity within each modality and capture interactions between vision and textual modalities, thereby enhancing multimodal tuning. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed ActionLLM framework, encouraging a promising direction to explore LLMs in the context of action anticipation. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Using millimeter-wave radar to scan and detect stationary and small foreign object debris (FOD) on an airport runway surface is a popular solution in civil aviation safety. In this paper, we proposed a novel FOD detection method based on pattern classification theory using bi-spectral features. Firstly, a non-parameter weighted generalized matched filtering (WGMF) is utilized to accomplish clutter suppression with low false alarm rate. Then low dimensional bi-spectral features are extracted from radar returns which are utilized to form the feature vector. Finally, support vector data description (SVDD) is used to accomplish FOD detection. Real airport data measured by 77GHz radar are used to validate the proposed method. Experimental results using a golf ball with a diameter of 43mm show that the proposed method can effectively detect the target with low false alarm rate. © 2022 IEEE.

This work describes a design of a printed Marchand balun from the perspective of its cavity counterpart. The cavity balun is first planarized and then folded to accommodate into a spiral antenna. The width of the proposed balun is reduced to alleviate the influence to the spiral radiator. A simple planar structure based on a one-layered microstrip substrate is exploited to realize the design of the circuit scheme. It may reduce the degree of difficulty of Marchand balun working in very high frequency domain and enhance the rate of en-products by PCB technology. Finally, experimental results of the designed balun integrated with a spiral antenna working from 0.8 GHz to 5 GHz are provided to demonstrate the appealing performance of the design. © 2022 IEEE.

Research of low-dimensional nanomaterials provides a direction for solving the problems of energy and environmental pollution. In this work, the regulation mechanism of doping carbon group elements X (X = C, Si, Ge, Pb, Sn) on mechanical and electrical properties of 2D monolayer BN are investigated by first-principles calculations. Two doping sites were selected, replace B atoms (B15N16X) or N atoms (B16N15X). Lower relative enthalpies and the elastic constants, which conforming to the mechanical stability standard, fully prove the stability of the doping system. Compared with B15N16X, B16N15X has larger structural distortion, smaller elastic constants and modulus, and is more inclined to ductility. With the increase of atomic radius, the deformation degree increases and the elastic parameters decrease. C-doped by replacing B atoms improves the elastic mechanical properties of monolayer BN. Sn-doped and Pb-doped modulate the monolayer BN into ductility. More importantly, all doped configurations exhibit magnetism. The indirect band gap of the undoped system can also be modulated into a direct band gap, B15N16C, B16N15Si and B16N15Ge all have direct band gaps in the spin-down direction. Asymmetric impurity energy levels DOS further verify the magnetism of the reference system. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

In the field of structured light 3D reconstruction, unfolding the wrapped phase obtained by the phase shift method to get the absolute phase is crucial. The traditional process of unfolding phase row by row and column by column still has some limitations in terms of efficiency and accuracy. In this paper, we propose a method for unreliable phase removal and phase unwrapping based on modulation level. On one hand, it optimizes the existing modulation threshold selection method. On the other hand, it solves for the absolute phase according to the order of modulation values, effectively removing the phases of pixel points that are below the modulation threshold. © 2024 IEEE.

Target detection has been widely used in fields such as intelligent security and autonomous driving. However, existing computationally heavy target detection algorithms based on deep learning can only work on GPU and CPU platforms, restricting the applications on edge devices with limited computational power. To address this issue, this paper proposes layer fusion and 16-bit fixed-point quantization on the YOLOv2-Tiny algorithm to reduce the computational complexity of target detection algorithms. Furthermore, the data transmission efficiency is optimized by using ping-pong butter and multi-channel methods. To reduce FPGA resource consumption, the neural network is split into convolution, accumulation, pooling, and address mapping modules. The proposed system has been successfully implemented on the Xilinx Zynq-XC7Z035 platform, using only 47% of BRAM resources and 18% of DSP resources. © 2022 IEEE.

An efficient method is utilized to obtain the response of the triaxial induction logging instrument in layered anisotropic formations. This method combines the Gauss Legendre quadrature method with the continued fraction summation algorithm to determine the magnetic fields. A series of experiments are conducted to verify the accuracy and stability of this approach. By comparing the convergence of this approach with a conventional approach in the calculation process, the efficiency of the scheme is verified. In addition, the accuracy of this scheme is verified by simulating the responses in the five-layer medium model. The experimental results demonstrate that the approach not only converges faster than the traditional direct summation method, but also accurately obtains the measurements of the logging instrument in anisotropic formations. © 2023 IEEE.

We observed the coexistence of quantum anomalous Hall and valley Hall phases in the same photonic band gap. Under the broken time-reversal and parity symmetries, the phase transition between the two topological phases can be flexibly manipulated. Relying on the bulk-edge correspondence, we built a pho-tonic waveguide with various boundary configurations that functioned with multi-channel selective light transmission. © 2024 IEEE.
