Vibration-Based Fault Diagnosis for Railway Point Machines Using VMD and Multiscale Fluctuation-Based Dispersion Entropy

As one of the most important railway signaling equipment,railway point machines undertake the major task of ensuring train operation *** fault diagnosis for railway point machines becomes a hot *** the advantage of the anti-interference characteristics of vibration signals,this paper proposes an novel intelligent fault diagnosis method for railway point machines based on vibration signals.A feature extraction method combining variational mode decomposition(VMD) and multiscale fluctuation-based dispersion entropy is developed,which is verified a more effective tool for feature ***,a two-stage feature selection method based on Fisher discrimination and ReliefF is proposed,which is validated more powerful than single feature selection ***,support vector machine is utilized for fault *** comparisons show that the proposed method performs *** diagnosis accuracies of normal-reverse and reverse-normal switching processes reach 100% and 96.57% ***,it is a try to use new means for fault diagnosis on railway point machines,which can also provide references for similar fields.

The fundamental trade-off between spatial resolution and imaging distance poses a significant challenge for current imaging techniques,such as those used in modern biomedical diagnosis and remote ***,we introduce a new conceptual method for imaging dynamic amplitude-phase-mixed objects,termed relay-projection microscopic telescopy(rPMT),which fundamentally challenges conventional light collection techniques by employing non-line-ofsight light collection through square-law relay-projection *** successfully resolved tiny features measuring 2.76μm,22.10μm,and 35.08μm for objects positioned at distances of 1019.0 mm,26.4 m,and 96.0 m,respectively,from single-shot spatial power spectrum images captured on the relay screen;these results demonstrate that the resolution capabilities of rPMT significantly surpass the Abbe diffraction limit of the 25 mm-aperture camera lens at the respective distances,achieving resolution improvement factors of 7.9,25.4,and *** rPMT exhibits long-distance,wide-range,high-resolution imaging capabilities that exceed the diffraction limit of the camera lens and the focusing range limit,even when the objects are obscured by a scattering *** rPMT enables telescopic imaging from centimeters to beyond hundreds of meters with micrometer-scale resolution using simple devices,including a laser diode,a portable camera,and a diffusely reflecting *** contemporary high-resolution imaging techniques,our method does not require labeling reagents,wavefront modulation,synthetic receive aperture,or ptychography scanning,which significantly reduce the complexity of the imaging system and enhance the application *** method holds particular promise for in-vivo label-free dynamic biomedical microscopic imaging diagnosis and remote surveillance of small objects.

Water flow and temperature drift are the main sources of underwater turbulence. In laser based underwater frequency transfer, underwater turbulence will introduce timing fluctuations, leading to deterioration of frequency transfer. In order to reveal the relationship between the timing fluctuation of transferred frequency signal and the drift of velocity and temperature, this paper establishes a mathematical model to analyze the timing fluctuation caused by water flow and temperature under different gradients. To validate our model, we transmitted a 100 MHz RF signal on a 3.5-meter underwater transmission link, with different artificial flow velocity and temperature drift set during the transmission process. The measured timing fluctuations are consistent with our analysis. The experimental results show that within 5000s, the root mean square (RMS) timing fluctuations of RF signals with velocity gradient, temperature gradient, and no gradient are approximately 37 ps, 123 ps, and 23 ps, respectively. This indicates that the timing fluctuation caused by temperature gradient is higher than that caused by velocity gradient. © 2023 IEEE.

Realizing single light solitons that are stable in high dimensions is a long-standing goal in research of nonlinear optical ***,we address a scheme to generate stable two-dimensional solitons in a cold Rydberg atomic system with a parity-time(PT) symmetric moiré optical *** uncover the formation,properties,and their dynamics of fundamental and two-pole gap solitons as well as vortical *** PT symmetry,lattice strength,and the degrees of local and nonlocal nonlinearity are tunable and can be used to control *** stability regions of these solitons are evaluated in two numerical ways:linear-stability analysis and time evolutions with *** results provide an insightful understanding of solitons physics in combined versatile platforms of PT-symmetric systems and Rydberg–Rydberg interaction in cold gases.

Classification of imbalanced data is a problem to be solved in practical applications,and sampling algorithm is a more effective *** SMOTE algorithm is a classical oversampling algorithm that provides a strong guideline for dealing with imbalanced datasets,but there are still some limitations,such as blurring the boundary between positive class samples and negative class *** alleviate the limitations,in this study,a new oversampling method called KB-SMOTE(K-means++Borderline-SMOTE) is *** new algorithm first clusters the minority class,next synthesizes new samples between cluster center and borderline points in minority samples,which solves the problem of blurred class boundary of imbalanced datasets,avoids the interference of noisy samples and reduces the impact on the original ***,this paper uses KB-SMOTE as a data preprocessing algorithm,combined with a hypersphere information granular classifier to classify the imbalanced *** the experimental part,the combined classifier of this paper is compared with other classification algorithms on several imbalanced datasets,and the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified.

Aiming at the problem that the traditional time series prediction model could not make full use of the relevant information of time series and the interpretability is poor,a time series prediction model based on fuzzy cognitive graph modeling is proposed in this paper and the boiler furnace temperature prediction is taken as an example for ***,this paper divides the fuzzification of time series data of boiler furnace temperature into multiple subsets,and establishes a fuzzy cognitive map model on each ***,the prediction results of each sub model are fused to obtain the accurate prediction value,prediction interval and semantic interpretation corresponding to the prediction value of furnace temperature.

Exponential Synchronization for Mobile Robotic Formation: A Hybrid Dynamic Event-Triggered Intermittent control Method

To address the formation tracking issue of mobile robotic systems, this paper constructs a novel hybrid dynamic event-triggered intermittent control strategy, which can achieve the exponential synchronization of the systems. Considering the limited control resources, the intermittent control method is introduced into the distributed control strategy to save resources, and the existing intermittent control model is reconstructed to describe the system model better. A hybrid dynamic event-triggered mechanism is developed by combining the dynamic event-triggered method with the time sampling strategy, eliminating the Zeno phenomenon. The control time sequences in the developed intermittent control strategy are automatically selected by the hybrid dynamic event-triggered sequences, rather than artificially designed in advance, which reduces a certain degree of design complexity. The developed control strategy effectively saves control resources while alleviating the burden of network communication. Sufficient conditions for achieving exponential synchronization formation tracking are provided, and the exponential convergence of the formation error is demonstrated through the proposed lemma. Finally, a control task of multi-mobile robots formation is presented to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis. IEEE

GRU combined model based on multi-objective optimization for short-term residential load forecasting

Reliable and accurate short-term forecasting of residential load plays an important role in DSM. However, the high uncertainty inherent in single-user loads makes them difficult to forecast accurately. Various traditional methods have been used to address the problem of residential load forecasting. A single load forecast model in the traditional method does not allow for comprehensive learning of data characteristics for residential loads, and utilizing RNNs faces the problem of long-term memory with vanishing or exploding gradients in backpropagation. Therefore, a gated GRU combined model based on multi-objective optimization is proposed to improve the short-term residential load forecasting accuracy in this paper. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness, GRUCC-MOP is first experimentally tested with the unimproved model to verify the model performance and forecasting effectiveness. Secondly the method is evaluated experimentally with other excellent forecasting methods: models such as DBN, LSTM, GRU, EMD-DBN and EMD-MODBN. By comparing simulation experiments, the proposed GRU combined model can get better results in terms of MAPE on January, April, July, and November load data, so this proposed method has better performance than other research methods in short-term residential load forecasting. © 2024 - IOS Press.
