With the support of Beidou terminal of short message service system, the space science satellite can transmit all-day data that are astronomical alert data such as gravitational waves and Gamma ray bursts and satellite telemetry parameters. Then Beidou message service system has become an important means for finding the space astronomical events quickly, planning the follow-up observation and monitoring the real-time health of satellite and payloads. Then the application fields of the Beidou system has expanded into space science observation and satellite emergency operation. The short message data receiving and processing in ground system has many features of near real-time and continuity which is different from the processing methods of satellite data transmitted by data channel and telemetry channel. And the multi-source satellite data of the telemetry parameters and the astronomical alert information from these three channels need to be integrated. So, the real-time processing system of satellite data based on Beidou short message transmission has great challenges. In this paper, we explored an organization method of Beidou short messages, and proposed a multi-source data fusion algorithm for the ground satellite data processing system. The data processing system with this method was designed and implemented. Applying to the ground system of the satellite named gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor, the performance analysis of improved system shows that the processing delay for important telemetry parameters and astronomical alert information is greatly shortened from average nine hours to several minutes. We demonstrate that chiral response can be achieved in resonant metasurfaces with a monoclinic lattice symmetry (the so-called Bravais oblique lattices) where the mirror symmetry is broken by the lattice asymmetry and also by a substrate, whereas each individual meta-atom remains fully achiral. We describe the underlying physics by introducing a mode chirality parameter as a quantitative measure of the lattice chiral eigenmodes. Serious climate changes and energy-related environmental problems are currently critical issues in the world. In order to reduce carbon emissions and save our environment, renewable energy harvesting technologies will serve as a key solution in the near future. Among them, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs), which is one of the most promising mechanical energy harvesters by means of contact electrification phenomenon, are explosively developing due to abundant wasting mechanical energy sources and a number of superior advantages in a wide availability and selection of materials, relatively simple device configurations, and low-cost processing. Significant experimental and theoretical efforts have been achieved toward understanding fundamental behaviors and a wide range of demonstrations since its report in 2012. As a result, considerable technological advancement has been exhibited and it advances the timeline of achievement in the proposed roadmap. Now, the technology has reached the stage of prototype development with verification of performance beyond the lab scale environment toward its commercialization. In this review, distinguished authors in the world worked together to summarize the state of the art in theory, materials, devices, systems, circuits, and applications in TENG fields. The great research achievements of researchers in this field around the world over the past decade are expected to play a major role in coming to fruition of unexpectedly accelerated technological advances over the next decade. © 2023 The Authors. Outlier detection refers to the identification of anomalous samples that deviate significantly from the distribution of normal data and has been extensively studied and used in a variety of practical tasks. However, most unsupervised outlier detection methods are carefully designed to detect specified outliers, while real-world data may be entangled with different types of outliers. In this study, we propose a fuzzy rough sets-based multi-scale outlier detection method to identify various types of outliers. Specifically, a novel fuzzy rough sets-based method that integrates relative fuzzy granule density is first introduced to improve the capability of detecting local outliers. Then, a multi-scale view generation method based on granular-ball computing is proposed to collaboratively identify group outliers at different levels of granularity. Moreover, reliable outliers and inliers determined by the three-way decision are used to train a weighted support vector machine to further improve the performance of outlier detection. The proposed method innovatively transforms unsupervised outlier detection into a semi-supervised classification problem and for the first time explores the fuzzy rough sets-based outlier detection from the perspective of multi-scale granular balls, allowing for high adaptability to different types of outliers. Extensive experiments carried out on both artificial and UCI datasets demonstrate that the proposed outlier detection method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, improving the results by at least 8.48% in terms of the Area Under the ROC Curve (AUROC) index. Penetrating neural interface, which collects the neural electrophysiological signal and serves as a key component in brain-computer interface, has drawn great attention recently. The instability of chronic recording is the main challenge for the conventional neural interface. Novel neural probes with improved long-term performance have been developed based on advanced materials and engineered structures. Here, we review these emergent innovations contributing to chronic stable recording from the perspectives of materials,structures, and implantation methods. These advances make possible further developments in neuroscience research related to neural decoding, neural circuit mechanism analysis, and neurological disease treatment.

Bone infection is a catastrophe in clinical *** being the standard therapy for osteomyelitis,antibiotic-loaded polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)cement has low efficiency against bacteria in ***,high-dose antibiotic-loaded implants carry risks of bacterial resistance,tissue toxicity,and impairment of local tissue *** incorporating borosilicate bioactive glass(BSG)into low-dose gentamicin sulfate(GS)-loaded PMMA cement,an intelligent strategy that synergistically eradicates bacteria and sequen-tially promotes osseointegration,was *** showed that BSG did not compromises the handling properties of the cement,but actually endowed it with an ionic and alkaline microenvironment,thereby damaging the integrity of bacterial cell walls and membranes,inhibiting ATP synthesis by disrupting the res-piratory chain in cell membranes and glycogen metabolism,and elevating reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels by weakening antioxidant components(peroxisomes and carotenoids).These antibacterial characteristics of BSG synergistically reinforced the effectiveness of GS,which was far below the actual clinical dosage,achieving efficient bacterial killing and biofilm clearance by binding to the 30S subunit of ***,the released GS and the ionic and alkaline microenvironment from the implants fostered the osteogenic activity of hBMSCs in vitro and coordinately enhanced osseointegration in ***,this study underscores that BSG incorporation offers a promising strategy for reducing antibiotic dosage while simultaneously enhancing the antibacterial activity and osteogenesis of *** approach holds potential for resolving the conflict be-tween bacterial resistance and bone infection.

V³H: View Variation and View Heredity for Incomplete Multiview Clustering

Real data often appear in the form of multiple incomplete views. Incomplete multiview clustering is an effective method to integrate these incomplete views. Previous methods only learn the consistent information between different views and ignore the unique information of each view, which limits their clustering performance and generalizations. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel View Variation and View Heredity approach (V³H). Inspired by the variation and the heredity in genetics, V³H first decomposes each subspace into a variation matrix for the corresponding view and a heredity matrix for all the views to represent the unique information and the consistent information respectively. Then, by aligning different views based on their cluster indicator matrices, V³H integrates the unique information from different views to improve the clustering performance. Finally, with the help of the adjustable low-rank representation based on the heredity matrix, V³H recovers the underlying true data structure to reduce the influence of the large incompleteness. More importantly, V³H presents possibly the first work to introduce genetics to clustering algorithms for learning simultaneously the consistent information and the unique information from incomplete multiview data. Extensive experimental results on fifteen benchmark datasets validate its superiority over other state-of-the-arts. Impact Statement—Incomplete multiview clustering is a popular technology to cluster incomplete datasets from multiple sources. The technology is becoming more significant due to the absence of the expensive requirement of labeling these datasets. However, previous algorithms cannot fully learn the information of each view. Inspired by variation and heredity in genetics, our proposed algorithm V³H fully learns the information of each view. Compared with the state-of-the-art algorithms, V³H improves clustering

Unifying Large Language Models and Knowledge Graphs: A Roadmap

Large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT and GPT4, are making new waves in the field of natural language processing and artificial intelligence, due to their emergent ability and generalizability. However, LLMs are black-box models, which often fall short of capturing and accessing factual knowledge. In contrast, Knowledge Graphs (KGs), Wikipedia and Huapu for example, are structured knowledge models that explicitly store rich factual knowledge. KGs can enhance LLMs by providing external knowledge for inference and interpretability. Meanwhile, KGs are difficult to construct and evolve by nature, which challenges the existing methods in KGs to generate new facts and represent unseen knowledge. Therefore, it is complementary to unify LLMs and KGs together and simultaneously leverage their advantages. In this article, we present a forward-looking roadmap for the unification of LLMs and KGs. Our roadmap consists of three general frameworks, namely, 1) KG-enhanced LLMs, which incorporate KGs during the pre-training and inference phases of LLMs, or for the purpose of enhancing understanding of the knowledge learned by LLMs;2) LLM-augmented KGs, that leverage LLMs for different KG tasks such as embedding, completion, construction, graph-to-text generation, and question answering;and 3) Synergized LLMs + KGs, in which LLMs and KGs play equal roles and work in a mutually beneficial way to enhance both LLMs and KGs for bidirectional reasoning driven by both data and knowledge. We review and summarize existing efforts within these three frameworks in our roadmap and pinpoint their future research directions. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

ESND: An Embedding-based Framework for Signed Network Dismantling

Network dismantling aims to maximize the disintegration of a network by removing a specific set of nodes or edges and is applied to various tasks in diverse domains, such as cracking down on crime organizations, delaying the propagation of rumors, and blocking the transmission of viruses. Most of the current network dismantling methods are tailored for unsigned networks, which only consider the connection between nodes without evaluating the nature of the relationships, such as friendship/hostility, enhancing/repressing, and trust/distrust. We here propose an embedding-based algorithm, namely ESND, to solve the signed network dismantling problem. The algorithm generally iterates the following four steps, i.e., giant component detection, network embedding, node clustering, and removal node selection. To illustrate the efficacy and stability of ESND, we conduct extensive experiments on six signed network datasets as well as null models, and compare the performance of our method with baselines. Experimental results consistently show that the proposed ESND is superior to the baselines and displays stable performance with the change in the network structure. Additionally, we examine the impact of sign proportions on network robustness via ESND, observing that networks with a high ratio of negative edges are generally easier to dismantle than networks with high positive edges.
