There are some defects on the surface of steel that are difficult to detect, so we propose an improved algorithm based on YOLOv8 for detecting defects that are difficult to be detected. This improvement includes the introduction of an SPD module to minimize the problem of information loss due to downsampling;the addition of a small object detection head combined with EMA attention to further enhance the detection capabilities for small targets;the use of BiFPN to replace the original PANet, applying different weights to different features to strengthen feature fusion. Experiments were conducted on the NEU-DET dataset, and the algorithm improved mAP to 80.2%, an improvement of 3.9% over the baseline model. © 2024 IEEE.

Task assignment is a key challenge in mobile crowd-sensing because of the varying capabilities of crowd users. Location-based task assignment schemes require users to upload their location to an untrusted platform, which raises many privacy concerns. However, stronger privacy preservation may lead to lower system utility. It is challenging to maximize system utility under privacy preservation for users. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving task assignment for heterogeneous users (PTAH) problem in mobile crowdsensing. Specifically, we divide users into two groups: private users with location privacy requirements and public users without location privacy requirements. We first design a privacy-preserving mechanism to obfuscate the actual location of private users. Then we construct a relationship graph based on the locations between users and tasks. We prove that the PTAH problem is an NP-hard problem, so to maximize the system utility, we propose an approximation algorithm based on the greedy algorithm. Then we propose a multi-thread cooperative simulated annealing algorithm to search for a better approximate solution. Finally, we conducted simulations based on the widely-used real-world Roma dataset. The results show that our proposed algorithm consistently outperforms other baseline algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

Segment Anything Model (SAM) has recently gained much attention for its outstanding generalization to unseen data and tasks. Despite its promising prospect, the vulnerabilities of SAM, especially to universal adversarial perturbation (UAP) have not been thoroughly investigated yet. In this paper, we propose DarkSAM, the first prompt-free universal attack framework against SAM, including a semantic decoupling-based spatial attack and a texture distortion-based frequency attack. We first divide the output of SAM into foreground and background. Then, we design a shadow target strategy to obtain the semantic blueprint of the image as the attack target. DarkSAM is dedicated to fooling SAM by extracting and destroying crucial object features from images in both spatial and frequency domains. In the spatial domain, we disrupt the semantics of both the foreground and background in the image to confuse SAM. In the frequency domain, we further enhance the attack effectiveness by distorting the high-frequency components (i.e., texture information) of the image. Consequently, with a single UAP, DarkSAM renders SAM incapable of segmenting objects across diverse images with varying prompts. Experimental results on four datasets for SAM and its two variant models demonstrate the powerful attack capability and transferability of DarkSAM. In addressing issues like an excessive number of network parameters and the loss of fine texture details in image super-resolution reconstruction approaches based on diffusion models, this passage introduces a novel image super-resolution model (FELSDiff). This model relies on the fusion of diffusion models, feature extraction, and latent space. FELSDiff utilizes a Pre-trained CNN for initial super-resolution to extract the primary low-band features and part high-band features of the image. The preliminary super-resolved image is then concatenated as a condition to this model. We introduce a cross-attention mechanism guided by the high-band features of the preliminary super-resolved image to enhance the network's feature extraction capability and obtain more effective features. In the U-Net structure, we incorporate a latent space strategy, enabling the model's training and inference processes to be conducted in the latent space, thereby reducing the number of network parameters. Experimental results on multiple standard datasets indicate that this method outperforms other advanced methods overall. © 2024 IEEE.

Classification of Phishing Email Using Word Embedding and Machine Learning Techniques

Email phishing is a cyber-attack, bringing substantial financial damage to corporate and commercial organizations. A phishing email is a special type of spamming, used to trick the user to disclose personal information to access his digital assets. Phishing attack is generally triggered by emailing links to spoofed websites that collect sensitive information. The APWG survey suggests that the existing countermeasures remain ineffective and insufficient for detecting phishing attacks. Hence there is a need for an efficient mechanism to detect phishing emails to provide better security against such attacks to the common user. The existing open-source data sets are limited in diversity, hence they do not capture the real picture of the attack. Hence there is a need for real-time input data set to design accurate email anti-phishing solutions. In the current work, it has been created a real-time in-house corpus of phishing and legitimate emails and proposed efficient techniques to detect phishing emails using a word embedding and machine learning algorithms. The proposed system uses only four email header-based heuristics for the classification of emails. The proposed word embedding cum machine learning framework comprises six word embedding techniques with five machine learning classifiers to evaluate the best performing combination. Among all six combinations, Random Forest consistently performed the best with FastText (CBOW) by achieving an accuracy of 99.50% with a false positive rate of 0.053%, TF-IDF achieved an accuracy of 99.39% with a false positive rate of 0.4% and Count Vectorizer achieved an accuracy of 99.18% with a false positive rate of 0.98% respectively for three datasets used. © 2022 River Publishers.

The incomplete sulfur reduction and high ZnS re-oxidation energy barrier along with severe side reactions during the battery cycling compromise the practical application of Zn–S electrochemistry. Herein, a bifunctional electrocatalytic sulfur matrix that simultaneously accelerates the sulfur reduction and ZnS oxidation is proposed to realize a highly-efficient Zn–S cell. It is revealed that the N-heteroatom hotspots are more favorable for facilitating the conversion of S to ZnS while the CoO nanocrystal substantially lowers the ZnS activation energy barrier thereby suppressing the formation of disproportionation species(e.g.,SO_(4)^(2-)) and accumulation of inactive ZnS. Accordingly, the Co O anchored on the N-doped carbon-supported sulfur cathode delivers a high Zn^(2+)storage capacity of 1,172 m Ahg^(-1)and outstanding cycling stability with a capacity retention of 71.6% after500 cycles with a high average Coulombic efficiency of 97.8%. Simultaneously, the stable cycling of solid-state Zn–S pouch cells with an energy density of 585 Whkg^(-1)sulfuris also demonstrated. Moreover, the postmortem analysis reveals that the degradation of Zn–S cells is mainly attributed to the limited reversibility of Zn anodes rather than the ZnS decomposition and/or accumulation. The approach to the bidirectional catalysis manipulated the sulfur redox provides a new perspective to realize the theoretical potentials of Zn–S cells.

In the medical realm, the pivotal role of pathological Whole Slide Images (WSIs) in detecting cancer, tracking disease progression, and evaluating treatment efficacy is indisputable. Nevertheless, the identification and quantification of lesion areas in these gigapixel WSIs present a significant challenge due to their substantial size and the intricate details of lesions. To address these issues, we developed a novel multi-resolution and multi-scale cross fusion network (M2CF-Net), adept at managing large-scale pathological WSIs and capturing both fine details and context. Our model particularly focuses on segmenting local lymphocyte infiltration lesions in pathological WSIs of patients diagnosed with primary Sjogren's syndrome. By employing a patch-based training approach and combining interconnected elements via a multi-scale fusion technique, we enhance our model's capacity to detect and analyze structures and features in minor salivary gland section WSIs. Extensive experiments and ablation studies conducted on real-world clinical datasets affirm our model's superior accuracy in identifying lymphocyte-infiltrated regions over state-of-the-art models, with a performance improvement of up to 4.32% in terms of the Dice Similarity Coefficient. © 2023 IEEE.

Mobile crowdsensing (MCS) is a potential technology for large-scale data collection. This technology requires the platform to recruit users to complete tasks in specific areas. A vital issue in MCS is task assignment, and most existing task assignment efforts consider only a single user type, which is not reasonable in real scenarios. Task assignment becomes more complicated when the platform tries to assign tasks to heterogeneous users with a limited budget in the platform. In this paper, we consider a quality-oriented task assignment for heterogeneous users problem. Professional users have a high sensing quality with a high cost, and normal users have a low sensing quality with a low cost First, we model the sensing capabilities and the costs of different users and formulate the quality-oriented task assignment for heterogeneous users problem. Then, we design the integer linear programming form and prove that the problem is NP-hard. By verifying the submodularity of the objective function, we present a greedy algorithm. Considering the inefficiency of the algorithm, we design two genetic algorithms to improve the total sensing quality. Finally, we evaluate the proposed algorithms under different cost cases based on a real dataset The results show that our proposed algorithm performs well under different cost distribution scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

Ridesharing benefits the economy and the environment. In multi-hop ridesharing, passengers are permitted to switch vehicles within a single trip, extending the flexibility of conventional ridesharing. Nonetheless, vehicle dispatch is a difficult issue in multi-hop ridesharing. We subdivide the vehicle dispatching problem into the vehicle pairing problem and the request selection problem within a vehicle pair. To address these subproblems, we propose a two-stage framework for vehicle pair dispatching. In the initial stage, we model the vehicle pairing problem as a maximum vehicle-vehicle matching problem in a general graph, which differs from the conventional vehicle-request matching problem in a bipartite graph. The vehicle pairing algorithm is proposed to efficiently solve the vehicle pairing problem. In the second stage, we model the request selection problem as a multidimensional knapsack problem (d-KP) and propose an LP-relaxation request selection algorithm with an approximation ratio 1/5. Experiments conducted on a real-world dataset demonstrate the economic benefit of our proposed two-stage framework. © 2023 IEEE.
