We demonstrate ultra-thin fiber accelerometers based on coherent phase detection. There is a growing need for protective instruments that can be used in extreme environments,including those encountered during exoplanet exploration,anti-terrorism activities,and in chemical *** instruments should have the ability to detect external threats visually and monitor internal physiological signals in real time for maximum *** address this need,multifunctional semiconducting fibers with visual detection ranging from yellow to red and near-field communication(NFC)capabilities have been developed for use in personal protective clothing.A composite conductive yarn with semiconducting fluorescent probe molecules is embroidered on the clothing,forming an NFC coil that allows for the visual monitoring of atmospheric safety through color *** fluorescence detection system was able to selectively detect diethyl chlorophosphate(DCP),a substitute for the toxic gas sarin,with a detection limit of 6.08 ppb,which is lower than the life-threatening concentration of sarin ***,an intelligent protective suit with the abovementioned dual functions was fabricated with good mechanical cycle stability and ***-time physiological signals such as the temperature and humidity of the wearer could be read through the NFC *** intelligent protective suits can quickly provide an early warning to the identified low-dose DCP and evaluate the health of wearer according to the changes in physiological *** study offers a smart,low-cost strategy for designing intelligent protective devices for extreme environments.

Scalable video coding(SVC)has been widely used in video-on-demand(VOD)service,to efficiently satisfy users’different video quality requirements and dynamically adjust video stream to timevariant wireless *** the 5G network structure,we consider a cooperative caching scheme inside each cluster with SVC to economically utilize the limited caching storage.A novel multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL)framework is proposed to jointly optimize the video access delay and users’satisfaction,where an aggregation node is introduced helping individual agents to achieve global observations and overall system ***,to cope with the large action space caused by the large number of videos and users,a dimension decomposition method is embedded into the neural network in each agent,which greatly reduce the computational complexity and memory cost of the reinforcement *** results show that:1)the proposed value-decomposed dimensional network(VDDN)algorithm achieves an obvious performance gain versus the traditional MADRL;2)the proposed VDDN algorithm can handle an extremely large action space and quickly converge with a low computational complexity.

In order to realize the autonomous collision avoidance of unmanned surface vehicle(USV),a collision avoidance system(CAS) for USV based on the Tunable Fast Marching Square method(TFMS) and the Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Control(FCS-MPC) strategy is ***,the navigation simulation model of the USV is ***,the TFMS is adopted to get the optimal path from start point to destination point in given ***-MPC is used under the constraints of local environment and dynamic model of USV to ensure collision avoidance during ***,the track point in the global planned path is served as the local target points of collision avoidance strategy,so the USV can arrive at the final target points safely and *** experiments are carried out with real coastal map as environmental constraints to validate the effectiveness of proposed CAS.

The ability to detect aerial objects with limited annotation is pivotal to the development of real-world aerial intelligence systems. In this work, we focus on a demanding but practical sparsely annotated object detection (SAOD) in aerial images, which encompasses a wider variety of aerial scenes with the same number of annotated objects. Although most existing SAOD methods rely on fixed thresholding to filter pseudo-labels for enhancing detector performance, adapting to aerial objects proves challenging due to the imbalanced probabilities/confidences associated with predicted aerial objects. To address this problem, we propose a novel Progressive Exploration-Conformal Learning (PECL) framework to address the SAOD task, which can adaptively perform the selection of high-quality pseudo-labels in aerial images. Specifically, the pseudo-label exploration can be formulated as a decision-making paradigm by adopting a conformal pseudo-label explorer and a multi-clue selection evaluator. The conformal pseudo-label explorer learns an adaptive policy by maximizing the cumulative reward, which can decide how to select these high-quality candidates by leveraging their essential characteristics and inter-instance contextual information. The multi-clue selection evaluator is designed to evaluate the explorer-guided pseudo-label selections by providing an instructive feedback for policy optimization. Finally, the explored pseudo-labels can be adopted to guide the optimization of aerial object detector in a closed-loop progressive fashion. Comprehensive evaluations on two public datasets demonstrate the superiority of our PECL when compared with other state-of-the-art methods in the sparsely annotated aerial object detection task. Traditional antifouling agents usually have a certain toxic effect on marine environments and non-target *** this study,Dictyophora indusiata polysaccharide(DIP)was applied as a natural antifouling surface modifier to prepare the surface coating for marine *** DIP coatings were prepared:*** spore polysaccharide(DISP),*** volva polysaccharide(DIVP),and *** embryonic body polysaccharide(DIEP).The antifouling,tribological,and anticorrosion behavior of the coatings were *** revealed that the three kinds of DIP coatings had excellent antifouling properties,which could effectively prevent the adhesion of Chlorella and the attachment of water-based and oily stains on the ***,the coatings showed great mechanical stability and could maintain an extremely low coefficient of friction(COF<0.05)after continuous *** drag reduction rate of the coated surfaces reached 5%,showing a powerful lubrication ***,the DIP coatings presented an outstanding corrosion resistance,where the equivalent circuit impedances were 4-9 orders of magnitude higher than the control *** research showed a promising prospect of surface coating fabrication with DIP for marine devices to achieve the purpose of antifouling and drag reduction.

Efficient distributed algorithms for holistic aggregation functions on random regular graphs

In this paper, we propose efficient distributed algorithms for three holistic aggregation functions on random regular graphs that are good candidates for network topology in next-generation data *** three holistic aggregation functions include SELECTION（select the k-th largest or smallest element）,DISTINCT（query the count of distinct elements）, MODE（query the most frequent element）. We design three basic techniques — Pre-order Network Partition, Pairwise-independent Random Walk, and Random Permutation Delivery, and devise the algorithms based on the techniques. The round complexity of the distributed SELECTION is Θ（log N） which meets the lower bound where N is the number of nodes and each node holds a numeric element. The round complexity of the distributed DISTINCT and MODE algorithms are O（log3N/log log N） and O（log2N log log N） respectively. All of our results break the lower bounds obtained on general graphs and our distributed algorithms are all based on the CON GE S T model, which restricts each node to send only O（log N） bits on each edge in one round under synchronous communications.

Power grid load forecasting is an optimization of power grid structure deployment, which can achieve a dynamic balance between power production and use. Large errors in forecasting will lead to increased operation and maintenance costs. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes an algorithm based on improved particle swarm optimization BP neural network to solve the current power grid load forecasting, balance power production and use, and provide a theoretical basis for the economic benefits of energy production departments in ensuring users' reasonable power *** simulation results show that the improved particle swarm optimization BP neural network algorithm has better and more accurate effect in solving the power grid load prediction. © 2022 ACM.
