Analysis and Classification of Fake News Using Sequential Pattern Mining

Disinformation,often known as fake news,is a major issue that has received a lot of attention *** researchers have proposed effective means of detecting and addressing *** machine and deep learning based methodologies for classification/detection of fake news are content-based,network(propagation)based,or multimodal methods that combine both textual and visual *** introduce here a framework,called FNACSPM,based on sequential pattern mining(SPM),for fake news analysis and *** this framework,six publicly available datasets,containing a diverse range of fake and real news,and their combination,are first transformed into a proper ***,algorithms for SPM are applied to the transformed datasets to extract frequent patterns(and rules)of words,phrases,or linguistic *** obtained patterns capture distinctive characteristics associated with fake or real news content,providing valuable insights into the underlying structures and commonalities of ***,the discovered frequent patterns are used as features for fake news *** framework is evaluated with eight classifiers,and their performance is assessed with various *** experiments were performed and obtained results show that FNACSPM outperformed other state-of-the-art approaches for fake news classification,and that it expedites the classification task with high accuracy.

Fiber-optic Fabry-Perot (FP) sensor has the advantages of small structural size, high sensitivity, and immunity to electromagnetic interference, which has been widely used in acceleration detection. However, due to the fact that the acceleration sensing structure is mainly based on the mass inertia model, this leads to a mutual constraint between the natural frequency and sensitivity of the sensor. Therefore, it is difficult for fiber-optic FP accelerometers to achieve both wide operating frequency band and high sensitivity simultaneously. In this work, we propose and demonstrate a wide-band and highly-sensitive optical accelerometer based on dual cascaded spring resonators, which is microfabricated by Micro Electro Mechanical systems (MEMS) technique. Its unique in-plane vibration mode is used to expand the operating frequency band of the sensor, and two different structures of cascaded spring resonator accelerometers are combined to compensate for frequency loss caused by resonance peaks. The entire MEMS chip exhibits a uniform thickness of 300μm, greatly simplifying silicon microfabrication and improving process yield. The experimental results show that the flat response range of the sensor is 1 ~ 1780 Hz, and the detection sensitivity is 11.55 dB re rad/g, which is nearly 16 dB higher than the sensitivity of traditional same frequency band accelerometers. The minimum detectable acceleration of the sensor is 2.23 μg/√Hz@10Hz, 409 ng/√Hz@100Hz and 359 ng/√Hz@1kHz. The overall crosstalk is less than 1.33 %. These excellent performances demonstrate that it is an ideal solution for detecting wideband and weak vibration signals. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

Hydrogel bioadhesives, when applied to dysfunctional tissues substituting the epidermis or endothelium,exhibit compelling characteristics that enable revolutionary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Despite their demonstrated efficacy, these hydrogels as soft implants are still limited by improper symmetric surface functions, leading to postoperative complications and disorders. Janus hydrogel bioadhesives with unique asymmetric surface designs have thus been proposed as a reliable and biocompatible hydrogel interface,mimicking the structural characteristics of natural biological barriers. In this comprehensive review, we provide guidelines for the rational design of Janus hydrogel bioadhesives, covering methods for hydrogel surface chemistry and microstructure engineering. The engineering of Janus hydrogels is highlighted,specifically in tuning the basal surface to facilitate instant and robust hydrogel-tissue integration and modulating the apical surface as the anti-adhesion, anti-fouling, and anti-wear barrier. These asymmetric designs hold great potential in clinical translation, supporting applications including hemostasis/tissue sealing, chronic wound management, and regenerative medicine. By shedding light on the potential of Janus hydrogels as bioactive interfaces, this review paper aims to inspire further research and overcome current obstacles for advancing soft matter in next-generation healthcare.

Most current representations of protein pockets are the atom-pair graph, which ignore the global structural information of amino acids. Therefore, we propose a new molecular generation model, which uses the hypergraph to represent protein pocket structure, and combines the structural features obtained by atom-pair graph representation. These two levels of graphs are more capable of representing the complex structural information of protein pockets. Then, the graphs of the two levels of the protein pockets are input into the improved network model, which is named Hypergraph Graph Attention Fusion (HGAF), to obtain the embedding representation of the protein pockets, which is used as a condition to constrain the molecule generation. The molecules sampled by HGAF are subjected to quality assessment and docking targeting validation. Experimental results show that the molecules generated by proposed method can achieve better results in both of these assessment approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Pedestrian wind flow prediction using spatial-frequency generative adversarial network

Pedestrian wind flow is a critical factor in designing livable residential environments under growing complex urban *** pedestrian wind flow during the early design stages is essential but currently suffers from inefficiencies in numerical *** learning,particularly generative adversarial networks(GAN),has been increasingly adopted as an alternative method to provide efficient prediction of pedestrian wind ***,existing GAN-based wind flow prediction schemes have limitations due to the lack of considering the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow *** study proposes a novel approach termed SFGAN,which embeds spatial and frequency characteristics to enhance pedestrian wind flow *** the spatial domain,Gaussian blur is employed to decompose wind flow into components containing wind speed and distinguished flow edges,which are used as the embedded spatial *** information of wind flow is obtained through discrete wavelet transformation and used as the embedded frequency *** spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow are jointly utilized to enforce consistency between the predicted wind flow and ground truth during the training phase,thereby leading to enhanced *** results demonstrate that SFGAN clearly improves wind flow prediction,reducing Wind_MAE,Wind_RMSE and the Fréchet Inception Distance(FID)score by 5.35%,6.52%and 12.30%,compared to the previous best method,*** also analyze the effectiveness of incorporating the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow in predicting pedestrian wind *** reduces errors in predicting wind flow at large error intervals and performs well in wake regions and regions surrounding *** enhanced predictions provide a better understanding of performance variability,bringing insights at the early design stage to improve pedestrian wind *** proposed spatial-frequen

In industrial applications, fault diagnosis of gearboxes is critical for ensuring the reliability and safe operation of machinery and equipment. However, data-driven fault diagnosis techniques rely heavily on high-quality labeled data for training, which is often difficult to obtain in real industrial scenarios. To address this challenge, this paper presents a digital twin fault diagnosis framework. First, the digital twin technique is utilized to build a virtual model of a gearbox that generates sufficient labeled fault data. Second, we develop a hybrid adversarial domain discriminative network, which incorporates a spatial channel reconstruction convolution module instead of a conventional residual network to enhance the model’s feature extraction capabilities. Additionally, we propose a dynamic weighted joint distribution adaptation method to improve domain confusion capability, minimizing the granularity of features between the two types of data. Finally, the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed method are validated through experiments. © 2024 IEEE.
