Federated Collaborative Graph Neural Networks for Few-shot Graph Classification

Graph neural networks(GNNs)have achieved state-of-the-art performance on graph classification tasks,which aim to pre-dict the class labels of entire graphs and have widespread ***,existing GNN based methods for graph classification are data-hungry and ignore the fact that labeling graph examples is extremely expensive due to the intrinsic *** import-antly,real-world graph data are often scattered in different *** by these observations,this article presents federated collaborative graph neural networks for few-shot graph classification,termed *** its owned graph examples,each client first trains two branches to collaboratively characterize each graph from different views and obtains a high-quality local few-shot graph learn-ing model that can generalize to novel categories not seen while *** each branch,initial graph embeddings are extracted by any GNN and the relation information among graph examples is incorporated to produce refined graph representations via relation aggrega-tion layers for few-shot graph classification,which can reduce over-fitting while learning with scarce labeled graph ***,multiple clients owning graph data unitedly train the few-shot graph classification models with better generalization ability and effect-ively tackle the graph data island *** experimental results on few-shot graph classification benchmarks demonstrate the ef-fectiveness and superiority of our proposed framework.

Deep learning methods have achieved remarkable results in the direction of image quality assessment tasks. However, most of the related studies focus only on image unimodal, ignoring the potential advantages that come with the development of cross-modal techniques. Cross-modal models have implied a wealth of information, which provides new research directions and possibilities in the field of image quality assessment. In this paper, the feasibility of cross-modal models in image quality assessment is first explored for the image quality binary classification task. Subsequently, the optimization prompting method is combined with the tuning of the image encoder in the cross-modal model so that the cross-modal model can be used for image quality assessment scoring. To verify the feasibility of the cross-modal model on the image quality assessment task, an empirical analysis was conducted on the binary image quality dataset PQD, and it was found that the F1 score improved by 18% over the baseline model. Further, we propose an adaptive cross-modal image quality assessment method AC-IQA. On the image quality scoring dataset, compared with the previous optimal methods, AC-IQA improves the PLCC and SROCC metrics on the TID2013 dataset by 5.5% and 9.5%, respectively, and on the KADID dataset by 6.2% and 5.2%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

From Torch to Projector: Fundamental Tradeoff of Integrated Sensing and Communications

Sensing and communications (S&C) were historically developed in parallel. In the last decade, they have been evolving from separation to integration, giving rise to the integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) paradigm, that has been recognized as one of 6G key usage scenarios. Despite the plethora of research works dedicated to ISAC signal processing, the fundamental performance limits of S&C remain widely unexplored in ISAC systems. In this tutorial paper, we attempt to summarize the recent research findings in characterizing the performance boundary of ISAC systems and the resulting S&C tradeoff from an information-theoretical viewpoint. We begin with a folkloric "torch metaphor" that depicts the subspace tradeoff between S&C. Then, we elaborate on the fundamental capacity-distortion (C-D) theory, indicating the incompleteness of this metaphor. Toward that end, we further elaborate on the S&C tradeoff by discussing a special case within the C-D framework, namely the Cramér–Rao bound-rate region. In particular, S&C have preference discrepancies over both the signal subspace and the adopted codebook, leading to a "projector metaphor" complementary to the torch analogy. We also present two practical design examples by leveraging the lessons learned from fundamental theories. Finally, we conclude the article by identifying a number of open challenges. © 2021 IEEE.

This study details an astrometric observation campaign of the Near-Earth Asteroid 1998 HH49,conducted with the aim of refining our understanding of its physical *** the 50 cm telescope located at the Wumingshan Mountain in Daocheng,Sichuan,images were obtained over four nights,from 2023 October 19 to October *** observations were processed using Astrometrica software,facilitating the precise determination of the asteroid's *** observational results were compared with the ephemerides from three distinct sources to verify accuracy:the Jet Propulsion laboratory(JPL)Horizons system,the Institut de Mécanique Céleste et de Calcul deséphémérides(IMCCE)Miriade,and the Near-Earth Objects Dynamic Site(NEODyS-2).When compared with the JPL ephemeris,a mean observed-minus-calculated(O-C)result of 0.″07 in the *** and-0.″35 in the *** was ***,the comparison with the IMCCE ephemeris yielded mean O-C results of 0.″08 in the *** and-0.″06 in the *** comparison with the NEODyS-2 ephemeris yielded the mean O-C results of 0.″06 in ***-0.″49 in *** study's findings demonstrate a general consistency between the observed data and the ephemeris predictions,with minor discrepancies observed across the data ***,both the JPL and NEODyS-2 ephemerides show that the residuals in the *** exceed those in the *** disparities may result from atmospheric differential color refraction,ephemeris discrepancies,observational errors,and other ***,it is worth noting that further investigation is required due to the potential influence of additional ***,the Daocheng 50 cm Telescope exhibits the ability to conduct high-precision positional measurements.

Three-dimensional temperature reconstruction of diffusion flame from the light-field convolution imaging by the focused plenoptic camera

The plenoptic imaging technique provides a promising approach to the non-invasive three-dimensional measurement, especially for the high-temperature combustion diagnosis. We establish a light-field convolution imaging model for diffusion flame in this work, considering the radiation transfer process inside the diffusion flame and the light transfer process inside the focused plenoptic camera together. The radiation transfer process is described by the radiation transfer equation and solved by the generalized source multi-flux method. Wave optics theory is adopted to describe the light transfer process, combining Fresnel diffraction and the phase conversion of the lens. The flame light-field image is obtained by the light-field convolution imaging model and adopted as the measurement signal to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature field. The inverse problem of temperature reconstruction is solved by the least square QR decomposition method. The simulative temperature reconstruction work is conducted, including the inverse analysis, the uncertainty analysis, and the measurement noise influence. All the results show that the proposed measurement method is available to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature with satisfactory accuracy and acceptable uncertainty. Both symmetric and asymmetric distributed temperature fields are investigated, and the reconstructed results prove the validity and universality of the measurement method.

To solve the problem of ship heave motion in harsh marine environments, which affects the positioning accuracy and safety of its robotic arm, this paper adopts a PID parameter optimization method based on Tent cold light source improved sparrow search ***, utilizing Tent chaotic mapping to enhance the diversity of sparrow populations, and inspired by the fluorescence attraction effect in the firefly algorithm, this paper perturbs sparrows with a cold light source strategy to obtain better positions and improve their search ***, simulation experiments were conducted to optimize the PID control system using improved *** results showed that compared with the three population intelligent optimization algorithm, the improved algorithm had better convergence accuracy, system response speed, and ***, the improved algorithm was applied to the actual experiment of compensating for the heave direction at the end of a shipborne robotic *** comparison of the four algorithms in compensating for the height difference in the heave direction showed that the improved algorithm had the best heave compensation effect, reflecting the effectiveness of the algorithm in engineering *** provides a certain reference for the active compensation of swarm intelligence optimization algorithms in the heave direction of ships. © 2024 SPIE.

Hybrid Power-line/Visible-light Communication(HPVC)network has been one of the most promising Cooperative Communication(CC)technologies for constructing Smart Home due to its superior communication reliability and hardware *** research on HPVC networks focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of the Physical(PHY)layer,where the Power Line Communication(PLC)component only serves as the backbone to provide power to light Emitting Diode(LED)*** designing a Media Access Control(MAC)protocol remains a great challenge because it allows both PLC and Visible Light Communication(VLC)components to operate data transmission,i.e.,to achieve a true HPVC network *** solve this problem,we propose a new HPC network MAC protocol(HPVC MAC)based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance(CSMA/CA)by combining IEEE 802.15.7 and IEEE 1901 ***,we add an Additional Assistance(AA)layer to provide the channel selection strategies for sensor stations,so that they can complete data transmission on the selected channel via the specified CSMA/CA mechanism,*** on this,we give a detailed working principle of the HPVC MAC,followed by the construction of a joint analytical model for mathematicalmathematical validation of the HPVC *** the modeling process,the impacts of PHY layer settings(including channel fading types and additive noise feature),CSMA/CA mechanisms of 802.15.7 and 1901,and practical configurations(such as traffic rate,transit buffer size)are comprehensively taken into ***,we prove the proposed analytical model has the ***,through extensive simulations,we characterize the HPVC MAC performance under different system parameters and verify the correctness of the corresponding analytical model with an average error rate of 4.62%between the simulation and analytical results.

In the multilayer film-substrate system,thermal stress concentration and stress mutations cause film buckling,delamination and cracking,leading to device *** this paper,we investigated a multilayer film system composed of a substrate and three film *** thermal stress distribution inside the structure was calculated by the finite element method,revealing significant thermal stress differences between the *** is mainly due to the mismatch of the coefficient of thermal expansion between *** materials respond differently to changes in external temperature,leading to compression between *** are obvious thermal stress concentration points at the corners of the base layer and the transition layer,which is due to the sudden change of the shape at the geometric section of the structure,resulting in a sudden increase in local *** address this issue,we chamfered the substrate and added an intermediate layer between the substrate and the transition layer to assess whether these modifications could reduce or eliminate the thermal stress concentration points and extend the service life of the multilayer *** results indicate that chamfering and adding the intermediate layer effectively reduce stress discontinuities and mitigate thermal stress concentration points,thereby improving interlayer bonding strength.
