This paper focuses on cooperative formation tracking problem of heterogeneous leader-following multi-UAVs with faulty sensors where the faulty sensors of the followers can only measure the partial output of the leader. First, the kinematic models of heterogeneous multi-UAVs based on the individual speed response time constants are established. Then, by utilizing the output regulation method, a formation controller based on a distributed observer is proposed based on partial outputs obtained by the faulty sensors of the followers. It should be noted that the proposed controller can achieve formation tracking of UAVs with faulty sensors to the leader UAV. Finally, a simulation example is performed to check out the validation of the proposed methods. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

With the rapid and continuous development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) and communication technology, UAV cluster have become a preferred solution for long-distance mission execution. Additionally, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) are no longer confined to individual or single-task combat operations. Instead, UAVs are coordinated to form an Ad Hoc network to accomplish multiple mission objectives. As the number of missions and electronic communication devices increases, the complexity of spectrum resource allocation becomes more and more complex. In order to address the spectrum allocation challenges faced by multiple onboard systems within the UAV Ad Hoc network during mobility flights, this paper proposes an implicit spectrum resource allocation algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning, where the ground station and UAVs are viewed as intelligent agents in the deep reinforcement learning, addressing communication issues among different onboard systems. By leveraging the past experience through Q-learning and utilizing deep learning to train the spectrum allocation strategies, the proposed algorithm aims to achieve a better system performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed spectrum resource allocation algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning can reasonably allocate spectrum resources according to various onboard systems and communication environment with benefits on system data rate. © 2024 IEEE.

The interdiffusion interface microstructures and composition evolution of Ni-Al-Cr/Ni-Al-Cr layered alloys under different temperature gradients were studied using phase-field simulation.A precipitate-free zone forms near the interface of the layered alloys,and the interface does not move with time under temperature *** Cr concentrations in the alloy layers are different,Al diffuses from a low-to high-temperature region,whereas Cr from a high-to low-temperature *** width of the precipitate-free zone changes from 0.5 to 2.5μm as the temperature gradient changes fromΔT=0.625 K·μm^(−1) to 1.250 K·μm^(−1);the width of the interdiffusion zone is also ***,the temperature gradient promotes the interdiffusion of elements through the *** contrast,when the initial Al concentration is different in the alloy layers,an uphill diffusion of Al occurs,which is driven by the chemical potential of Al.

To address the limitations of typical coil detection systems and enhance the performance of traditional magnetic field imaging (MFI) systems, we propose a MFI system that uses a 4×4 array of anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) sensors. The core controller of the proposed system was designed using a pipelined parallelization algorithm and implemented on a high-speed field-programmable gate array (FPGA) in a fully hardware-based architecture. The designed MFI system can achieve parallel acquisition of magnetic field components from the 16-channel AMR sensor array, parallel data processing, parallel data transmission, and parallel computations in a single cycle of only 4 ms. Compared with typical detection systems, the proposed solution not only exhibits superior performance but can also provide dynamic visual representations of sensed information. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The Fission Surface Power system is a feasible solution for future lunar surface exploration energy supply, with the solid-state reactor being considered a primary candidate. This paper presents a modeling and analysis of a solid-state reactor based on publicly available information. Using the reactor Monte Carlo program RMC and the commercial finite element analysis software ANSYS, the reactor is modeled and analyzed. The power distribution of the active zone and reactivity feedback coefficients of the entire core are obtained. The result indicates a negative reactivity feedback coefficient, confirming this reactor design's inherent safety. Furthermore, a two-dimensional reactor model is constructed to obtain the temperature distribution during full-power operation, and non-passive residual heat removal analysis and radiative heat loss failure analysis are performed. At the failure condition of all heat pipes, the maximum core temperature is 742 K, which is below the reactor safety temperature limit, confirming the residual heat removal capability of the solid-state reactor in the loss of heat sink. Additionally, the self-developed transient reactor system analysis program is used for thermal safety analysis. The thermal parameters and heat transfer limits of high-temperature alkali metal heat pipes within the reactor are obtained, with the ratio of heat transfer limit to the heat load of 2.05 demonstrating sufficient safety margins of the heat pipe operation in the reactor. The results manifest that the core is satisfied with the existing criteria for anticipated operating occurrences of solid-state reactors, verifying the excellent safety performance of this reactor design. Pharmaceuticals, which are closely linked to human activities, have attracted global attention. This study investigated the occurrence characteristics of 20 pharmaceuticals in surface water of the Yangtze Estuary and adjacent sea. A total of 14 targeted pharmaceuticals were detected in both spring and summer sampling campaigns. The mean concentrations of sulfonamides and non-sulfonamides were 36.60 ± 19.43 ng·L−1 and 50.02 ± 41.07 ng·L−1, respectively. As for non-antibiotics, their concentrations were in the range of 24.34 ± 916.8 ng·L−1 with caffeine accounting for 6.17 ~ 86.70% (average percentage of 42.22%). Meanwhile, spatial distribution patterns showed similarities between antibiotics and non-antibiotics, with high levels occurring near the upper estuary, aquaculture areas, wastewater treatment plants, and the maximum turbidity zone. This phenomenon could be related to the sources of pharmaceuticals and the physicochemical properties of water bodies. Obviously, the first three areas are highly impacted by human activities or serve as important sources of terrestrial contaminants entering the East China Sea. The last area retains high amounts of suspended particles which may exert strong trapping effects on hydrophobic chemicals. Principal component analysis revealed the presence of three potential sources for pharmaceuticals in the Yangtze Estuary, with a relatively high percentage originating from incompletely treated municipal sewage. As for the temporal trend, pharmaceutical contamination was found to be higher in spring compared to summer, potentially due to variations in pharmaceutical consumption patterns, local rainfalls, and water temperatures. These findings provide fundamental data support for implementing appropriate local management strategies for pharmaceutical usages. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.
