Chemical bond and dielectric response of Yb_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)ceramic with low dielectric constant at GHz and THz

The exploration of high-performance dielectric ceramics with dielectric constants lower than 10 is of great significance for the next generation of wireless *** this study,we reported the Yb_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)(YSO)dielectric ceramics synthesized using a facile solid-state reaction technique.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)characterization confirmed that YSO ceramics had a monoclinic *** a sintering temperature of 1500℃,the sintered sample reached a maximum relative density of 96%and demonstrated the best dielectric properties:dielectric constant(ε_(r))=7.57,Q×f=78,645 GHz(Q is quality factor,and f is the resonant frequency of 13.5 GHz),andtemperature coefficient of the resonant frequency(τ_(f))=−13.5 ppm/℃.Moreover,Raman analysis revealed that the Si–O bond dominated the lattice vibration,and the full width at half maximum(FWHM)of the strong peak at 922 cm^(−1)was inversely proportional to the Q×f *** to the Phillips–van Vechten–Levine(P–V–L)theory,the values of Q×f andτ_(f)are affected primarily by the Si–O bond,whileε_(r)is influenced mainly by the Yb–O *** ceramics demonstrated excellent dielectric properties in the terahertz band(ε_(r)=8.13,Q×f=112,758 GHz),making them promising candidates for future applications in the terahertz band.

The past decade has witnessed the rapid increasement in power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,serious ion migration hampers their operational *** dopants composed of varied cations and anions are introduced into perovskite to suppress ion migration,the impact of cations or anions is not individually explored,which hinders the evaluation of different cations and further application of doping *** we report that a special group of sulfonic anions(like CF_(3)SO_(3)^(-))successfully introduce alkaline earth ions(like Ca^(2+))into perovskite lattice compared to its halide ***,with effective crystallization regulation and defect passivation of sulfonic anions,perovskite with Ca(CF_(3)SO_(3))_(2)shows reduced PbI2 residue and metallic Pb0 defects;thereby,corresponding PSCs show an enhanced PCE of 24.95%.Finally by comparing the properties of perovskite with Ca(CF_(3)SO_(3))_(2)and FACF_(3)SO_(3),we found that doped Ca^(2+)significantly suppressed halide migration with an activation energy of 1.246 eV which accounts for the improved operational stability of Ca(CF_(3)SO_(3))_(2-)doped PSCs,while no obvious impact of Ca^(2+)on trap density is *** the benefits of cations and anions,this study presents an effective method to decouple the effects of cations and anions and fabricate efficient and stable PSCs.

An Evolutionary Multitasking Algorithm for Efficient Multiobjective Recommendations

Represented by evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence algorithms, nature-inspired metaheuristics have been successfully applied to recommender systems and amply demonstrated effectiveness, in particular, for multiobjective recommendation. Owing to the population-based search paradigm, these algorithms can produce a number of recommendation lists, making diverse tradeoffs between multiple metrics and meeting the requirements of accuracy, novelty, diversity, and other user preferences. However, these algorithms are criticized for the low efficiency of the optimization process, especially when the number of users is large. To address this issue, this article proposes an evolutionary multitasking-based recommendation method, where each task corresponds to a user and all the tasks are optimized simultaneously, thus highly improving the efficiency of recommendation. To enhance the convergence speed, all the users are divided into multiple populations according to the similarity between their preferences, where each population evolves with internal knowledge transfer between users, and all the populations evolve with external knowledge transfer between populations. Experimental results on various datasets verify that the proposed method can better balance between multiple metrics than classical and deep neural network-based recommendation methods and exhibits significantly higher efficiency than evolutionary multiobjective optimization-based recommendation methods. © 2024 IEEE. Optimal Production Capacity Matching for Blockchain-Enabled Manufacturing Collaboration With the Iterative Double Auction Method

The increased demand for personalized customization calls for new production modes to enhance collaborations among a wide range of manufacturing practitioners who unnecessarily trust each other. In this article, a blockchain-enabled manufacturing collaboration framework is proposed, with a focus on the production capacity matching problem for blockchainbased peer-to-peer(P2P) collaboration. First, a digital model of production capacity description is built for trustworthy and transparent sharing over the blockchain. Second, an optimization problem is formulated for P2P production capacity matching with objectives to maximize both social welfare and individual benefits of all participants. Third, a feasible solution based on an iterative double auction mechanism is designed to determine the optimal price and quantity for production capacity matching with a lack of personal information. It facilitates automation of the matching process while protecting users' privacy via blockchainbased smart contracts. Finally, simulation results from the Hyperledger Fabric-based prototype show that the proposed approach increases social welfare by 1.4% compared to the Bayesian game-based approach, makes all participants profitable,and achieves 90% fairness of enterprises.

Enhancing the performance of high-power DUV-LEDs with sloped sidewall by introducing N-electrode holes and interrupted mesa

This study introduces innovative structural enhancements in deep ultraviolet LEDs (DUV-LEDs) to optimize Performance. By implementing a 46.9° sloped mesa sidewall, we have designed what we believe to be two novel structures: an n-electrode hole structure that extends the active region and an interrupted mesa structure that significantly enlarges the sidewall area. We investigated the effects of these structures on DUV-LED performance independently and demonstrated that both single structure devices surpass the performance of conventional DUV-LEDs. Notably, the interrupted mesa structure yields a more substantial performance enhancement at higher injection currents, while the n-electrode hole structure excels at lower currents. Meanwhile, this paper also prepared two kinds of DUV-LEDs with parallel and staggered rows of mesa and n-electrode holes by combining the above two single structures on the same device. Compared with the single structure device, the performance of these combined structure devices is further improved, in which the performance of the DUV-LEDs with staggered rows of mesa and n-electrode holes is even better, the external quantum efficiency (EQE) and wall plug efficiency (WPE) of 9.19% and 7.13% at 250 mA operating current, which is an improvement of 9.6% and 4.4%, respectively, compared with that of the conventional DUV-LEDs. Furthermore, the enhancement in performance will be augmented with an increase in current, due to the efficient conversion of active area to sidewall area. At 500 mA, the optical power of the staggered-array device is increased by 10.6% compared to conventional DUV-LEDs;at 1000 mA, the optical power is increased by 17.7%. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Electrochemical extraction of strontium from molten salts using reactive zincand aluminum electrodes

Herein, the electrochemical behaviors of Sr on inert W electrode and reactive Zn/Al electrodes were systematically investig-ated in LiCl–KCl–SrCl2molten salts at 773 K using various electrochemical methods. The chemical reaction potentials of Li and Sr on re-active Zn/Al electrodes were determined. We observed that Sr could be extracted by decreasing the activity of the deposited metal Sr onthe reactive electrode, although the standard reduction potential of Sr(II)/Sr was more negative than that of Li(I)/Li. The electrochemicalextraction products of Sr on reactive Zn and Al electrodes were Zn13Sr and Al4Sr, respectively, with no codeposition of Li *** on the density functional theory calculations, both Zn13Sr and Al4Sr were identified as stable intermetallic compounds with Zn-/Al-rich phases. In LiCl–KCl molten salt containing 3wt% SrCl2, the coulombic efficiency of Sr in the Zn electrode was ~54%. The depolar-ization values for Sr on Zn and Al electrodes were 0.864 and 0.485 V, respectively, exhibiting a stronger chemical interaction between Znand Sr than between Al and Sr. This study suggests that using reactive electrodes can facilitate extraction of Sr accumulated while elec-trorefining molten salts, thereby enabling the purification and reuse of the salt and decreasing the volume of the nuclear waste.

On Strong Secrecy for Multiple Access Channels With States and Causal CSI

Strong secrecy communication over a discrete memoryless state-dependent multiple access channel (SD-MAC) with an external eavesdropper is investigated. The channel is governed by discrete memoryless and i.i.d. channel states, and the channel state information (CSI) is revealed to the encoders in a causal manner. The main results of this paper are inner and outer bounds of the capacity region, for which we investigate coding schemes incorporating wiretap coding and secret key agreements between the sender and the legitimate receiver. Two kinds of block Markov coding schemes are proposed. The first is a new coding scheme that uses backward decoding and the Wyner-Ziv coding, and the secret key is constructed from a lossy description of the CSI. The other is an extended version of an existing coding scheme for point-to-point wiretap channels with causal CSI. A numerical example shows that the achievable region given by the first coding scheme can be strictly larger than the second one. However, these two schemes do not outperform each other in general, and there exist some numerical examples in which each coding scheme achieves some rate pairs that cannot be achieved by another scheme. Our established inner bound reduces to some best-known results in the literature as special cases. We further investigate some capacity-achieving cases for state-dependent multiple access wiretap channels (SD-MAWCs) with degraded message sets. It turns out that the two coding schemes are both optimal in these cases. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

CNN-Based Multi-Output and Multi-Task Regression for Supershape Reconstruction from 3D Point Clouds

In a number of industries, including computer graphics, robotics, and medical imaging, three-dimensional reconstruction is essential. In this research, a CNN-based Multi-output and Multi-Task Regressor with deep learning capabilities is proposed for three-dimensional object reconstruction from 3D point cloud. Our approach is grounded in the original Point Net architecture, which addresses the difficulties associated with convolution when applied to point clouds. Firstly, this paper is modified using a Multi-Output Regressor to accurately recreate Super forms from 3D point clouds. Using this method, we first extract features from the 3D point cloud using Point Net. After that, a Multi-Output Regressor receives these data and uses them to anticipate the Super shape parameters needed to reconstruct the shape. Taking in the data, the Multi-Output Regressor retrieved characteristics from Point Net and simultaneously predicts several outcomes. Second, a Multi-Task Regressor is used to modify the Point Net. The network gains from the capacity to transfer knowledge from one task to another, improving the model's overall performance. The model would forecast the ten parameters needed to create the shape in the case of rebuilding Super shapes. The test findings were better than expected;they are intriguing in terms of prediction accuracy and cost, and they update the result by 80%, which is a good accomplishment for the study. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Many sophisticated cloud platforms are available to provide services such as storage and computation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, with the concerns about the semi-trusted nature of cloud platforms, data security and privacy have been gaining broad attention. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-assisted verifiable data sharing scheme (BAV-DSS) for IoT. The BAV-DSS features fine-grained access control, fast encryption, and outsourced decryption with verifiability. Specifically, with the application of ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE), flexible access control is enabled. Blockchain is employed to store public keys, generate account addresses, and perform data verification. Furthermore, the selective replayable chosen ciphertext attacks (sRCCA) security of BAV-DSS is proved, and the simulation results indicate that BAV-DSS obtains high efficiency and practicality compared to other schemes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Enhancing and Optimizing User-Machine Closed-Loop Co-Adaptation in Dynamic Myoelectric Interface

Co-adaptation interfaces, developed through user-machine collaboration, have the capacity to transform surface electromyography (sEMG) into control signals, thereby enabling external devices to facilitate or augment the sensory-motor capabilities of individuals with physical disabilities. However, the efficacy and reliability of myoelectric interfaces in untrained environments over extensive spatial range have not been thoroughly explored. We propose a user-machine closed-loop co-adaptation strategy, which consists of a multimodal progressive domain adversarial neural network (MPDANN), an augmented reality (AR) system and a scenario-based dynamic asymmetric training scheme. MPDANN employs both sEMG and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data using dual-domain adversarial training, with the aim of facilitating knowledge transfer and enabling multi-source domain adaptation. The AR system allows users to perform 10 holographic object repositioning tasks in a stereoscopic mixed reality environment using a virtual prosthesis represented as an extension of the residual limb. The scenario-based dynamic asymmetric training scheme, which employs incremental learning in MPDANN and incremental training in the AR system, enables the continuous updating and optimization of the system parameters. A group of non-disable participants and two amputees performed a five-day offline data collection in multiple limb position conditions and a five-day real-time holographic object manipulation task. The average completion rate for subjects utilizing MPDANN reached 83.37% ±2.50% on the final day, marking a significant improvement compared to the other groups. These findings provide a novel approach to designing myoelectric interfaces with cross-scene recognition through user-machine closed-loop co-adaptation. © 2025 IEEE.
