Due to the non-linearity in ozone(O_(3))formation,reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))may increase O_(3) *** the counteractive O_(3) response to NO_(x) reduction,overall impact of air pollution controls can be ambiguous when the assessments focus on the changes in pollutant *** this study,a risk-based method was used to gauge the net effect of air pollution controls on mortality risk in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)region during the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics(WOP).This mega-event presents a unique opportunity to investigate the efficacy of deep cuts in pollutant *** show that O_(3) concentrations greatly increased as nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))concentrations decreased in the *** to the active photochemical formations,O_(3) became the dominant pollutant that affected human health during the *** the substantial O_(3) increases,the health benefits of NO_(2) reductions overwhelmed the adverse health effects of O_(3) increases in most regions of the BTH(at 81 out of 112 stations).After considering the impacts of particulate matter,the integrated health risk of air pollution mixtures declined almost everywhere in the *** results underscore the great necessity of changing the assessment paradigm of pollution control from using concentration-based methods to using risk-based *** with the carbon neutrality policy,stringent control of NO_(x)emission from combustion sources is a promising way to achieve synergistic control solutions for air pollution and climate change.

In this paper, we propose a mixed-decoupled and compact quad-band linearly-polarized base station antenna. The design integrates two lower-band (LB) antennas operating in the 687-926 MHz and 1564-2644 MHz bands, and two upper-band (UB) antennas covering the 3304-3717 MHz and 4650-5017 MHz bands, all with excellent isolation. To minimize mutual coupling, we employ L-shaped parasitic branches, an array-antenna decoupling surface (ADS), and a frequency selective surface (FSS). This innovative approach addresses the challenges of integrating multiple frequency bands into a single compact system, providing a practical solution for modern base station applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Software vulnerability detection is a critical aspect of ensuring the security and reliability of software systems. However, traditional vulnerability detection approaches often have limitations due to the scarcity and need for more diversity in labeled data. This research introduces a novel approach to overcome these challenges by utilizing user-defined identifiers in the source code to generate counterfactual training data. User-defined identffiers, such as variable and function names, contain essential information about the intentions and logic of the program. By perturbing these identifiers while maintaining the syntactic and semantic structure of the code, we create a diverse set of counterfactual examples that simulate potential vulnerabilities. When combined with existing labeled data, these counterfactual examples enrich the training process for vulnerability detection models. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conduct experiments on various datasets, achieving state-of-the-art performance on the VulDeePecker and Draper datasets. Our approach also outperforms models that utilize the same pre-trained language model in terms of accuracy.

Conductive Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXenes have been widely investigated for the construction of flexible and highly-sensitive pressure *** the inevitable oxidation of solution-processed MXene has been recognized,the effect of the irreversible oxidation of MXene on its electrical conductivity and sensing properties is yet to be ***,we construct a highly-sensitive and degradable piezoresistive pressure sensor by coating Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene flakes with different degrees of in situ oxidation onto paper substrates using the dipping-drying *** situ oxidation can tune the intrinsic resistance and expand the interlayer distance of MXene *** partially oxidized MXene-based piezoresistive pressure sensor exhibits a high sensitivity of 28.43 kPa^(-1),which is greater than those of pristine MXene,over-oxidized MXene,and state-of-the-art paper-based pressure ***,these sensors exhibit a short response time of 98.3 ms,good durability over 5000 measurement cycles,and a low force detection limit of 0.8 ***,MXene-based sensing elements are easily degraded and environmentally *** MXene-based pressure sensor shows promise for practical applications in tracking body movements,sports coaching,remote health monitoring,and human–computer interactions.

From the beginning,the process of research and its publication is an ever-growing phenomenon and with the emergence of web technologies,its growth rate is *** a rough estimate,more than thirty thousand research journals have been issuing around four million papers annually on *** engines,indexing services,and digital libraries have been searching for such publications over the ***,getting the most relevant articles against the user requests is yet a *** is mainly because the articles are not appropriately indexed based on the hierarchies of granular subject *** overcome this issue,researchers are striving to investigate new techniques for the classification of the research articles especially,when the complete article text is not available(a case of nonopen access articles).The proposed study aims to investigate the multilabel classification over the available metadata in the best possible way and to assess,“to what extent metadata-based features can perform in contrast to content-based approaches.”In this regard,novel techniques for investigating multilabel classification have been proposed,developed,and evaluated on metadata such as the Title and Keywords of the *** proposed technique has been assessed for two diverse datasets,namely,from the Journal of universal computer science(***)and the benchmark dataset comprises of the articles published by the Association for computing machinery(ACM).The proposed technique yields encouraging results in contrast to the state-ofthe-art techniques in the literature.

Oxygen Vacancy-Driven Bandgap Tuning and Ultrafast Laser Performance in Bi2O2Se

Bi2O2Se, with its excellent air stability, high mobility, and tunable bandgap, shows great potential for photonic modulators. This study proposes vacancy engineering as an effective method to refine its optical properties and enhance the nonlinear response. The optical properties of Bi2O2Se modified by oxygen vacancy defects were systematically investigated through theoretical simulations and experimental methods. Oxygen vacancies enhance photon-material interactions by introducing intermediate energy levels, altering the electronic structure, reducing the bandgap, inducing a redshift in the linear absorption spectrum, and forming a new absorption band near 1 μm. Argon annealing increased the concentration of oxygen vacancies, and the experimental absorption spectra showed excellent agreement with theoretical predictions. To evaluate the impact of oxygen vacancies on the nonlinear optical response, Bi2O2Se before and after annealing was employed as a saturable absorber in Q-switched and mode-locked lasers. The annealed Bi2O2Se exhibited a 4.42-fold increase in peak power, a 115.9 fs reduction in pulse width, and a 2.36 nm expansion in 3 dB spectral width. These findings indicate that vacancy engineering is a direct and effective strategy for optimizing the nonlinear optical properties of Bi2O2Se, which can contribute to advanced photon applications. © 2025, The Authors. One-against-all-based Hellinger distance decision tree for multiclass imbalanced learning

Since traditional machine learning methods are sensitive to skewed distribution and do not consider the characteristics in multiclass imbalance problems,the skewed distribution of multiclass data poses a major challenge to machine learning *** tackle such issues,we propose a new splitting criterion of the decision tree based on the one-against-all-based Hellinger distance(OAHD).Two crucial elements are included in ***,the one-against-all scheme is integrated into the process of computing the Hellinger distance in OAHD,thereby extending the Hellinger distance decision tree to cope with the multiclass imbalance ***,for the multiclass imbalance problem,the distribution and the number of distinct classes are taken into account,and a modified Gini index is ***,we give theoretical proofs for the properties of OAHD,including skew insensitivity and the ability to seek a purer node in the decision ***,we collect 20 public real-world imbalanced data sets from the Knowledge Extraction based on Evolutionary Learning(KEEL)repository and the University of California,Irvine(UCI)*** and statistical results show that OAHD significantly improves the performance compared with the five other well-known decision trees in terms of Precision,F-measure,and multiclass area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(MAUC).Moreover,through statistical analysis,the Friedman and Nemenyi tests are used to prove the advantage of OAHD over the five other decision trees.

Extremum seeking (ES) is a real-time optimization strategy, thus transmission delays in the feedback loop of ES have big impact on its stability. How big delay that ES control systems are able to withstand? This paper tries to provide a potential answer to this problem. We extend a newly developed time-delay approach of ES from quadratic maps to general nonlinear maps under known constant transmission delays. The gradient-based ES in the case of single-variable and multivariable nonlinear static maps are considered. Different from the recent literature, the time-delay method in this paper is applicable to a big family of nonlinear static maps, and the robustness of ES control systems to transmission delays is investigated. By transforming the original ES system into a kind of time-delay system of neutral type, and further transforming the neutral system into a perturbed retarded system with constant delays, we provide simple Lyapunov-based sufficient conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to guarantee practical stability of the ES closed-loop system. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a parking slot detection algorithm based on a bird's eye view is proposed. A density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) clustering algorithm and template matching algorithm are fused to detect parking slots in a bird's eye view. Progressive probabilistic Hough line detection and an improved DBSCAN clustering algorithm is developed to locate the sidelines of parking slots. Then, template matching is provided to locate and classify the 'T shape' and 'L shape' marking points more accurately. Finally, the marking points and sidelines of parking slots are integrated to complete the parking slot detection. The recall rate and precision rate of experimental results are 74.4% and 92.0%. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
