Effects of CeO_(2)Content on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of ZK60 Mg Alloy

This study primarily investigates the effect of CeO_(2)content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZK60 Mg *** results indicate that CeO_(2)can be reduced by Mg to elemental Ce,predominantly in the form of the Mg-Zn-Ce *** addition of CeO_(2)notably refines the grain size of as-cast ZK60 Mg alloy,with the Mg-Zn-Ce phase primarily distributed along grain *** extrusion,grain size increases and then decreases with increasing CeO_(2)content,while the dynamic recrystallization(DRX)fraction gradually *** behavior is chiefly attributed to the hindrance of the DRX process by a high density of second phases and the restriction of recrystallized grains growth by fine *** basal texture intensity increases progressively with the addition of CeO_(2).As the CeO_(2)content rises,the yield strength(YS)and elongation(EL)of the alloys show significant *** increase in YS is mainly due to the combined effects of grain refinement strengthening and dispersion *** contrast,the enhanced EL is closely related to the heterogeneous structure of the ***,the ZK60-1.2CeO_(2)alloy exhibits the ultimate tensile strength,YS and EL of 274 MPa,160 MPa and 17.3%,respectively.

Adaptive VDI Session Placement via User Logoff Prediction

After the global pandemic,DaaS(desktop as a service)has become the first choice of many companies’remote working *** the desktops are usually deployed in the public cloud when using DaaS,customers are more cost-sensitive which boosts the requirement of proactive power *** researches in this area focus on virtual desktop infrastructure(VDI)session logon behavior modeling,but for the remote desktop service host(RDSH)-shared desktop pools,logoff optimization is also *** systems place sessions by round-robin or in a pre-defined order without considering their logoff ***,these approaches usually suffer from the situation that few left sessions prevent RDSH servers from being powered-off which introduces cost *** this paper,we propose session placement via adaptive user logoff prediction(SODA),an innovative compound model towards proactive RDSH session ***,an ensemble machine learning model that can predict session logoff time is combined with a statistical session placement bucket model to place RDSH sessions with similar logoff time in a more centralized manner on RDSH ***,the infrastructure cost-saving can be improved by reducing the resource waste introduced by those RDSH hosts with very few hanging sessions left for a long *** on real RDSH pool data demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed proactive session placement approach against existing static placement techniques.

The future sixth-generation(6G) paradigm aims to seamlessly integrate communication and environmental sensing capabilities into a single radio signal, promising improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness through simultaneous data communications and environmental perception. At the core of this evolution, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) and its advanced waveforms emerge as pivotal for integrated sensing and communications(ISAC). This study introduces a concise and unified ISAC waveform design framework based on orthogonal multicarriers. This framework supports versatile applications of OFDM and its derivative waveforms within a generalized ISAC system, marking a significant leap in integrating communication and sensing capabilities. A distinguishing feature of this framework is its adaptability,allowing users to intelligently select modulation strategies based on their specific environmental needs. This adaptability optimizes performance across diverse scenarios. Central to our innovations is the proposal of discrete Fourier transformspread OFDM with index modulation(DFT-S-OFDM-IM). This framework is paired with newly proposed signal processing methods for single-input single-output and multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) systems. Extensive evaluations highlight DFT-S-OFDM-IM's superiority, including dramatically reduced peak-to-average power ratios(PAPRs), competitive communication performance, and exceptional sensing capabilities, striking an elegant balance between communication capacity and environmental sensing precision.

Document-level event extraction faces numerous challenges in accurately modeling real-world financial scenarios, particularly due to the inadequacies in existing datasets regarding data scale and fine-grained annotations. The development of datasets is a crucial factor in driving research progress;therefore, we present a high-quality Chinese document-level event extraction dataset, CFinDEE. This dataset, grounded in real-world financial news, defines 22 event types and 116 argument roles, annotating 26,483 events and 107,096 event arguments. CFinDEE aims to address these shortcomings by providing more comprehensive annotations and data augmentation, offering richer resources for document-level event extraction in the financial domain. CFinDEE extends data both horizontally and vertically, where horizontal expansion enriches the types of financial events, enhancing the diversity of the dataset;vertical expansion, by increasing the scale of the data, effectively boosts the practical value of the dataset. Experiments conducted on multiple advanced models have validated the high applicability and effectiveness of the CFinDEE dataset for document-level event extraction tasks in the financial field. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Lightweight image super-resolution via an adaptive information fusion attention network

The Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have achieved outstanding performance in the field of Image Super-Resolution (SR). However, many existing methods focus excessively on increasing network depth, which leads to an excessive number of parameters and computational complexity. Some methods, aimed at reducing model capacity, significantly reduce the receptive field of the network, and employ a single upsampling method, resulting in suboptimal model performance. To better balance model size and performance, this paper proposes a lightweight Adaptive information Fusion Attention Network (AIFAN). Specifically, a Dual Path Block (DPB) is designed to adaptively aggregate multi-scale features from different paths through the Adaptive Path Fusion Block (APFB). To take full advantage of the hierarchical features, all DPBs are connected using a dense connection mode. Meanwhile, a receptive field attention (RFA) module is proposed to increase the receptive field of the network and force the network to pay attention to the region with more information in the feature. In addition, a hybrid up-sampling module is designed. The Adaptive Multi-scale Up-sampling (AMSU) module and Feature Update Up-sampling Block (FUUB) are combined in the module to obtain better reconstruction results. Network virtualization can effectively establish dedicated virtual networks to implement various network ***,the existing research works have some shortcomings,for example,although computing resource properties of individual nodes are considered,node storage properties and the network topology properties are usually ignored in Virtual Network(VN)modelling,which leads to the inaccurate measurement of node availability and *** addition,most static virtual network mapping methods allocate fixed resources to users during the entire life cycle,and the users’actual resource requirements vary with the workload,which results in resource allocation *** on the above analysis,in this paper,we propose a dynamic resource sharing virtual network mapping algorithm named NMA-PRS-VNE,first,we construct a new,more realistic network framework in which the properties of nodes include computing resources,storage resources and topology *** the node mapping process,three properties of the node are used to measure its mapping ***,we consider the resources of adjacent nodes and links instead of the traditional method of measuring the availability and priority of nodes by considering only the resource properties,so as to more accurately select the physical mapping nodes that meet the constraints and conditions and improve the success rate of subsequent link ***,we divide the resource requirements of Virtual Network Requests(VNRs)into basic subrequirements and variable sub-variable requirements to complete dynamic resource *** former represents monopolizing resource requirements by the VNRs,while the latter represents shared resources by many VNRs with the probability of occupying resources,where we keep a balance between resource sharing and collision among users by calculating the collision *** results show that the proposed NMAPRS-VNE can increase the average acceptance rate and network revenu

Gait Learning Reproduction for Quadruped Robots Based on Experience Evolution Proximal Policy Optimization

Bionic gait learning of quadruped robots based on reinforcement learning has become a hot research topic. The proximal policy optimization (PPO) algorithm has a low probability of learning a successful gait from scratch due to problems such as reward sparsity. To solve the problem, we propose a experience evolution proximal policy optimization (EEPPO) algorithm which integrates PPO with priori knowledge highlighting by evolutionary strategy. We use the successful trained samples as priori knowledge to guide the learning direction in order to increase the success probability of the learning algorithm. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed EEPPO algorithm, we have conducted simulation experiments of the quadruped robot gait learning task on Pybullet. Experimental results show that the central pattern generator based radial basis function (CPG-RBF) network and the policy network are simultaneously updated to achieve the quadruped robot’s bionic diagonal trot gait learning task using key information such as the robot’s speed, posture and joints information. Experimental comparison results with the traditional soft actor-critic (SAC) algorithm validate the superiority of the proposed EEPPO algorithm, which can learn a more stable diagonal trot gait in flat terrain. © 2023, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
