A substantial amount of the Indian economy depends solely on ***,on the other hand,plays a significant role in agriculture–while an adequate amount of rainfall can be considered as a blessing,if the amount is inordinate or scant,it can ruin the entire hard work of the *** this work,the rainfall dataset of the Vellore region,of Tamil Nadu,India,in the years 2021 and 2022 is forecasted using several machine learning *** engineering has been performed in this work in order to generate new features that remove all sorts of autocorrelation present in the *** removal of autocorrelation,the data could be used for performing operations on the time-series data,which otherwise could only be performed on any other regular regression *** work uses forecasting techniques like the AutoRegessive Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA)and exponential smoothening,and then the time-series data is further worked on using Long Short Term Memory(LSTM).Later,regression techniques are used by manipulating the *** work is benchmarked with several evaluation metrics on a test dataset,where XGBoost Regression technique outperformed the *** uniqueness of this work is that it forecasts the daily rainfall for the year 2021 and 2022 in Vellore *** work can be extended in the future to predict rainfall over a bigger region based on previously recorded time-series data,which can help the farmers and common people to plan accordingly and take precautionary measures.

Children's physical, mental and emotional development depends heavily on sleep, with age-specific sleep needs fluctuating. Malnutrition may result from eating too little, absorbing nutrients poorly, being unwell, living in poverty or not knowing enough about nutrition. Food allergies and iron insufficiency are two examples of illnesses whose onsets might differ depending on environmental exposures and genetics. By providing proper diet, getting medical attention when necessary and encouraging healthy behaviors, parents play a crucial role in supporting their children's health. For children to grow and develop properly, they need meals high in fruits, vegetables, milk, protein, calcium, iron and fiber. Key advantages of a balanced diet include aiding bone formation, improving heart health and encouraging regular bowel motions and digestion. In general, children's general health and wellness depend on caregivers being aware of their dietary requirements and giving them the proper attention. The findings of the research imply that machine learning algorithms may be useful in understanding and predicting the prevalence of malnutrition in children. Furthermore, these algorithms could provide perceptive data that might help politicians create effective policies. In this research, we make use of five different machine learning algorithms. With a decision tree, the accuracy is 0.92%, followed by svm which provides 0.91%, KNN, which provides 0.84%, GBM classifier, which provides 0.79% and random forest, which provides 0.65%. © 2025 IEEE.

This research tackles the challenge of video unsupervised domain adaptation (VUDA) in human action recognition, focusing on deploying models trained in well-lit conditions to poorly-lit environments. Current unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) techniques mitigate performance degradation by aligning source and target domains through adversarial training. However, these approaches fail to enhance low-light images, resulting in information loss and suboptimal performance in dark settings. To address this issue, we introduce Pseudo-Augmentation Entropy Domain Adaptation (PANDA), an entropy theory-based method that simultaneously complements unsupervised adversarial alignment by incorporating image enhancement as an auxiliary task. Evaluations on the HMDB-ARID datasets demonstrate that proposed PANDA outperforms standard VUDA baselines, boosting action recognition accuracy by an average of 6.3%. © 2024 IEEE.

To directly investigate the dynamic nanoscale phenomenon on the surface being processed in wet conditions such as precision polishing, and cleaning in semiconductor industrial, an optical method for visualization and observation of each sub-100 nm sized particle that is moving on an interface such as a silica glass surface by applying an evanescent field have been proposing. Subsequently, we developed an experimental apparatus equipped with an optical microscopy system for verifying the moving particle observation method in a laboratory scale. This article introduces some experimentally direct observation results of duplicated wet processes. © 2024 IEEE.

Particles in the atmosphere, such as dust and smoke, can cause visual clarity problems in both images and videos. Haze is the result of the interaction between airborne particles and light, which is scattered and attenuated. Hazy media present difficulties in a variety of applications due to the reduced contrast and loss of essential information. In response, dehazing techniques have been introduced to bring hazy videos and images back to clarity. Here, we provide a novel technique for eliminating haze. It comprises preprocessing steps before dehazing. Preprocessing is applied to hazy images through homomorphic processing and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). We present a dehazing technique referred to as the pre-trained Feature Fusion Attention Network (FFA-Net) that directly lets dehazed images be restored from hazy or preprocessed hazy inputs without requiring the determination of atmospheric factors, such as air light and transmission maps. The FFA-Net architecture incorporates a Feature Attention (FA) method to do this task. We assess the proposed technique in a variety of circumstances, including visible frames, Near-Infrared (NIR) frames, and real-world hazy images. Evaluation criteria like entropy, correlation, and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) are used to compare the quality of dehazed frames or images to their hazy counterparts. Furthermore, histogram analysis and spectral entropy are adopted to determine the effectiveness of the proposed technique in comparison to existing dehazing techniques. Comparative results are presented for both real-world and simulated environments. The benefits of the proposed technique are demonstrated by a comparison of the results obtained from the standalone pre-trained FFA-Net and the proposed comprehensive methodology. Moreover, a thorough assessment is carried out for comparing the effectiveness of the proposed FFA-Net technique to those of some current dehazing techniques on real hazy images. T

At the end of 2019, a global outbreak of a new coronavirus ravaged the world, and to this day, many people’s bodies are still deeply affected by the virus. In order to find out if there is a correlation between different levels of cancer diagnosis and healthy samples, and to further compare the differences between healthy samples and cancer samples, we have identified a significant set of genes that highlights the differences between the two samples. Therefore, we used statistics, immunology, and artificial intelligence to analyze the blood sampling data of cancer patients diagnosed with the new coronavirus during the diagnostic period, and compared them with healthy donors. We initially found that the proportion of significant cells in the two stem cell gene sets of the cancer samples was more than about two times greater than that of the healthy samples. Therefore, in the future, we will be able to further analyze the differences between the two samples and find out the key factors that can assist in medical diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Segment Anything Model (SAM) has recently gained much attention for its outstanding generalization to unseen data and tasks. Despite its promising prospect, the vulnerabilities of SAM, especially to universal adversarial perturbation (UAP) have not been thoroughly investigated yet. In this paper, we propose DarkSAM, the first prompt-free universal attack framework against SAM, including a semantic decoupling-based spatial attack and a texture distortion-based frequency attack. We first divide the output of SAM into foreground and background. Then, we design a shadow target strategy to obtain the semantic blueprint of the image as the attack target. DarkSAM is dedicated to fooling SAM by extracting and destroying crucial object features from images in both spatial and frequency domains. In the spatial domain, we disrupt the semantics of both the foreground and background in the image to confuse SAM. In the frequency domain, we further enhance the attack effectiveness by distorting the high-frequency components (i.e., texture information) of the image. Consequently, with a single UAP, DarkSAM renders SAM incapable of segmenting objects across diverse images with varying prompts. Experimental results on four datasets for SAM and its two variant models demonstrate the powerful attack capability and transferability of DarkSAM. Open innovation within an organization focuses on the dissemination of new knowledge among employees in different departmental units. When the willingness to share knowledge with colleagues increases, new knowledge dissemination can be achieved. Therefore, it is vital to understand which factors can influence knowledge flow in an organization. Human behavior is strongly influenced by internal and external motivations. The technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework can be considered an extrinsic motivation associated with the sharing behavior and the diffusion of new knowledge. Furthermore, individuals have innate psychological needs that support knowledge exchange, making them eager to interact with others. Based on the internal and external motivations and the TOE model, this study proposes an innovative and complete research model to explore the factors which affect open innovation capability within an organization. There were 217 responses to this research questionnaire from 600 organizations, and PLS was used to validate the model. Empirical findings indicate: (1) the importance of extrinsic motivation such as organizational culture and disruptive technology, having strong effects as intrinsic motivation like interactive desire is also concerned;(2) new knowledge diffusion has a significant effect on open innovation capability;(3) the moderating factor of individual absorptive capacity may strengthen the connection between new knowledge diffusion and open innovation capability. The results increase our understanding for what motivations actually drive new knowledge diffusion in transmitting open innovation capability in organizations. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
