Mobile devices within Fifth Generation(5G)networks,typically equipped with Android systems,serve as a bridge to connect digital gadgets such as global positioning system,mobile devices,and wireless routers,which are vital in facilitating end-user communication ***,the security of Android systems has been challenged by the sensitive data involved,leading to vulnerabilities in mobile devices used in 5G *** vulnerabilities expose mobile devices to cyber-attacks,primarily resulting from security ***-permission apps in Android can exploit these channels to access sensitive information,including user identities,login credentials,and geolocation *** such attack leverages"zero-permission"sensors like accelerometers and gyroscopes,enabling attackers to gather information about the smartphone's *** underscores the importance of fortifying mobile devices against potential future *** research focuses on a new recurrent neural network prediction model,which has proved highly effective for detecting side-channel attacks in mobile devices in 5G *** conducted state-of-the-art comparative studies to validate our experimental *** results demonstrate that even a small amount of training data can accurately recognize 37.5％of previously unseen user-typed ***,our tap detection mechanism achieves a 92％accuracy rate,a crucial factor for text *** findings have significant practical implications,as they reinforce mobile device security in 5G networks,enhancing user privacy,and data protection.

In ocean search and rescue missions, how to efficiently locate missing submersibles is a challenging problem. The distribution of submersibles may remain relatively stable in some periods of time, but it may also show dynamic changes due to changes in environmental conditions such as terrain, density of seawater and ocean currents. Affected by factors such as minerals, the density of seawater generally increases linearly with the increase of depth. The partial derivative and gradient differential methods are used to simulate and analyze different terrain when it has great influence on submersible. The speed of ocean currents decreases with depth, and submarine currents are usually slow and steady. Ocean current data set is collected for data preprocessing. A large amount of real data is helpful to determine the direction and speed of ocean currents in each region quantitatively, and then analyze the motion trajectory of submersible, which proves the reliability of theory applied in practice. Considering the uncertainty of submersible position over time, this paper proposes a path planning method combining greedy algorithm and grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm together, and discusses the cooperative working mechanism of multiple searchers. The greedy algorithm is used to plan the path of a single search submersible, and the grey wolf optimization algorithm is introduced when considering the joint search of multiple search submersibles. Each step of greedy algorithm is to select the current optimal solution and build the overall path to the local optimal. Through programming, a route with a success rate of about 91% was obtained, and the shortest path was calculated to be about 50,155.69 meters. The GWO is solved by simulating the hunting behavior of wolves, combining the obstacle avoidance strategy of the submersible and the multi-agent cooperative method. AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language

In the era of widespread Internet use and extensive social media interaction, the digital realm is accumulating vast amounts of unstructured text data. This unstructured data often contain undesirable information, necessitating time-consuming manual classification efforts. An intelligent text classification system capable of automatically categorizing digitized texts based on semantic meaning is crucial. However, this task is particularly challenging for low-resource languages like Bengali due to a shortage of annotated corpora, issues with out-of-vocabulary words, lack of domain-specific hyperparameter tuning, limited ability to extract generalized text features, and class imbalances within the corpus. AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language. AFuNet undergoes a comprehensive four-phase experimental process, including baseline model evaluation and hyperparameter tuning, late fusion and model selection, attention-based early fusion and model identification, and an ablation study with impact analysis. Fine-tuned based on five Bengali text classification corpora, AFuNet achieves impressive accuracies: 96.60 ± 0.2 (BTCC11), 85.37 ± 0.2 (OSBC), 97.35 ± 0.2 (BARD), 93.74 ± 0.2 (IndicNLP), and 96.51 ± 0.2 (ProthomAlo). In comparison with previous state-of-the-art models on these corpora, AFuNet demonstrates significant accuracy improvements ranging from 0.54% to 4.49%, showcasing its effectiveness in advancing text classification capabilities for the Bengali language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

BEDiff: denoising diffusion probabilistic models for building extraction

Accurately identifying building distribution from remote sensing images with complex background information is challenging. The emergence of diffusion models has prompted the innovative idea of employing the reverse denoising process to distill building distribution from these complex backgrounds. Building on this concept, we propose a novel framework, building extraction diffusion model(BEDiff), which meticulously refines the extraction of building footprints from remote sensing images in a stepwise fashion. Our approach begins with the design of booster guidance, a mechanism that extracts structural and semantic features from remote sensing images to serve as priors, thereby providing targeted guidance for the diffusion process. Additionally, we introduce a cross-feature fusion module(CFM) that bridges the semantic gap between different types of features, facilitating the integration of the attributes extracted by booster guidance into the diffusion process more effectively. Our proposed BEDiff marks the first application of diffusion models to the task of building extraction. Empirical evidence from extensive experiments on the Beijing building dataset demonstrates the superior performance of BEDiff, affirming its effectiveness and potential for enhancing the accuracy of building extraction in complex urban landscapes.

In recent years, research on terahertz metasurfaces has made significant progress and is evolving towards multifunctional integration. Traditional forward design methods have gradually exposed efficiency bottlenecks in multifunctional design due to their high computational complexity. The proposal of the inverse design paradigms has brought revolutionary breakthroughs in the design efficiency of multifunctional metasurfaces and greatly reduced the design threshold. As an efficient inverse design optimization algorithm, the gradient descent method can rapidly optimize a phase distribution driven by multi-objective tasks. However, the loss function in this traditional gradient descent (TGD) method only considers image loss, leading to large gradients between adjacent phases in the phase distribution, which in turn results in low efficiency of the metasurface. To address this issue, we propose a modified gradient descent (MGD) method. By introducing gradient loss, this method effectively enhances the smoothness of phase distribution. As simulation verification, we used the MGD method to design a geometric phase terahertz metasurface, successfully achieving nine-channel dispersive meta-holography, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the gradient loss term. We believe the proposed MGD method has broad application prospects in multifunctional metasurface design. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Zircon ceramics have potential applications in next-generation wireless communication because of their low permittivity and adjustable temperature coefficient at microwave ***,the vast challenge of realizing ultralow dielectric loss still ***,we propose a high-entropy strategy to enhance the bonding of the A-site dodecahedron in zircon and design(Nd_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Ho_(0.2)Yb_(0.2))VO_(4) ceramics with a high quality factor(high Q×f,that is,low dielectric loss).The(Nd_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Ho_(0.2)Yb_(0.2))VO_(4) high-entropy ceramics,which belong to the tetragonal zircon structure with the I4_(1)/amd space group,exhibit a low relative permittivity(ε_(r)=11.55),a negative temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(τ_(f)=−37.3 ppm/℃),and a high Q×f of 76,400 GHz(at 12.31 GHz).The high Q×f value can be attributed to the high chemical bond strength and structural ***,the relationship between the crystal structure and the microwave dielectric properties of(Nd_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Ho_(0.2)Yb_(0.2))VO_(4) high-entropy ceramics was analyzed through high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),Raman spectroscopy,far-infrared reflection spectroscopy,and chemical bond *** work provides an effective avenue for designing microwave dielectric materials with low loss to meet the demands of passive components.

Regional Sea Surface Skin Temperature Retrieval from HY-1C and HY-1D COCTS

Haiyang-1C (HY-1C) and Haiyang-1D (HY-1D) areChinese satellites for marine observation. They operationallywork to form the networking of morning and afternoon satellites,improving the capacity of coverage in the temporal and spatialdimensions. These satellites carry Chinese Ocean Color andTemperature Scanners (COCTS), containing two thermal bandswith central wavelengths of 10.8 and 12.0 μm and enabling seasurface temperature (SST) observations. Herein, regionalalgorithms for SST retrieval are developed for the South ChinaSea (SCS) by applying radiative transfer modeling. The SCS hasunique atmospheric conditions characterized by high temperatureand humidity, particularly in the central and southern *** profiles sufficient to represent the atmosphericconditions of the SCS are selected. The relationship between thetop-of-the-atmosphere simulated brightness temperature and thereanalysis skin SST of the selected profiles is determined. The HY-1C and HY-1D COCTS SSTs in the SCS are retrieved utilizing theobtained algorithm. The HY-1C/COCTS SSTs are evaluated usingthe Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer SST, and theHY-1D/COCTS SSTs are evaluated using the Visible InfraredImaging Radiometer Suite SST. For the HY-1C/1D COCTS SSTs,the biases are around 0, and the standard deviations are around0.5°C. The differences between the HY-1C and HY-1D COCTSSSTs are analyzed to further validate the accuracy of the retrievalmethod. The difference is 0.38°C during the day and 0.03°C atnight, which indicates a diurnal warming phenomenon in the SCS. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

Dynamic and Heterogeneous Identity-Based Cooperative Co-Evolution for Distributed Lot-Streaming Flowshop Scheduling Problem

In this research, a novel dynamic and heterogeneous identity based cooperative co-evolutionary algorithm (DHICCA) is proposed for addressing the distributed lot-streaming flowshop scheduling problem (DLSFSP) with the objective to minimize the makespan. A two-layer-vector representation is devised to bridge the solution space of DLSFSP and the search space of DHICCA. In the evolution of DHICCA, population individuals are endowed with heterogeneous identities according to their quality, including superior individuals, ordinary individuals, and inferior individuals, which serve local exploitation, global exploration, and diversified restart, respectively. Because individuals with different identities require different evolutionary mechanisms to fully unleash their respective potentials, identity-specific evolutionary operators are devised to evolve them in a cooperative co-evolutionary way. This is important to use limited population resources to solve complex optimization problems. Specifically, exploitation is carried out on superior individuals by devising three exploitative operators with different intensities based on techniques of variable neighborhood, destruction-construction, and gene targeting. Exploration is executed on ordinary individuals by a newly constructed discrete Jaya algorithm and a probability crossover strategy. In addition, restart is performed on inferior individuals to introduce new evolutionary individuals to the population. After the cooperative co-evolution, all individuals with different identities are merged as a population again, and their identities are dynamically adjusted by new evaluation. The influence of parameters on the algorithm is investigated based on design-of-experiment and comprehensive computational experiments are used to evaluate the performance of all algorithms. Self-Organised Sequential Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Closely Cooperation Tasks

Cooperative tasks are common in multi-agent systems, with closely cooperative tasks being a special case of this, where a change in the state of the environment requires multiple agents to perform a specific operation at the same time. Take a box-pushing task as an example, the box is heavy and requires multiple agents to push it simultaneously. Optimal actions in a closely cooperation task are correlated with the actions of other agents, which makes the individual optimal action potentially inconsistent with the group optimal action, which leads to more non-globally optimal Nash equilibrium policies in the problem. This makes it easier for the policy learned by reinforcement learning to fall into these locally optimal policies. In this letter, we propose a self-organised sequential multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm (SOS-MARL). We propose sequential decision-making to change the optimization objective of the agent's policy so that the learned policy tends to group optimal policies. And propose an automatic grouping mechanism to make the policy smoother for training and reasoning in large-scale agent environments. We decompose the joint action value factorization outside the group into a combination of each group action value, thus guiding the agents to improve their group policies in a fine-grained manner. We deployed scenarios in both simulated and real environments and compared SOS-MARL with various classical MARL algorithms on box-pushing tasks, demonstrating the state-of-the-art of our method. © 2016 IEEE.
