Building an Adaptive Cooperative Transmission Mechanism for Multimedia Convergence System

In people's daily lives, electronic mail, audio-visual media platforms, and communication software all have the need for file transmission. This article proposes a digital aggregation system with an adaptive collaborative transmission mechanism. By using traditional UDP and TCP transmission protocols, the file transmission method is adaptively adjusted based on the file type, file size, and network conditions of the device. Through these selection parameters, the file has the most suitable and optimized transmission and upload mode during the transmission process. This article proposes a transmission mode that combines transmission speed and file integrity, systematically examining the existing transmission environment and improving traditional transmission protocols. The communication protocol method proposed through this method is 2.5% faster than traditional transmission protocols for image file transmission. Compared to traditional transmission protocols, the transmission speed of audio files is 1.07% faster. Compared to traditional transmission protocols, video file transmission speed is 1.21% faster. This study adopts a collaborative communication transmission mechanism, which accelerates the transmission speed of multiple clients obtaining files from the server by 1.2% compared to a non-collaborative communication transmission mechanism. The client can still connect to the server at a slower time. This mechanism can accelerate download speed and make it easier to obtain files. Combining with the transmission platform, examining the environmental conditions of the device can be applied to optimize the transmission between servers and clients. In the context of Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS), the role of vehicle detection and classification is indispensable for streamlining transportation management, refining traffic control, and conducting in-depth accident analyses. However, the intricate task of accurately detecting multi-oriented vehicles in diverse scenarios remains a challenge, even with the advancements in ITS. Factors such as vehicle morphology, design, road conditions, structural details, and climatic variables provide a significant part in the detection. To address this, our study introduces an advanced YOLOv8n model, specifically the YOLOv8n-CGW, which is built upon pre-trained deep learning frameworks. This model is meticulously tailored to enhance the detection capabilities for multi-oriented vehicles. Comprehensive evaluations on esteemed datasets like MtV, MERGED, Custom dataset, DAWN, WEDGE, and UA-DETRAC underscore the superiority of our approach over existing models. Notably, our YOLOv8n-CGW model achieves a remarkable mAP of 83.3% and boasts a swift inference time of 0.0019s, setting a new benchmark in the domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The investigations of surface waves in the piezoelectric medium bring out great possibility in designing smart surface acoustic wave(SAW)*** is important to study the dispersion properties and manipulation mechanism of surface waves in the semi-infinite piezoelectric medium connected with periodic arrangement of shunting *** this study,the extended Stroh formalism is developed to theoretically analyze the dispersion relations of surface waves under different external *** band structures of both the Rayleigh wave and the Bleustein-Gulyaev(BG)wave can be determined and manipulated with proper electrical boundary ***,the electromechanical coupling effects on the band structures of surface waves are discussed to figure out the manipulation mechanism of adjusting electric *** results indicate that the proposed method can explain the propagation behaviors of surface waves under the periodic electrical boundary conditions,and can provide an important theoretical guidance for designing novel SAW devices and exploring extensive applications in practice.

In this paper, a hollow-core anti-resonant optical fibre containing a semi-elliptical nested tube is proposed, which has the characteristics of single-polarization, large bandwidth, single-mode and low confinement loss. By optimizing the structural design, the polarization extinction ratio (PER) of the fiber reaches 21,0183 at a wavelength of 1.55 μm, and the y-polarized fundamental mode loss is only 0.00086 dB/m. By changing the material and thickness of the semi-ellipsoidal nested tube, a large bandwidth of 280 nm was achieved in the wavelength range of 1.51-1.78 μm, with loss limited to less than 0.001 dB/m within the bandwidth range. The PER and higher-order mode extinction ratio of 4870, 1487, respectively. The loss remains below 0.01 dB/m when the bending radius exceeds 4.5 cm. Therefore, it is expected that this optical fiber can be used in optical devices such as fiber optic sensors, fiber optic lasers and fiber optic gyroscopes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

A Low Cost Triple-Node-Upset Self-Recoverable Latch Design for Nanoscale CMOS

Due to the constant reduction of semiconductor feature sizes, the charge sharing effect is getting worse. The occurrence probability of triple-node upset (TNU), which has a significant impact on the circuit’s reliability, is rising in nanoscale digital circuits. This paper proposes a low overhead and TNU self-recovery latch (TNU-SR) based on the 28 nm CMOS technology to efficiently tolerate TNU and reduce the power dissipation and latency of the latch. The latch design proposed in this article adopts stacked transistors to reduce sensitive nodes and area overhead. The TNU-SR latch uses clock gating and high-speed transfer path technology, resulting in low power dissipation and low delay. For simulation results, compared with existing latches, it can be known that the TNU-SR latch performs well in terms of delay, power consumption, and area, so it is a good choice for radiation-hardened design for space applications. In addition, compared with the latest TNU self-recovery latch (HLTNURL), the TNU-SR latch proposed in this paper reduces the Power-Area-Delay Product (PADP) metric by 111.13%. © 2001-2011 IEEE.

Road accidents are a significant global issue, with human error causing a substantial number of collisions. This emphasizes the need for advanced collision avoidance systems to improve road safety. In response, this study integrates object detection and distance estimation techniques to enhance vehicle safety. Utilizing recent iterations of the YOLO architecture—YOLOv6n, YOLOv8n, YOLOv9t, and YOLOv10n—the models were trained and evaluated on the KITTI dataset, a benchmark suite for driving applications. This research study provides a comparative analysis of these models, focusing on performance metrics such as precision, mean average precision, recall, and F1 score. A novel single-camera distance estimation method was also implemented to assess object proximity accurately. Among the evaluated models, YOLOv8n achieved the best results, with a F1 score of 0.74 and a mAP@0.5 of 0.782, demonstrating superior detection accuracy and reliability. Its swift convergence and low training losses make it well-suited for real-world use cases. While YOLOv9t and YOLOv10n also performed well, they were slightly less effective. The system enhances its capabilities by accurately estimating distances, which improves collision avoidance and road safety applications. Overall, YOLOv8n is the most efficient and reliable option for developing advanced safety features in vehicle systems. © 2025 IEEE.
