The phenomenon that user interests change dynamically over time is called user interest drift, which makes it difficult for recommendation systems to obtain users’ real interests. In order to better provide users with personalized services, it is very important to study recommendation methods that can be applied to user interest drift. However, the new interests of users are often very different from the interests that users have interacted with historically. It makes the correlation between the original user’s historical interaction and the user’s new interest very weak. Meanwhile, the information contained in user’s sessions is not enough to support the inference of the new interest, resulting in a serious decrease in model performance. To alleviate the above problem, we propose a bidirectional representation recommendation based on relevance information enhancement to solve user interest drift (RA-Bert). The model is based on Bert and uses bidirectional self-attention mechanism to represent user sessions. In this model, we design a relevance information enhancement module to adaptively capture the information associated with the user’s new interest from neighbors’ sessions. Then, we integrate the relevance information into user’s history sessions, which can effectively enhance the correlation between user’s history sessions and the new interest. Further, in order to effectively supplement the missing relevance information in users’ sessions, we design a new attention unit, which explicitly models the difference information between users and neighbors. Punctuation restoration in speech recognition has a wide range of application scenarios. Despite the widespread success of neural networks methods at performing punctuation restoration for English, there have been only limited attempts for Chinese punctuation restoration. Due to the differences between Chinese and English in terms of grammar and basic semantic units, existing methods for English is not suitable for Chinese punctuation restoration. To tackle this problem, we propose a hybrid model combining the kernel of Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). This model employs a flexible structure and special CNN design which can extract word-level features for Chinese language. We compared the performance of the hybrid model with five widely-used punctuation restoration models on the public dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that our hybrid model is simple and efficient. It outperforms other models and achieves an accuracy of 69.1%. © 2020 IEEE.

Different from the traditional recommendation system which regards a single item as an atomic unit, the purpose of bundle recommendation is to recommend a set of items to users. In recent years, some work often uses the model based on GNN to solve the bundle recommendation problem. However, compared with the traditional recommendation models, the GNN-based bundle recommendation has a more serious data sparse problem, which significantly reduces the performance of the model. Meanwhile, due to the lack of modeling ability of complex interactive information and dependent information, it is still far from enough to learn the representation of users and bundles. In view of the advantages of contrast learning in mining its own supervisory signals, we propose a model named Cross-level relational graph Contrastive Learning for Bundle Recommendation (CL 2 BRec). Different from previous contrastive learning methods, our method learns representations of users and bundles from multiple relational graphs of different levels through a crossview contrastive learning paradigm. Specifically, we regard the user-item/bundle graph as a local interaction relation view, the bundle-item graph as a local dependency relation view, and the user-bundle-item tripartite graph as a global structure view to build a cross-level bundle recommendation model. Extensive experiments conducted on two benchmark datasets demonstrate that CL 2 BRec outperforms the state-of-the-art methods by over 12.56% and 8.6%, respectively.

SNNs have achieved great attention in recent years as they contain neurons more like those in the brain and use spikes to encode and transmit information efficiently among neurons with lower energy consumption. A Retina-LGN-V1 structure-like spiking neuron network (RLVSL-SNN) is proposed in this paper. It is inspired by the structure of mammalian primary visual pathway, and simulates different biological structures of Retina, LGN and V1. Noise reduction circuit and light adaptation circuit are also simulated for enhancing the robustness of its extracted features. RLVSL-SNN is a bio-plausible neuron network as it has firing rates of neurons in each layer that are similar to those of biological experiments. Besides, a full-connected SNN (FC SNN) is implemented following RLVSL-SNN for classification to evaluate the extracted features. The additive spiking timing dependent plasticity (STDP) learning rules and the ANN-to-SNN conversion method are utilized to train RLVSL-SNN and FC SNN, respectively. The experiments on MNIST dataset have verified that RLVSL-SNN is comparable to AlexNet for classification by features from spikes.

Real-time, accurate and rapid detection of defects in nickel foam is a challenging task and plays a crucial role in the quality control of nickel foam production. Currently, research on deep learning-based industrial defect detection usually uses large neural network models to pursue high accuracy, ignoring model complexity and hardware requirements. In order to reduce the application cost, the Detection method of nickel foam foreign matter based on double-branch lightweight network is proposed. First, a lightweight backbone convolutional network is designed to extract features, which reduces computational complexity while effectively extracting features. Then, atrous convolution is used to further optimize the model accuracy, increasing the receptive field of the convolution without losing information, and ensuring the quality of the extracted features. Finally, we use a dual-branch structure for segmentation and classification to dynamically query the detection results of defects. The experimental results on the nickel foam defect dataset show that our model is able to achieve high detection accuracy and single-sheet detection rate, and has strong competitive accuracy and lower detection rate compared with state-of-the-art detectors amount of calculation. © 2022 IEEE.

DMSA: DYNAMIC MULTI-SCALE UNSUPERVISED SEMANTIC SEGMENTATION BASED ON ADAPTIVE AFFINITY

The proposed method in this paper proposes an end-to-end unsupervised semantic segmentation architecture DMSA based on four loss functions. The framework uses Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) module to enhance feature extraction. At the same time, a dynamic dilation strategy is designed to better capture multi-scale context information. Secondly, a Pixel-Adaptive Refinement (PAR) module is introduced, which can adaptively refine the initial pseudo labels after feature fusion to obtain high quality pseudo labels. Experiments show that the proposed DSMA framework is superior to the existing methods on the saliency dataset. On the COCO 80 dataset, the MIoU is improved by 2.0, and the accuracy is improved by 5.39. On the Pascal VOC 2012 Augmented dataset, the MIoU is improved by 4.9, and the accuracy is improved by 3.4. In addition, the convergence speed of the model is also greatly improved after the introduction of the PAR module. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In a Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA), reactor core temperatures can rise rapidly, leading to potential fuel damage and radioactive material release. This research presents a groundbreaking method that combines the power of Monte Carlo Sampling and Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to simulate and effectively address the challenging Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA) in nuclear reactors. In the event of a LOCA, reactor core temperatures can soar rapidly, posing a significant threat to fuel integrity and potentially leading to the release of radioactive materials. By leveraging the strengths of both Monte Carlo Sampling and PINNs, this approach aims to provide a comprehensive and accurate simulation framework for assessing and mitigating the consequences of such accidents. The method yields high prediction accuracy (MAE: 0.033, RMSE: 0.098, R2: 0.814) and demonstrates robustness through transfer learning, maintaining strong performance (MAE: 0.064, RMSE: 0.163, R 2 : 0.735).

Since data outsourcing poses privacy concerns with data leakage, searchable symmetric encryption (SSE) has emerged as a powerful solution that enables clients to perform query operations on encrypted data while preserving their privacy. Dynamic SSE schemes have been proposed to handle update operations. However, it is shown that updates might increase the risk of information leakage. Meanwhile, to meet the requirement of real-world applications, it is desirable to have the searchable encryption scheme which supports both multiple clients and multi-keyword queries. To address these issues, this paper proposes MMDSSE, a multi-client forward secure dynamic SSE scheme that supports multi-keyword queries. MMDSSE allows the clients narrow down the results by providing an arbitrary subset of the entire archive, and thus suitable for cloud storage environment. Security analysis and experimental evaluations show that MMDSSE is secure and efficient.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed the criticality of timely intervention in a situation exacerbated by a shortage in medical staff and equipment. Pain-level screening is the initial step toward identifying the severity of patient conditions. Automatic recognition of state and feelings help in identifying patient symptoms to take immediate adequate action and providing a patient-centric medical plan tailored to a patient's state. In this paper, we propose a framework for pain-level detection for deployment in the United Arab Emirates and assess its performance using the most used approaches in the literature. Our results show that a deployment of a pain-level deep learning detection framework is promising in identifying the pain level accurately.

Blockchain technology has piqued the interest of businesses of all types, while consistently improving and adapting to business requirements. Several blockchain platforms have emerged, making it challenging to select a suitable one for a specific type of business. This paper presents a classification of over one hundred blockchain platforms. We develop smart contracts for detecting healthcare insurance frauds using the top two blockchain platforms selected based on our proposed decision-making map approach which selects the top suitable platforms for healthcare insurance frauds detection application. Our classification shows that the largest percentage of platforms can be used for all types of application domains, the second biggest percentage for financial services, and a small number is to develop applications in specific domains. Our decision-making map and performance evaluations reveal that Hyperledger Fabric surpassed Neo in all metrics for detecting healthcare insurance frauds.
