The article puts forward a new formula of computing the popularity of the topics, which is based on the stream of the news on the internet. What's more, the features of the microblogs should be also considered and combined. The hot topics are sorted by the values of them, so the information of the topics is convenient and accurate to be acquired for the public. It is beneficial to the government to supervise the public opinion as well. The experiments are based on both news and the microblogs. Our system could figure out the value of the hot topics by the popularity among users, after that the topics will be sorted automatically. HOSTA is an in-house high-order CFD software that can simulate complex flows with complex geometries. Large scale high-order CFD simulations using HOSTA require massive HPC resources, thus motivating us to port it onto modern GPU accelerated supercomputers like Tianhe-1A. To achieve a greater speedup and fully tap the potential of Tianhe-1A, we collaborate CPU and GPU for HOSTA instead of using a naive GPU-only approach. We present multiple novel techniques to balance the loads between the store-poor GPU and the store-rich CPU, and overlap the collaborative computation and communication as far as possible. Taking CPU and GPU load balance into account, we improve the maximum simulation problem size per Tianhe-1A node for HOSTA by 2.3X, meanwhile the collaborative approach can improve the performance by around 45% compared to the GPU-only approach. Scalability tests show that HOSTA can achieve a parallel efficiency of above 60% on 1024 Tianhe-1A nodes. With our method, we have successfully simulated China's large civil airplane configuration C919 containing 150M grid cells. To our best knowledge, this is the first paper that reports a CPUGPU collaborative high-order accurate aerodynamic simulation result with such a complex grid geometry.

Improved algorithm for reconstructing singular connection in multi-block CFD applications

An improved algorithm is proposed for the reconstruction of singular connectivity from the available pairwise connections during preprocessing phase. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, an in-house computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code is used in which high-order finite-difference method for spatial discretization running on the Tianhe-1A supercomputer is employed. Test cases with a varied amount of mesh points are chosen, and the test results indicate that the improved singular connection reconstruction algorithm can achieve a speedup of 2000× at least when compared with the naive search method adopted in the former version of our code. Moreover, the parallel efficiency can benefit from the strategy of local communication based on the algorithm.

Regarding the non-negativity property of the magnitude spectrogram of speech signals, nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) has obtained promising performance for speech separation by independently learning a dictionary on the speech signals of each known speaker. However, traditional NM-F fails to represent the mixture signals accurately because the dictionaries for speakers are learned in the absence of mixture signals. In this paper, we propose a new transductive NMF algorithm (TNMF) to jointly learn a dictionary on both speech signals of each speaker and the mixture signals to be separated. Since TNMF learns a more descriptive dictionary by encoding the mixture signals than that learned by NMF, it significantly boosts the separation performance. Experiments results on a popular TIMIT dataset show that the proposed TNMF-based methods outperform traditional NMF-based methods for separating the monophonic mixtures of speech signals of known speakers.

With the rapid development of the Internet, the de facto inter-domain routing protocol, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), has become very vulnerable to many attacks. For this, several secure inter-domain protocols have been proposed, most of which are focus on addressing the issue of faking AS path, but cannot address other issues, such as violating routing policies, reachability attacks and so on. Based on the concept of identifier/locator split and routing isolation, we have proposed a secure identifier-based inter-domain Routing, SIR [1], which can provide control plane security without using the high overhead mechanism. Then, we here optimize SIR and propose another secure inter-domain routing, Optimized SIR (O-SIR), which introduces a checked path table and records the path which has been checked before in each AS. We present the simulations based on the real world datasets CAIDA and compare the performance between SIR and O-SIR by different deployments and different position of attacks. The results show that O-SIR can reduce 18%-45% communication cost of verifying paths with additional below 0.1% routing table size. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The key algorithm of parallel technology based on OpenMP is advanced to dispose the promoter data. The promoter data are intercepted from the upstream area of five plants sequences. The five plants contain Arabidopsis Thaliana, Soybean, Alfalfa, Rice and Beans. The processing includes disturbing the sequences in random, calculating the P value, selecting the significant motifs from the frequent motifs, labeling the sequence number and so on. The serial algorithm and the parallel algorithm are compared in the implementation procedure. The experimental result shows that the OpenMP parallel technology can effectively improve the efficiency of the promoter data analysis and processing. It is a realistic significance to the vast amounts of biological information data processing.

A class of non-uniformly sampling system is investigated, and the lifted state space model of non-uniformly sampled-data system is derived by using integration method. The corresponding transfer function model is further obtained. To solve the problem that there exist unknown mid-variables in information vectors of identification model, the auxiliary model technique is applied to replace the unknown system variables. The auxiliary models based instrumental variable identification algorithm of non-uniformly sampled-data system is presented. At last, a numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method is effective.

The Internetware" paradigm is fundamentally changing the traditional way of software development. More and more software projects are developed, maintained and shared on the Internet. However, a large quantity of heterogeneous software resources have not been organized in a reasonable and efficient way. Software feature is an ideal material to characterize software resources. The effectiveness of feature- related tasks will be greatly improved, if a multi-grained feature repository is available. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for organizing, analyzing and recommend- ing software features. Firstly, we construct a Hierarchical rEpository of Software feAture (HESA). Then, we mine the hidden affnities among the features and recommend relevant and high-quality features to stakeholders based on HESA. Finally, we conduct a user study to evaluate our approach quantitatively. The results show that HESA can organize software features in a more reasonable way compared to the traditional and the state-of-the-art approaches. The result of feature recommendation is effective and interesting. For its perception of unlimited resources and infinite scalability, Cloud Computing has emerged as a pervasive paradigm for hosting? data-centric applications in large computing infrastructures. The data produced by these applications are essentially sparse and wide and may change schema frequently, traditional relational data model is inappropriate for their data management. A new data model, called Sparse Wide Table, was introduced for this task. Unfortunately, we have to face many challenges in building the secondary index for Sparse Wide Table in cloud, as the distributed and column-oriented storage which eliminates a number of NULLs. In this study, we present a three-level index scheme for efficient data processing in the Cloud. Our approach can be summarized as follows. First, we build an index for each column by which the records can be rebuilt easily. Second, we build a bitmap index for each storage node which only indexes the data residing on the node. Third, we organize the storage nodes as a structured overlay and each node maintains a portion of the global index for the all different data. The global index is a bitmap index to indicate the node each data resides in. Finally, based on the three-level index scheme, some query algorithms are implemented. We conduct extensive experiments on a LAN and the results demonstrate that our indexing scheme is dynamic, efficient and scalable. © 2013 Asian Network for Scientific Information.

Nowadays, the demand for software resources on different granularity is becoming prominent in software engineering field. However, a large quantity of heterogeneous software resources have not been organized in a reasonable and efficient way. Software features, a kind of important knowledge for software reuse, are ideal materials to characterize software resources. Our preliminary study shows that the effectiveness of feature-related tasks, such as software resource retrieval and feature location, will be greatly improved, if a multi-grained feature repository is available. In this paper, we construct a Hierarchical rEpository of Software feAture (HESA), in which a novel hierarchical clustering approach is proposed. For a given domain, we first aggregate a large number of feature descriptions from multiple online software repositories. Then we cluster these descriptions into a flexible hierarchy by mining their hidden semantic structures. Finally, we implement an online search engine on HESA and conduct a user study to evaluate our approach quantitatively. The results show that HESA can organize software features in a more reasonable way compared to the classic and the state-of-the-art approaches.
