We propose a new four-dimensional orthant-symmetric 128-ary modulation format (4D-OS128) with a spectral efficiency of 7 bit/4D-sym. The proposed format fills the gap between polarization-multiplexed 8- and 16-ary quadrature-amplitude modulation (PM-8QAM and PM-16QAM). Numerical simulations show that 4D-OS128 outperforms two well-studied 4D geometrically-shaped modulation formats: 128SP-16QAM and 7b4D-2A8PSK by up to 0.65 dB for bit-interleaved coded modulation at the same spectral efficiency. These gains are experimentally demonstrated in a 11×233 Gbit/s wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transmission system operating at 5.95 bit/4D-sym over 6000 km and 9000 km for both EDFA-only and hybrid amplification scenarios, respectively. A reach increase of 15% is achieved with respect to 128-ary set-partitioning 16QAM. Furthermore, the proposed 4D-OS128 is also compared to D4 lattice-based constellation, 16QAM and probabilistically-shaped 16QAM with finite blocklength via simulation. © 2020, CC BY.

This study proposes a mathematical model and a technique for the electrodynamic analysis of a microstrip antenna with a chiral substrate based on the left-handed spirals. It describes the design of such an antenna and presents its impedance characteristics for various parameters. Due to the complementarity of RGB and thermal data, RGBT tracking has received more and more attention in recent years because it can effectively solve the degradation of tracking performance in dark environments and bad weather conditions. How to effectively fuse the information from RGB and thermal modality is the key to give full play to their complementarities for effective RGBT tracking. In this paper, we propose a high performance RGBT tracking framework based on a novel deep adaptive fusion network, named DAFNet. Our DAFNet consists of a recursive fusion chain that could adaptively integrate all layer features in an end-to-end manner. Due to simple yet effective operations in DAFNet, our tracker is able to reach the near-real-time speed. Comparing with the state-of-the-art trackers on two public datasets, our DAFNet tracker achieves the outstanding performance and yields a new state-of-the-art in RGBT tracking.

A group activity recognition algorithm is proposed to improve the recognition accuracy in video surveillance by using complex wavelet domain based Cayley-Klein metric ***-sampled dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform(NS-DTCWPT)is used to decompose the human images in videos into multi-scale and *** improved local binary pattern(ILBP)and an inner-distance shape context(IDSC)combined with bag-of-words model is adopted to extract the decomposed high and low frequency coefficient *** extracted coefficient features of the training samples are used to optimize Cayley-Klein metric matrix by solving a nonlinear optimization *** group activities in videos are recognized by using the method of feature extraction and Cayley-Klein metric *** results on behave video set,group activity video set,and self-built video set show that the proposed algorithm has higher recognition accuracy than the existing algorithms.

The accuracy of geolocation is crucial in the application of remote sensing images. However, the presence of inevitable measurement errors consisting of antenna phase center error, slant range error, and reference height error of ground target, will result in degraded the geolocation accuracy of imaged ground targets. To improve the accuracy of geolocation, the approach of geometric correction for spaceborne SAR image is investigated in this paper. The well-known database contained digital elevation model(DEM) and ICESat data are adopted to estimate and calibrate the aforementioned errors for improving the geolocation accuracy. Validation of the proposed method is demonstrated with GF3 SAR data and high-precision GPS device.

An improved reversible data hiding in encrypted images using parametric binary tree labeling

This work proposes an improved reversible data hiding scheme in encrypted images using parametric binary tree labeling(IPBTL-RDHEI), which takes advantage of the spatial correlation in the entire original image but not in small image blocks to reserve room for hiding data. Then the original image is encrypted with an encryption key and the parametric binary tree is used to label encrypted pixels into two different categories. Finally, one of the two categories of encrypted pixels can embed secret information by bit replacement. According to the experimental results, compared with several state-of-the-art methods, the proposed IPBTL-RDHEI method achieves higher embedding rate and outperforms the competitors. Due to the reversibility of IPBTL-RDHEI, the original plaintext image and the secret information can be restored and extracted losslessly and separately. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. As an important technology in artificial intelligence Granular Computing (GrC) has emerged as a new multi-disciplinary paradigm and received much attention in recent years. Information granules forming an abstract and efficient characterization of large volumes of numeric data have been considered as the fundamental constructs of GrC. By generating centroids (prototypes) and partition matrix, fuzzy clustering is a commonly encountered way of information granulation. As a reverse process of granulation, degranulation involves data reconstruction completed on a basis of the granular representatives (decoding information granules into numeric data). Previous studies have shown that there is a relationship between the reconstruction error and the performance of the granulation process. Typically, the lower the degranulation error is, the better performance of granulation process becomes. However, the existing methods of degranulation usually cannot restore the original numeric data, which is one of the important reasons behind the occurrence of the reconstruction error. To enhance the quality of reconstruction (degranulation), in this study, we develop an augmented scheme through modifying the partition matrix. By proposing the augmented scheme, we dwell on a novel collection of granulation-degranulation mechanisms. In the constructed approach, the prototypes can be expressed as the product of the dataset matrix and the partition matrix. Then, in the degranulation process, the reconstructed numeric data can be decomposed into the product of the partition matrix and the matrix of prototypes. Both the granulation and degranulation are regarded as generalized rotation between the data subspace and the prototype subspace with the partition matrix and the fuzzification factor. Coxibs are a group of drugs with selective inhibition against cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes with increased interest from scientific community due to their side effects and potential other pharmacological mechanisms. The aim of this work is to utilize the chemical characteristics of coxibs in order to identify compounds with similar chemical structure. The approach is based on the assessment of the Simplified Molecular-Input Line-Entry System (SMILES) as adequate molecular structure representations for the identification of drug similarities. The similarity measurements are based on molecular fingerprints that were extracted from coxibs and the Maximum Consecutive Subsequence (MCS) algorithm. An ensemble of methods based on majority voting, weighting and equal weighting on the algorithms was further applied. Majority voting returned 200 similar compounds whereas weighting and equal weighting returned 53 and 27 compounds respectively. Interestingly, despite the independence of the methods, all three identified 20 common compounds. The identification of drugs with potential chemical similarity with coxibs, as revealed from similarity measurements of fingerprints and MCS scores could provide new insights for potential biological targets for coxibs or drugs that could interact with COX-2 or other biological targets of coxibs.

Aiming at the problem that the detection probability of the moving platform using traditional detection method is low and even bad under low SNR condition.A weak target detection method based on spatial power spectrum map(SPS-MAP) is put *** with traditional cross direction finding method,this method omits the step in which the location is determined with the "post processed" SPS peak information and instead maps the SPS curve directly to the search grid to achieve the purpose of location as *** this thesis,the theoretical properties and computational complexity of the method are deduced and *** last,simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively detect targets in low SNR conditions.
