Optic Disk (OD) detection plays an important role for fundus image analysis. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for detecting OD mainly based on a classifier model trained by structured learning. Then we use the model to achieve the edge map of OD. Thresholding is performed on the edge map to obtain a binary image. Finally, circle Hough transform is carried out to approximate the boundary of OD by a circle. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated on the public database and obtained promising results. The results (an area overlap and Dices coefficients of 0.8636 and 0.9196, respectively, an accuracy of 0.9770, and a true positive and false positive fraction of 0.9212 and 0.0106) show that the proposed method is a robust tool for the segmentation of OD and is very competitive with the stage-of-the-art methods.

In this work, we use DCT transform and eigenfaces method to describe our facial dataset and to build a face recognition system using Kohonen self organizing map neural network classifier. Ascendant hierarchical classification is used to describe the efficiency of DCT transform. A Kohonen SOM neural network classifier is used to classify an individual from three face databases: The ORL, computer vision and Caltech databases. These data sets are used to illustrate the effect of variation of illumination, background and facial rotation. Our study demonstrates the efficiency of DCT without PCA reduction especially in controlled environment.

This paper investigates the secrecy capacity of a multi-antenna amplify-and-forward (AF) hybrid satellite-terrestrial relay netwrok (HSTRN), which consists of a satellite, a relay, a terrestrial destination and a terrestrial eavesdropper. Specifically, by employing a two-stage beamforming (BF) scheme, where the relay first adopts the maximal ratio combining (MRC) to receive the signal from satellite and then performs zero-forcing (ZF) to completely null the eavesdropper's signal, the achievable secrecy capacity of the considered hybrid network is derived in closed-from. Eventually, simulation results are provided to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed BF scheme as well as the validity of the theoretical results, and show the effect of various channel parameters on the system performance.

Least Square (LS) estimation is a simple but not good enough for localization method which is widely used for target position estimation. The time difference of arrival (TDOA) location based on LS method needs to select a reference sensor to obtain a series of equations. Thus, the measured error of the selected first sensor will certainly influence the location accuracy. In our article, an algorithm based on select the primary sensor is proposed, which selects the primary station according the residual. New algorithm improves performs better than conventional method in harsh environment. Based on graphene, this paper proposes a configuration of a bandwidth broadened pattern-reconfigurable antenna. The antenna is a monopole surrounded by a cylindrical graphene-based impedance surface coating, and the radiation pattern is dynamically controlled via graphene's field effect by applying adequate bias voltages. This antenna can work in the directional mode over the entire azimuth plane or omnidirectional mode;correspondingly, its relative bandwidth can reach 67% and 50% respectively by the coupling of graphene-based impedance surface coating.

The design and results of Ultra-wideband dual polarization bowtie antenna arrays with backed cavity is presented in this paper. A single-pole of the Array element is composed of ellipse mixed structure with triangle. Placing two cross dipole, the whole unit can realize the function of dual polarization. Adding a reflector and a director can increase bandwidth, the gain, also can improve high-frequency pattern. Antenna array consists of 12 elements. Elements layout according to the rectangular grid and the advantage of this structure is simple, easy to adjustment and also can realize the function of multiple-input multiple-output.
