The investigation of the optoelectronic characteristics of all-perovskite tandem solar cells holds pivotal significance in surpassing the Shockley-Queisser limit of single-junction perovskite solar cells. Initially, we established two distinct four-terminal tandem solar cells (4T TSCs) composed of different perovskite materials: FA0.8Cs0.2Pb(I0.7Br0.3)3 (Eg = 1.75 eV) and MASnI3 (Eg = 1.3 eV). Through numerical simulations of the optoelectronic characteristics of 4T TSCs, we evaluated the performance of the TSCs at varying perovskite layer thicknesses. Following optimization, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the 4T TSCs increased from the initial 30.34% to 33.54%. Through an in-depth analysis of the cell and energy distribution in TSCs, it was observed that the light-coupling layer significantly influenced the PCE of the 4T TSCs. Upon optimizing the light-coupling layer, the PCE of the TSC increased from the initial 30.34% to 34.7%. This study provides crucial theoretical and experimental foundations for optimizing the performance of all-perovskite TSCs. © 2024 IEEE.

Cognitive diagnosis models (CDMs) with high generalization are essential for intelligent education systems to reveal students' knowledge states in multiple datasets. However, existing CDMs' architectures are designed dependent on researcher expertise and experience from observing and summarizing partial students' learning behaviors, which makes handcrafted models not cover all learning behaviors well and thus limits their generalization. To develop generalized CDMs, this paper proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search to design CDMs' architectures effective on multiple datasets automatically. Specifically, we first formulate the search task as a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP), which maximizes model performance on multiple datasets containing learning behaviors as many as possible to ensure model generalization. Then, an expressive search space is devised to contain as many potential architectures as possible, where each architecture is denoted by a unified form, taking three given inputs and integrating them in a linear or no-linear manner for prediction. Finally, an evolutionary algorithm with a tailored deduplication strategy is employed to solve the MOP, where each architecture is further represented by a single-root computation tree for easy optimization. Experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate the generalization and effectiveness of the best architecture searched by the proposed approach, and the searched architecture also holds as good interpretability as handcrafted architectures. © 2023 IEEE.

Some sensors can only measure the angle of arrival of the signal, but the real position of the signal source is usually interesting. To obtain an accurate target position estimate, this paper studies the target tracking problem based on angle-only measurements in 3-Dimensional (3D) space. Firstly, the target position estimate is obtained by using weighted least-squares (WLS) algorithm, and the covariance matrix of the position estimate is calculated. Although this algorithm has low computational complexity, there is a bias problem due to the transformation of angle measurement equation from nonlinear to linear. To counter the bias, a bias compensation step is considered by estimating the correlation between the measurement matrix and noise vector. The classical Kalman filter (KF) is applied to the target position estimates before and after compensation. In numerical results, the performance advantages of the proposed bias compensation KF over the uncompensated algorithm and extended Kalman filter are verified. In addition, the impacts of angle measurement accuracy and sensor self-positioning accuracy are analyzed, indicating that the bias compensation Kalman filter can achieve high positioning performance with low computational cost. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. Phase-switched screens (PSS) has the characteristics of dynamic regulatory radar scattering direction, and traditional PSS can only analyze the reflection state under infinite large size without considering the angle scattering. Here we introduce the time modulation theory to PSS for corner scattering analysis, which can realize the frequency spectrum movement of the target stealth in radar-tar get-receiver chanel transmission. The simulation analysis can be realized without signal reflection at the center frequency by switching different array elements. When the opposite phase array reaches the opposite, the sidelobes of the diagonal diagram can be effectively suppressed.

With the progress of meta--atoms, digital coding technology has become an important branch of this research field with its advantage in establishing the connection between digital information and meta-atoms, which greatly simplifies the metaatom design. In this paper, a digital coding technique for harmonic generation and regulation is introduced. Firstly, the harmonic number is modified by changing the phase slope, and then the corresponding harmonic amplitude and phase are regulated by designing the coding control. The introduced digital coding technique gets rid of the problem of harmonic crosstalk existing in the traditional multi-frequency control technology, and at the same time make the beam control more flexible, which greatly improves the efficiency of communication.

Antenna design is usually a complex optimization problem. It usually includes two stages. The first stage is to formulate it as an optimization problem. And then the second stage is to design an algorithm to solve the optimization problem. This paper aims to design unequally spaced antenna arrays for direction-finding, which requires cooperation among direction-finding users, antenna designers and optimizers. The paper combines the direction finding array with the optimization design and analyzes how to construct a reasonable optimization problem from the practical optimization design problem construction stage which has been neglected. A multi-objective problem is constructed by taking the direction-finding performance as the optimization objective. The mutual coupling effect causes the design of array antennas to require electromagnetic simulation to ensure the reliability of the results, which is a very time-consuming and expensive problem. Gaussian regression model is introduced into the multi-objective optimization algorithm to construct inexpensive surrogate optimization problems that reduce the number of accurate simulation evaluations. The experimental results show that the designed array meets all the requirements with good robustness while the number of simulations required is less than that of previous methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In a distributed radar system, a signal fusion-based target detection algorithm can yield better detection performance compared to traditional decision fusion-based algorithm, thus has drawn considerable attention. In practice, however, signal fusion-based detection algorithm for distributed radar encounters two primary challenges: one is excessive communication cost and the other is difficult to fuse locally unregistered signals which is usually ignored by existing researches. To resolve these challenges, this paper presents a two-step signal registration algorithm with locally censored observations. Specifically, only local signals exceeding an initial threshold are sent to a fusion center for signal registration. At the first step of this algorithm, Mahalanobis Distance is employed as a metric to identify physically admissible observations, referred to as candidate observations. At the second step, the maximum likelihood estimation criterion is applied to eliminate potential false alarms among these candidate observations, thus determining the final set of registered observations for signal fusion. Numerical results indicate that the algorithm presented herein is capable of efficiently tackling the signal registration problem as well as alleviating communication burden. Furthermore, it achieves nearly lossless detection performance in comparison with its unregistered counterpart. This algorithm can be applied to practical engineering applications, since the simulation parameters are aligned with real radar scenarios.

In distributed radar, a local radar site may perform coherent accumulation for a better signal-to-noise (SNR) output and it is often unnecessary to transmit statistics in all Doppler channels to a fusion center (FC), if the probability that more than one target is present in a range cell is low. In this paper, we propose a low-communication-cost algorithm for distributed detection with locally coherent multi-pulse accumulation. Under the assumption that no more than one target is present in a range cell, we take the maximum of the test statistics over all Doppler channels to represent the presence of a target and then quantize the statistic maximum with the least squares quantization (LSQ) algorithm for a low communication bandwidth requirement. An optimal fusion rule based on the Neyman-Pearson (NP) criterion is formulated to make a global decision under a constant false alarm rate. Numerical results indicate that compared with traditional algorithm, the proposed algorithm with 3-bit LSQ quantization results in less than 0.5 dB SNR loss whereas the communication bandwidth is reduced by 99.71%.

Multi-source perception fusion positioning technology based on heterogeneous sensors is a key research area in the field of target positioning. The heterogeneous sensor positioning system composed of radar and infrared has a wide range of applications. However, existing works mostly use radar measurement to expand the dimension of infrared data to locate target, which will introduce the large angle measurement error of radar into infrared. In this paper, we propose a radar/infrared linear weighted least-squares (WLS) localization algorithm based on target motion model. First, we build linear equations of target position relative to radar and infrared based on the space relationship, respectively. In this manner, the position of target can be solved through a linear optimization problem. Two kinds of equations are combined by deformation and solved by WLS algorithm to achieve the target localization. Simulation results show that the proposed method has better target localization performance than that of single radar, and with the improvement of the measurement accuracy of radar/infrared sensors, the localization effect is better.

In this paper, the passive bistatic denial capability of waveform diverse array radar, such as multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar and frequency diverse array (FDA) radar, is analyzed. It is revealed that the anisotropic transmitted signals of those two radar illuminators result in a mismatch between the target echo received by the passive bistatic radar (PBR) system and the reference signal estimated from the direct-path signal, which indicates that those two radar illuminators can achieve passive bistatic denial. Then, the denial performance of those two radar illuminators is analyzed and compared. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the passive bistatic denial of MIMO radar and FDA radar.
