The standard minimum dispersion distortionless response (MDDR) beamformer can provide a performance improvement for non-Gaussian signals compared to the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamformer. However, the variety of the direction of the interference may have a great influence on the performance of the MDDR beamformer. To solve the problem, a robust beamformer with a broad null by linear programming is proposed for sub-Gaussian signals. Unlike the beamformers based on the minimum variance criterion, the proposed beamformer minimizes the $\ell_{p}$ -norm of the output and meanwhile constrains not only the target response to be unity, but also the average power of the interference's dynamic angular sector to zero. The resulting optimization problem is cast as a linear programming and hence can be solved efficiently. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method offers a significant performance improvement if the direction of the interference varies with time.

Target detection has been a hot topic in the field of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image analysis. In this paper, the one-stage object detector EfficientDet is applied in the SAR target detection. Since the labeled SAR data is limited and the SAR scene contains only a small number of target areas, the imbalance problem between positive and negative samples is serious in the network training process. To solve this problem, we introduce the Average-Precision Loss (AP-Loss) into the loss function of the class prediction net of EfficientDet. In addition, we integrate the binary indicator map obtained by the two-parameter constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection into EfficientDet to guide the generation process of anchors. The experimental results on the miniSAR data demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Designing a high-fidelity cutting device is one of the difficulties in hydrate samples pressure-holding *** to the limitations of the existing mechanical system,there is much damage to the cut surface of hydrate samples,with many chips produced,which seriously affects the quality of *** this paper,a new cutting device utilizes two servo motors to achieve a high degree of *** the Archimedes spiral,it achieves low disturbance of the cut surface and provides accurate control of the *** addition,due to the operation of the sample long-stroke push unit,cutting hydrate samples of any length with almost no chips within a short cutting time can be *** and sea tests have achieved all design requirements of the equipment and strongly demonstrate its benefit and *** is concluded that this new high-fidelity cutting technology is practically *** physical state of the hydrate can be maintained to the greatest extent,and thus the new equipment provides significant support for the exploration and development of hydrate resources.

Transformer RGBT Tracking with Spatio-Temporal Multimodal Tokens

Many RGBT tracking researches primarily focus on modal fusion design, while overlooking the effective handling of target appearance changes. While some approaches have introduced historical frames or fuse and replace initial templates to incorporate temporal information, they have the risk of disrupting the original target appearance and accumulating errors over time. To alleviate these limitations, we propose a novel Transformer RGBT tracking approach, which mixes spatio-temporal multimodal tokens from the static multimodal templates and multimodal search regions in Transformer to handle target appearance changes, for robust RGBT tracking. We introduce independent dynamic template tokens to interact with the search region, embedding temporal information to address appearance changes, while also retaining the involvement of the initial static template tokens in the joint feature extraction process to ensure the preservation of the original reliable target appearance information that prevent deviations from the target appearance caused by traditional temporal updates. We also use attention mechanisms to enhance the target features of multimodal template tokens by incorporating supplementary modal cues, and make the multimodal search region tokens interact with multimodal dynamic template tokens via attention mechanisms, which facilitates the conveyance of multimodal-enhanced target change information. Our module is inserted into the transformer backbone network and inherits joint feature extraction, search-template matching, and cross-modal interaction. Extensive experiments on three RGBT benchmark datasets show that the proposed approach maintains competitive performance compared to other state-of-the-art tracking algorithms while running at 39.1 FPS. In this paper, the potential of applying synthetic aperture radar (SAR) in automotive filed has been demonstrated by using a vehicle-mounted 77GHz Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar. An improved Range Doppler Algorithm (RDA), which is ideal for focusing serious range curvatures of targets at short ranges, has been presented in this work to produce high-resolution SAR images of automotive scenarios. The first part of this paper gives a detailed model of vehicle-mounted SAR system and the problems caused by the unique characteristics of model has been analyzed. In the latter part, the processing flow of the proposed novel RD algorithm based on range partition is presented, which, compared to the traditional RD algorithm, performs well in automotive SAR imaging. The imaging result of real scene is presented to validate the proposed method.

In colocated Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radars, phase coded waveform design is an important issue and in real applications, a raised cosine filter is typically used to avoid frequency-domain signal mutual interference, which however is rarely considered in existing waveform design algorithms. In this paper, we design MIMO radar transmit waveforms with optimized raised cosine filters to advance real application of MIMO radar waveforms. A waveform optimization criterion is formulated with the filter, which aims at suppressing auto and mutual correlation sidelobes and the mismatch to a desired transmit beampattern. Numerical results with transmit beampattern with two equal peaks are presented, indicating that waveforms with good sidelobes and close to the desired transmit beampattern can be achieved even with this filter. The Doppler sensitivity of this waveform is also studied.

In this paper, a novel transmit antenna selection (TAS) scheme is conceived for spatial modulation multiple-input multiple-output (SM-MIMO) systems, in order to reduce the search complexity. Compared to the existing TAS schemes, the proposed scheme shows a similar performance to optimal one with lower complexity, by exploring an efficient pruning algorithm for tree search based on a combined criterion. Simulation result indicates that the proposed scheme is capable of balancing the transmission performance and search complexity. © 2020 IEEE.

In this paper, we describe a frame-interleaving hardware architecture for a generalized node-based successive cancellation list (SCL) decoder. By efficiently reusing otherwise idle computational units, two independent frames can be decoded simultaneously, resulting in a significant throughput gain. Based on this new architecture, we also exploit graph ensembles to diversify the decoding, enhancing the error-correcting performance by 0.28 dB and reducing the worst-case latency for serial graph processing by over 32%. Implementation results show that the proposed SCL decoder with frame-interleaving architecture achieves a throughput of 7.15 Gbps and an area efficiency of 37.63 Gbps/mm 2 , which is 1.56× and 1.11× better than the state-of-the-art node-based SCL decoders.

For airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging with extremely large illuminate elevation angle, the influence of range variant envelope error and phase modulations will be more serious, and traditional two-step motion compensation (MoCo) fail to image accurately. To solve this problem, a new MoCo approach is proposed to improve the imaging quality of this situation. The real data experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Rethinking the Up-Sampling Operations in CNN-based Generative Network for Generalizable Deepfake Detection

Recently, the proliferation of highly realistic synthetic images, facilitated through a variety of GANs and Diffusions, has significantly heightened the susceptibility to misuse. While the primary focus of deepfake detection has traditionally centered on the design of detection algorithms, an investigative inquiry into the generator architectures has remained conspicuously absent in recent years. This paper contributes to this lacuna by rethinking the architectures of CNN-based generator, thereby establishing a generalized representation of synthetic artifacts. Our findings illuminate that the up-sampling operator can, beyond frequency-based artifacts, produce generalized forgery artifacts. In particular, the local interdependence among image pixels caused by upsampling operators is significantly demonstrated in synthetic images generated by GAN or diffusion. Building upon this observation, we introduce the concept of Neighboring Pixel Relationships(NPR) as a means to capture and characterize the generalized structural artifacts stemming from up-sampling operations. A comprehensive analysis is conducted on an open-world dataset, comprising samples generated by 28 distinct generative models. This analysis culminates in the establishment of a novel state-of-the-art performance, showcasing a remarkable 11.6% improvement over existing methods.
