In this study,a human-sensitive frequency band vibration isolator(HFBVI)with quasi-zero stiffness(QZS)characteristics for heavy-duty truck seats is designed to improve the comfort of heavy-duty truck drivers on uneven ***,the analytical expressions for the force and displacement of the HFBVI are derived with the Lagrange equation and d'Alembert's principle,and are validated through the prototype restoring force ***,the harmonic balance method(HBM)is used to obtain the dynamic responses under harmonic excitation,and further the influence of pre-stretching on the dynamic characteristics and transmissibility is ***,the experimental prototype of the HFBVI is fabricated,and vibration experiments are conducted under harmonic excitation to verify the vibration isolation performance(VIP)of the proposed vibration *** experimental results indicate that the HFBVI can effectively suppress the frequency band(4-8 Hz)to which the human body is sensitive to vertical *** addition,under real random road spectrum excitation,the HFBVI can achieve low-frequency vibration isolation close to 2 Hz,providing new prospects for ensuring the health of heavy-duty truck drivers.

Thermochemical non-equilibrium flow characteristics of high Mach number inlet in a wide operation range

The high-temperature non-equilibrium effect is a novel and significant issue in the flows over a high Mach number(above Mach 8)air-breathing ***,this study attempts to investigate the high-temperature non-equilibrium flows of a curved compression two-dimensional scramjet inlet at Mach 8 to 12 utilizing the two-dimensional non-equilibrium RANS ***,the thermochemical non-equilibrium gas model can predict the actual high-temperature flows,and the numerical results of the other four thermochemical gas models are only used for comparative ***,the thermochemical non-equilibrium flow fields and work performance of the inlet at Mach 8 to 12 are ***,the influences of high-temperature non-equilibrium effects on the starting characteristics of the inlet are *** results reveal that a large separation bubble caused by the cowl shock/lower wall boundary layer interaction appears upstream of the shoulder,at Mach *** separation zone size is smaller,and its location is closer to the downstream area while the thermal process changes from frozen to non-equilibrium and then to *** the increase of inflow Mach number,the thermochemical non-equilibrium effects in the whole inlet flow field gradually strengthen,so their influences on the overall work performance of the high Mach number inlet are more *** vibrational relaxation or thermal non-equilibrium effects can yield more visible influences on the inlet performance than the chemical non-equilibrium *** inlet in the thermochemical non-equilibrium flow can restart more easily than that in the thermochemical frozen *** work should provide a basis for the design and starting ability prediction of the high Mach number inlet in the wide operation range.

To quantitatively estimate the workability of cement-based grouting material,from the perspective of rheology,the result of the static yield stress evaluated using the rate-controlled and stress-controlled modes,respectively,was compared using the Rheowin ***,the correlation of workability and solid concentration of slurry with static yield stress was *** show that the static yield stress of cement-based grouting slurry relates to the established slurry structure,and is the shear stress corresponding to the transformation of elastics to plastics;In rate-controlled mode,the static yield stress of the slurry is related to the shear *** higher the shear rate,the greater the yield stress of the *** the stress-controlled mode,the result is more accurate and suitable for testing static yield stress under different water-cement *** the water-cement ratio has a good correspondence with the static yield stress and the static yield stress has a good correspondence with the slump flow of the slurry,the static yield stress is the minimum stress to be overcome when the slurry begins to flow and it reflects the yield behavior and structural stability of the cement.

Computational simulation is an important technical means in research of nuclear fuel *** nuclear fuel issues are inherently multi-scopic,it is imperative to study them with multi-scale simulation *** present,the development of multi-scale simulation for nuclear fuel materials calls for a more systematic approach,in which lies the main purpose of this *** most important thing in multi-scale simulation is to accurately formulate the goals to be achieved and the types of methods to be *** this regard,we first summarize the basic principles and applicability of the simulation methods which are commonly used in nuclear fuel research and are based on different scales ranging from micro to macro,***-Principles(FP),Molecular Dynamics(MD),Kinetic Monte Carlo(KMC),Phase Field(PF),Rate Theory(RT),and Finite Element Method(FEM).And then we discuss the major material issues in this field,also ranging from micro-scale to macro-scale and covering both pellets and claddings,with emphasis on what simulation method would be most suitable for solving each of the ***,we give our prospective analysis and understanding about the feasible ways of multi-scale integration and relevant handicaps and challenges.

Wastewater-based epidemiology(WBE) has exhibited great utility in the early and rapid identification of SARS-C ***,the efficacy of wastewater surveillance under China' s previous strict epidemic prevention policy remains to be *** collected the WBE data of wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) in the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen and several communities to determine the significant effectiveness of routine wastewater surveillance in monitoring the local spread of SARS-C oV-2under tight containment of the *** results of 1 month of continuous wastewater surveillance showed that positive signals for SARS-C oV-2 RNA were detected in the wastewater samples,and a significant positive correlation was observed between the virus concentration and the number of daily *** addition,the community' s domestic wastewater surveillance results were confirmed even 3 days before,or simultaneously with,the infected patient being confirmed as having the ***,an automated sewage virus detection robot,ShenNong No.l robot,was developed,showing a high degree of agreement with experimental data,offering the possibility of large-scale multi-point ***,our results illustrated the clear indicative role of wastewater surveillance in combating COVID-19 and provided a practical basis for rapidly expanding the feasibility and value of routine wastewater surveillance for future emerging infectious diseases.

There have been many studies exploring the perception of the acoustic environment in older adults, but do blind older adults make a difference? This study conducted a subjective evaluation of the acoustic environment in an all-blind nursing home in China, investigating acoustic comfort and sound preference for different types of sound sources. The study found that 36.7% of the blind older adults were highly satisfied with the acoustic environment in nursing homes;blind older adults preferred natural sound and informational sounds and were more receptive and dependent on artificial sounds than others;the results indicated that blind older adults with light perception were more sensitive to sound and preferred an audible environment than blind older adults with no light perception, and they needed the feeling of having someone around them. This study may help nursing homes to provide environmental support for blind older adults. © ICA *** rights reserved

The coupling between electric ordering and magnetic ordering in two-dimensional(2D)materials is important for both fundamental research of 2D multiferroics and future development of magnetism-based information storage and ***,we introduce a scheme for realizing a magnetic phase transition through the transition of electric *** take CuMoP_(2)S_(6) monolayer as an example,which is a member of the large 2D transition-metal chalcogen-phosphates *** on first-principles calculations,we find that it is a multiferroic with unprecedented characters,namely,it exhibits two different phases:an antiferroelectric-antiferromagnetic phase and a ferroelectric-ferromagnetic phase,in which the electric and magnetic orderings are strongly ***,the electric polarization is out-of-plane,so the magnetism can be readily switched by using the gate electric *** finding reveals a series of 2D multiferroics with special magnetoelectric coupling,which hold great promise for experimental realization and practical applications.

Corrosive Effect on Saturated Pool Boiling Heat Transfer Characteristics of Metallic Surfaces with Hierarchical Micro/Nano Structures

Surface modification is of critical interest to enhance boiling heat transfer in terms of heat transfer coefficient or critical heat flux (CHF), which is significantly affected by distinct surface morphology and wettability and it can improve the efficiency and safety of equipment. Furthermore, actual service environment may cause severe corrosion to the processed structured surfaces while its consequence on boiling heat transfer is still obscure. In this research, comprehensive researches are conducted to unravel corrosive effect on metallic samples made of stainless steel (SS) and Inconel materials with microstructures. Different constructions (i.e., microgroove, microcavity and micropillar array) and characteristic dimensions (~20, 50 μm) of microstructure, various duration time (up to 300 days) and pH values (~7.0 to 8.5) of corrosive environment are compared thoroughly. Conclusions can be drawn that not all microstructures can enhance pool boiling heat transfer characteristics, especially in terms of CHF values. More importantly, CHF value of SS microgroove sample firstly increases from 60.94 to 94.09 W·cm-2 in 50 days, then decreases to 47.77 W·cm-2 in 300 days, which can be attributed to competition result between formation of hierarchical micro/nano structure with enhancing wicking capability and chemistry condition with increasing contact angle. In addition, distinct bubble dynamics during pool boiling is also analyzed. The insights obtained from this article can be used to guide surface modification method and to reveal evolvement rule of engineered metallic surface in highly corrosive and harsh boiling heating transfer environment. © 2023, The Authors. Creep Behavior of a Novel Ods Ferrite Steel Reinforced with Ultra-Fine Y2(Zr0.6, Ti0.4)2O7 Particles

Oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) ferrite steel is a competitive candidate structural material for the Generation IV fission reactors. In this work, a novel ODS ferrite steel reinforced with ultra-fine Y2(Zr0.6, Ti0.4)2O7 particles was prepared by powder metallurgy method, which exhibit superior mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. Creep tested of the ODS ferrite steel at 800 ℃ was conducted to reveal its high-temperature creep failure mechanism. This ODS steel has an average grain size of 1.31 μm, and the mean size and number density of the ultra-fine oxide particles are 5.48 nm and 4.85×1023 m-3, respectively. When the apply creep stress is 100 MPa, the creep rupture time of the ODS steel is 2448.5 h, and the minimum creep rate is only 1.05×10-7 s-1. Under the similar creep stress at 800 ℃, the creep rate of this ODS steel is at least one order of magnitude lower than that of other typical ODS steels reported in the literatures, showing excellent creep properties. By fitting the data of minimum creep rate, apply stress and effective stress normalized by shear modulus, the creep threshold stress of the ODS steel was determined as 56.2 MPa, and the true stress exponent was calculated as 4.5 ± 1.0, which indicates that the creep mechanism is dominated by dislocation. Orowan bypass mechanism and dislocation climb over the particle mechanism play a major role in this dislocation mediated creep behavior. Due to the strong hindering effect of dislocation motion caused by the ultra-fine and dispersed Y2(Zr0.6, Ti0.4)2O7 particles, the novel ODS ferrite steel thereby achieved excellent creep properties. © 2024, The Authors. Study on flow modes of open natural circulation with low height difference under low power conditions

Open natural circulation systems are widely applied in the field of energy and chemical industries. Under some special conditions, open natural circulation systems with low height difference need to be applied, but research on this type of systems is not sufficient. In this paper, the flow modes of sucha natural circulation system were experimentally studied at low power level by adopting steam heating. In addition, the flow modes and physical phenomena of the natural circulation system were analyzed in detail under different heating power conditions. It is found that there are four flow modes at different power levels in the natural circulation system due to the influence of non-condensable gas and subcooled boiling. The inlet and outlet temperatures of heating section are analyzed in different flow modes. The result shows that the outlet temperature of heating section can be used as a judgment criterion for different flow modes. © 2019
