Surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)platform,which enables trace analyte detection,has important application *** structuring/modifying the surface of the SERSsubstrate,analyte in highly diluted solutions can be concentrated into localized active areas for highly sensitive ***,subject to the difficulty of the fabrication process,itremains challenging to balance hot-spot construction and the concentration capacity of analyte ***,preparing SERS substrates with densely ordered hot spots andefficient concentration capacity is of great significance for highly sensitive ***,we propose an Ag and fluoroalkyl-modified hierarchical armour substrate(Ag/F-HA),which has a double-layer stacking design to combine analyte concentration with hotspot *** microarmour structure is fabricated by femtosecond-laser processing to serve as asuperhydrophobic and low-adhesive surface to concentrate analyte,while the anodic aluminium oxide(AAO)template creates a nanopillar array serving as dense and ordered hot *** the synergistic action of hot spots and analyte concentration,Ag/F-HA achieves a detectionlimit down to 10^(-7)M doxorubicin(DOX)molecules with a RSD of 7.69%.Additionally,Ag/F-HA exhibits excellent robustness to resist external disturbances such as liquid splash or *** on our strategy,SERS substrates with directional analyte concentrations are further explored by patterning microcone arrays with *** work opens a way to the realistic implementation of SERS in diverse scenarios.

A Surrogate-Assisted Evolutionary Framework for Expensive Multitask Optimization Problems

This paper proposes a surrogate-assisted evolutionary framework (called SELF) to solve expensive multitask optimization problems (ExMTOPs). SELF consists of two main phases: global knowledge transfer phase and local knowledge transfer phase. In the former, a multitask Gaussian process model (MTGP) is established by fusing previously evaluated solutions of multiple optimization tasks. MTGP can capture task-relevant information and the knowledge of landscapes. Then, differential evolution assisted with MTGP is proposed to preselect high-quality candidates. During the preselection, the knowledge of landscapes is transferred among multiple optimization tasks for locating promising regions quickly. In the latter, for each optimization task, Bayesian optimization is adopted to improve the quality of the best individual in the population. Moreover, the improved best individuals in the populations of multiple optimization tasks are adaptively transferred based on a transfer probability, which is computed through the task-relevant information provided by MTGP. By combining these two phases, SELF not only achieves the tradeoff between exploration and exploitation, but also utilizes the global and local knowledge transfer to improve the efficiency for solving ExMTOPs. We test SELF on seven benchmark test problems in the IEEE CEC2017 evolutionary multitask optimization competition. The results demonstrate that the performance of SELF is better than that of other seven advanced methods. In addition, we also apply SELF to deal with two real-world ExMTOPs. The designs provided by SELF exhibit the best performance among all the compared methods, verifying the potential of SELF in practical engineering applications. IEEE

Avatars, as promising digital representations and service assistants of users in Metaverses, can enable drivers and passengers to immerse themselves in 3D virtual services and spaces of UAV-assisted vehicular Metaverses. However, avatar tasks include a multitude of human-to-avatar and avatar-to-avatar interactive applications, e.g., augmented reality navigation,which consumes intensive computing resources. It is inefficient and impractical for vehicles to process avatar tasks locally. Fortunately, migrating avatar tasks to the nearest roadside units(RSU)or unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) for execution is a promising solution to decrease computation overhead and reduce task processing latency, while the high mobility of vehicles brings challenges for vehicles to independently perform avatar migration decisions depending on current and future vehicle status. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel avatar task migration system based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL) to execute immersive vehicular avatar tasks dynamically. Specifically, we first formulate the problem of avatar task migration from vehicles to RSUs/UAVs as a partially observable Markov decision process that can be solved by MADRL algorithms. We then design the multi-agent proximal policy optimization(MAPPO) approach as the MADRL algorithm for the avatar task migration problem. To overcome slow convergence resulting from the curse of dimensionality and non-stationary issues caused by shared parameters in MAPPO, we further propose a transformer-based MAPPO approach via sequential decision-making models for the efficient representation of relationships among agents. Finally, to motivate terrestrial or non-terrestrial edge servers(e.g., RSUs or UAVs) to share computation resources and ensure traceability of the sharing records, we apply smart contracts and blockchain technologies to achieve secure sharing management. The development of efficient transition metal oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） catalysts as substitutes for platinum-based catalysts has served as a key strategy in advancing the commercialization of fuel cells. Herein, an effective Fe-N-C catalyst for the ORR was fabricated with hemin as the iron source of Fe-NXactive sites through a simple precipitation-pyrolysis method. With the aid of hemin, the leaf-like ZIF-8 synthesized in an aqueous environment can be driven to transform into a stable three-dimensional dodecahedral structure, resulting in a substantial increase in the yield of Fe-N-C materials. Meanwhile,the influence of hemin loading in the precursors and pyrolysis temperature on the oxygen reduction catalytic activity of the final product Fe-N-C was investigated. Concretely, the optimal Fe100-N-C950displays an onset potential of 1.054 V（vs. RHE） and a half-wave potential of 0.847 V（vs. RHE）. Additionally, the direct ethanol fuel cell（DEFC） with Fe100-N-C950as the cathode catalyst demonstrated a higher power density than the one with the commercial Pt-C catalyst.

We carried out experimental investigations of the geometric effect on the electronic behavior in Pb_(1-x)Bi_(x) thin films by scanning tunneling microscopy and *** crystal monolayer Pb_(0.74)Bi_(0.26) and two-monolayer Pb_(0.75)Bi_(0.25)Pb_(1-x)Bi_(x) thin films were fabricated by molecular beam epitaxy,where large surface corrugations were *** with tunneling spectroscopic measurements,it is found that atomic corrugations can widely change the electronic *** findings show that the Pb_(1-x)Bi_(x) system can be a promising platform to further explore geometry-decorated electronic behavior in two-dimensional metallic thin films.

Reduction of Electromagnetic Vibration for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Using Active Magnetic Bearing Position Control

Active magnetic bearing (AMB) can circumvent the mechanical vibration inherent in traditional bearings. However, it can exacerbate the electromagnetic vibration caused by unbalanced magnetic pull (UMP). This article investigates the effect of the position control of AMB on the electromagnetic vibration reduction of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The serious dynamic eccentricity arising from rotor position fluctuation leads to an increase in UMP, inducing severe electromagnetic vibration at rotational frequency. The proposed zero displacement control with dynamic compensation not only repositions the rotor to decrease displacement fluctuation but also dynamically adjusts the air gap distribution of the PMSM, thereby mitigating UMP caused by dynamic eccentricity. Ultimately this method can achieve notable rotational vibration suppression. Experimental results confirm the theoretical analysis and verify that this method can effectively reduce the vibration at the rotational frequency by more than 20dB. © 2025 IEEE.

Anomalous Nernst effect generates a transverse voltage perpendicular to the temperature *** has several advantages compared with the longitudinal thermoelectricity for energy conversion,such as decoupling of electronic and thermal transports,higher flexibility,and simpler lateral ***,a design principle beyond specific materials systems for obtaining a large anomalous Nernst conductivity(ANC)is still *** this work,we theoretically demonstrate that a pair of Dirac nodes under a Zeeman field manifests an odd-distributed,double-peak anomalous Hall conductivity curve with respect to the chemical potential and a compensated carrier feature,leading to an enhanced ANC compared with that of a simple Weyl semimetal with two Weyl *** on first-principles calculations,we then provide two Dirac semimetal candidates,i.e.,Na3Bi and NaTeAu,and show that under a Zeeman field,they exhibit a sizable ANC value of 0.4 Am^(-1)K^(-1) and 1.3 Am^(-1)K^(-1),respectively,near the Fermi *** an approach is also applicable to ferromagnetic materials with intrinsic Zeeman splitting,as exemplified by a hypothetical alloy NaFeTe2Au2,exhibiting an ANC as high as 3.7 Am^(-1)K^(-1) at the Fermi *** work provides a design principle with a prototype band structure for enhanced ANC pinning at the Fermi level,shedding light on the inverse design of other specific functional materials based on electronic structure.

Nuclear safety-class DCS realizes reactor safety protection function, which is directly related to the safe and stable operation of nuclear power plants, so its reliability should be analyzed and optimized. In this paper, the engineered safety features actuation system in nuclear safety-class DCS is analyzed through the control instruction logic flow involved in the structure, according to the components of the series and parallel or voting logic and other logical relations to bulid a fault tree model. Using fault tree model, the reliability degradation trend is obtained, and the minimum cut set, importance degree and other parameters are quantitatively calculated. According to overhaul cycle of nuclear power plant, a maintenance optimization method for engineered safety features actuation system is proposed, and some optimization suggestions are given. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
