Efficient and selective recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)via polyethyleneimine modification of lanthanum-based metal-organic frameworks

With the development of the economy and the increasing demand for environmental protection,the efficient and selective recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from actual wastewater is of critical *** this work,lanthanum-based metal-organic framework(LaBDC)materials were prepared by a hydrothermal method,and then polyethyleneimine(PEI)and LaBDC were combined by an impregnation method to form a novel LaBDC@xPEI *** prepared materials were characterized using Fourier transfo rm infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),B runauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Experiments show that LaBDC@50%PEI has the highest adsorption capacity(181.77 mg/g)among lanthanum-based MOFs with different PEI loadings at pH=5.5,which is about 5.1 times that of bare *** adsorption isotherm analysis shows that LaBDC@50%PEI follows the Langmuir *** addition,the adsorption kinetics of LaBDC@50%PEI follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model,indicating that the adsorption process is chemical *** is worth noting that LaBDC@50%PEI maintains good adsorption performance and stability after three recycling tests,and exhibits excellent selectivity in cation interference ***,the LaBDC@50%PEI composites possess good stability and hold great promises in rapid recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from practical aqueous environments.

Multi-view multi-person 3D human pose estimation is a hot topic in the field of human pose estimation due to its wide range of application *** the introduction of end-to-end direct regression methods,the field has entered a new stage of ***,the regression results of joints that are more heavily influenced by external factors are not accurate enough even for the optimal *** this paper,we propose an effective feature recalibration module based on the channel attention mechanism and a relative optimal calibration strategy,which is applied to themulti-viewmulti-person 3D human pose estimation task to achieve improved detection accuracy for joints that are more severely affected by external ***,it achieves relative optimal weight adjustment of joint feature information through the recalibration module and strategy,which enables the model to learn the dependencies between joints and the dependencies between people and their corresponding *** call this method as the Efficient Recalibration Network(ER-Net).Finally,experiments were conducted on two benchmark datasets for this task,Campus and Shelf,in which the PCP reached 97.3% and 98.3%,respectively.

Phononic crystals are composite materials consisting of periodically distributed inclusions, and this structure enables wave band gaps under specific conditions. This characteristic allows for the suppression of elastic waves within certain frequency ranges, offering a new approach to vibration reduction and noise control. In this study, phononic crystals, with their periodic structure, tunable bandgap properties, topology optimization, and additive manufacturing technology, are reviewed. Some key hot issues, such as low-frequency vibration and noise control, intelligent materials, and tunable bandgap design, are discussed. In the future, phononic crystals will play a significant role in barrier vibration isolation, rail transit vibration isolation, power equipment vibration isolation, precision equipment vibration isolation, noise control, and underground protection engineering. This study constitutes a systematic summary and outlook of phononic crystals in modern engineering vibration and noise control. © The Author(s) 2025.

Federated learning (FL) has been recognized as a rapidly growing research area, where the model is trained over massively distributed clients under the orchestration of a parameter server (PS) without sharing clients' data. This article delves into a class of federated problems characterized by nonconvex and nonsmooth (NCNS) loss functions, that are prevalent in FL applications but challenging to handle due to their intricate nonconvexity and nonsmoothness nature and the conflicting requirements on communication efficiency and privacy protection. In this article, we propose a novel federated primal - dual algorithm with bidirectional model sparsification tailored for NCNS FL problems, and differential privacy is applied for privacy guarantee. Its unique insightful properties and some privacy and convergence analyses are also presented as the FL algorithm design guidelines. Extensive experiments on real-world data are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and much superior performance than some state-of-the-art FL algorithms, together with the validation of all the analytical results and properties. © 2014 IEEE.

In order to study the characteristics of single rod flow-induced vibration in axial flow, the vibration response of single rod flow-induced vibration in axial flow with different constraints at both ends and different flow velocity was measured with a Laser Doppler Vibrometer. Based on spectral analysis and statistical analysis, the transient vibration response was analyzed in depth. The results show that the vibration amplitude increases with the increase of the flow velocity, and the two ends of the constraints have a significant influence on the flow-induced vibration response. The root means square amplitude value of the simply-supported single rod is 35% larger than that of the fixed one at 3 m/s. Spectrum analysis shows that with the increase of flow velocity, the dominant frequency decreases from 17.5 Hz at 1.5 m/s to 13.8 Hz at 3.0 m/s under simply-supported constraints, while the dominant frequency basically fluctuates around 13.0 Hz under fixed support constraints. The vibration frequency of simply-supported constraints are distributed between 6 Hz and 28 Hz, while those of fixed constraints are mainly distributed between 12 Hz and 16 Hz. The statistical results show that in the X direction of the simply-supported constraints, the geometric center point of the rod is shifted, which indicates that the rod is buckling. © 2023 by JSME.

Helical coil once-through tube steam generator (HCOTSG) has the advantages of compact structure and higher heat transfer efficiency due to its special structure. In order to study the flow boiling heat transfer characteristics in HCOTSG, this paper used the FLUENT commercial software, based on the Critical heat flux(CHF) wall boiling model, to conduct numerical simulation in the spiral tube under the given wall temperature boundary conditions, and verified its reliability by comparing the relevant experimental research. On this basis, the flow boiling heat transfer process in the spiral tube was simulated under different flow parameters, and the velocity field, temperature field and the distribution of vapor-liquid two-phases in the spiral tube were studied, It is found that under the condition of constant wall temperature boundary, the influence of different inlet temperature only exists in the single-phase water region near the inlet, and has little influence on the boiling two-phase region and single-phase steam region. The void fraction decreases at the same height in the boiling two-phase region with the increase of inlet flow velocity, which is due to the decrease of the heating time when the fluid reaches the same height. © 2023 by JSME.

In this study,hydrogen-storage glass microballoons were introduced into emulsion explosives to improve the detonation performance of the *** effect of hydrogen-storage pressure on the detonation characteristics of emulsion explosives was systematically *** velocity experiments shows that the change of sensitizing gas and the increase of hydrogen pressure have different effects on the detonation *** experimental parameters of underwater explosion increase first and then decreases with the increase of hydrogen *** decrease of these parameters indicates that the strength of glass microballoons is the limiting factor to improve the detonation performance of hydrogen-storage emulsion *** with the traditional emulsion explosives,the maximum peak pressure of shock wave of hydrogen-storage emulsion explosives increases by 10.6%at 1.0 m and 10.2%at 1.2 m,the maximum values of shock impulse increase by 5.7%at 1.0 m and 19.4%at 1.2 *** stored hydrogen has dual effects of sensitizers and energetic additives,which can improve the energy output of emulsion explosives.

Stomata play critical roles in gas exchange and immunity to *** many genes regulating early stomatal development up to the production of young guard cells(GCs)have been identified in Arabidopsis,much less is known about how young GCs develop into mature functional *** we perform a maturomics study on stomata,with“maturomics”defined as omics analysis of the maturation process of a tissue or *** develop an integrative scheme to analyze three public stomata-related single-cell RNAseq datasets and identify a list of 586 genes that are specifically up-regulated in all three datasets during stomatal maturation and function *** list,termed sc_586,is enriched with known regulators of stomatal maturation and *** validate the reliability of the dataset,we selected two candidate G2-like transcription factor genes,MYS1 and MYS2,to investigate their roles in *** two genes redundantly regulate the size and hoop rigidity of mature GCs,and the mys1 mys2 double mutants cause mature GCs with severe defects in regulating their stomatal *** together,our results provide a valuable list of genes for studying GC maturation and function formation.

In this work, we apply the inverse problem method to infer operating conditions and simultaneously quantify uncertainties in steady-state turbulent forced convection systems. This approach dealt with reduced variable dimensions using prior knowledge of the system to avoid underdetermined problems. The methodology encompasses modeling the heat transfer system with the energy equation, employing Newton's method to solve the inverse problem, and quantifying total uncertainties arising from various sources. Significantly, this study extends the inverse heat transfer problem's scope to the actual thermal-fluid problem, overcoming the challenge of minimal sensor usage while ensuring the accuracy of estimation. This work not only demonstrates the application of inverse problem-solving in thermal-fluid systems but also contributes to the further development of sparse sensing methods. The results of this study enhance thermal system monitoring and control efficiency with broader industrial and environmental applications. They also lay the groundwork for advanced sparse sensing and inverse problem-solving, transforming thermal system analysis and optimization methods. © ICAPP *** rights reserved.
