This paper has developed a planar near-field measurement system that can be used for microwave power transmission. This system is composed of T/R module, two-dimensional scanner, microwave probe and computer. It has the characteristics of high precision and real-time processing of data, and can be used for planar near-field field measurement. In order to verify its function, we used a microstrip array antenna working at 5.8GHz as the antenna under test (AUT). The experimental results are consistent with the simulated results.

Osmotic power, a clean energy source, can be harvested from the salinity difference between seawater and river water. However, the output power densities are hampered by the trade-off between ion selectivity and ion permeability. Here we propose an effective strategy of double angstrom-scale confinement (DAC) to design ion-permselective channels with enhanced ion selectivity and permeability simultaneously. The fabricated DAC-Ti 0.87 O 2 membranes possess both Ti atomic vacancies and an interlayer free spacing of ≈2.2 Å, which not only generates a profitable confinement effect for Na + ions to enable high ion selectivity but also induces a strong interaction with Na + ions to benefit high ion permeability. Consequently, when applied to osmotic power generation, the DAC-Ti 0.87 O 2 membranes achieved an ultrahigh power density of 17.8 W m −2 by mixing 0.5/0.01 M NaCl solution and up to 114.2 W m −2 with a 500-fold salinity gradient, far exceeding all the reported macroscopic-scale membranes. This work highlights the potential of the construction of DAC ion-permselective channels for two-dimensional materials in high-performance nanofluidic energy systems.

Understanding the regulatory mechanisms of intestinal organoid morphogenesis remains a fundamental challenge in organoid biology. Emerging evidence highlights mechanical bistability as a critical regulator, mediated by dynamic lumen-actomyosin feedback. The recently developed 3D vertex model demonstrates that crypt curvature modulates actomyosin localization via mechanosensitive pathways, creating two stable morphological states-bulged or budded-depending on mechanical history. This model advances beyond static vertex models by incorporating epithelial thickness variations and lumen pressure effects, explaining previously unresolved phenomena like irreversible crypt budding and snap-through transitions. The findings establish a new framework for understanding mechanical decision-making in epithelial tissues, with implications for organoid engineering and developmental biology.

The adsorptive separation of olefin/paraffin mixtures requires the development of robust adsorbents with high selectivity and adsorption capacity. Here we introduce surface sieving carbon adsorbents for propylene/propane separations. The surface sieving carbon skins, with a thickness of approximately 5.0 nm, selectively sieve propylene through narrow slits centered at 3.6 Å. Underneath the carbon skin lies a pore reservoir centered at 4.9 Å, resulting in a high propylene adsorption capacity of ~2.0 mmol g−1. Such carbon structures readily self-assemble into water-stable and robust monoliths with highly interconnected macropores for efficient mass transfer. These structural advantages collectively contribute to the high propylene/propane separation performance of the surface sieving carbon even after boiling in water for a week. Process simulations reveal that, using this adsorbent class, 99.5% and 99.9% purity of propylene with the according recovery of 82% and 79% can be obtained from an equimolar propylene/propane mixture through a two-bed six-step vacuum swing adsorption process.
