In this paper, the sensitivity of the dynamic response of reactor coolant system to the input parameters is investigated through OPTIMUS integrated platform, taking the stiffness of the dampers which support the steam generator and the main pump in the reactor coolant system as the input variables. OPTIMUS is a kind of software developed by Noesis Solutions Company, by which the multidisciplinary analysis process can be integrated for collaborative optimization design. OPTIMUS allows users to graphically establish workflows in which they define input files, output files, input parameters, output parameters and analysis tools that are needed to be called and the logical relationships between controls in the process. The dynamic response analysis of reactor system is the key process in the mechanical evaluation. With the continuous improvement of seismic design benchmark and reactor design requirements, the problem of structural stress over-limit is becoming more and more prominent, and the repeated iteration of design to evaluation becomes an inevitable trend. It is necessary to examine the sensitivity of the dynamic response to the key design parameters in the reactor system and find out the design parameters which have a great impact on the reactor dynamic response to shorten the design cycle and improve the design efficiency. In this paper, the sensitivity of the output parameters to the input parameters are investigated by OPTIMUS, considering the stiffness of dampers supporting the steam generator and the main pump as the input parameters, taking the supporting loads of the main equipments as the output parameters. Not only can ANSYS simulation calculations be automatically carried out on the OPTIMUS, but also can the output data be disposed automatically and rapidly. Test stimulus is the key to the detection for analog circuits of complex integrated electronic devices, in order to improve the accuracy of analogue circuits detection, this paper proposes an optimization method for analogue circuit test excitation based on the Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm (AOA), which consists of the AOA and the Wilkes statistic as the optimization objective. Initially, the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the circuits are acquired via Pspice simulations. Subsequently, the AOA algorithm establishes vector individuals based on these amplitude-frequency profiles of the circuits. The Wilkes statistics are then employed to compute the intraclass and interclass distances across various circuit states, encompassing normal variations. The AOA, recognized for its heuristic nature, robust optimization capabilities, swift computational speed, and global optimization pursuit, is utilized to optimize the test frequencies. Once the optimal test frequency is determined via the AOA, it is employed as the input for testing the circuit under evaluation. The time-domain output signal of the tested circuit is subsequently classified using a linear support vector machine (SVM) to ascertain the efficacy of the proposed optimization method. To validate the efficacy of this proposed method, a four-op-amp dual-secondary bandpass filter circuit is chosen for experimental verification. The results obtained from the experiments showcase that the test excitation derived from this method achieves an accuracy of 97.02%. This accuracy surpasses that achieved by commonly used impulse sources when utilizing a simpler classifier like the linear SVM. The experimental outcomes robustly demonstrate the effectiveness of this method in optimizing test excitations for analogue circuits. © 2024 IEEE.

The nuclear steam generator (SG) is an important component for nuclear power plant which transfers heat from the primary side coolant to the secondary side water. Water supply system is composed of water supply pump and feed water adjusting valve, and the water level of the steam generator is adjusted by the change of feed water flow rate. Changes in regulating valve opening and feed pump speed can both affect changes of feed water flow, and unrelated regulation of the two control variables will lead to mutual effects on the regulating effect, which makes the regulating time longer and the flow control deviation larger. In order to solve the coupling problem of feed pump and feed regulating valve of feed water system, the coupling characteristic of feed pump and feed regulating valve are studied in this paper. The paper analyzes the dynamic impact characteristics of feed pump speed on feed water flow rate and pressure difference of water supply adjusting valve, and also the dynamic impact characteristics of the opening of the water supply adjusting valve on feed water flow rate and pressure difference of water supply valve. A feedforward control scheme of water supply adjusting valve is further proposed for feedwater system decoupling, and the control simulation is conducted based on a flow rate step process. The simulation results show that the feed water flow response speed after decoupling is significantly improved, and the steady-state regulation time is shortened by more than 40%. Meanwhile, the maximum control difference of the feed water regulating valve is reduced by more than 60%. © 2023 IEEE.

The ASME code allows the designer to circumvent many of the problems arising in design by elastic analysis by performing plastic or limit analysis of the component. Unlike elastic analysis, these analyses take account of the redistribution of stress upon yield. In limit analysis, the calculation of the limit load for finite plate with different semi-elliptical defects is an important stage for mechanical safety evaluation. The elastic compensation technique proposed by Mackenzie can be used to provide the limit load of a structure with a finite element method and aims at producing a suitable stress filed for the lower bound theory. In the present study, it is assumed that the finite plate exists three kinds of semi-elliptical cracks with low aspect ratio a/c (a/c=0.1, 0.5 and 1.0), respectively. The improved elastic compensation technique realized by finite element method is applied in the limit load estimation. At last, the results show that the improved elastic compensation technique can be used to obtain the limit value for the finite plate with different semi-elliptical defects under tensile loading. Moreover, the improved elastic compensation technique can be easily implemented in any finite element method and enables the limit load for any complex structure to be obtained swiftly. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper proposes a novel measurement architecture aimed at accurately characterizing the inherent nonlinear characteristics of RF power devices and extracting nonlinear wideband scatter parameters. By introducing two-tone frequency impedance synthesis and wide-band phase reference, nonlinear wide-band scatter parameters can be extracted from the measurement data. This approach is verified on a known parameter PA to assess the effectiveness of the measurement architecture. Experimental verification has shown that this model has a high degree of fit with actual measured data, significantly supporting the performance optimization of RF devices. This study provides an important tool for RF front-end design and device measurement. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The high burn-up structure(HBS)is characterized by the grain size of 100-300 nm and a porosity of up to 20%,which is formed at the rim of the nuclear fuel pellet due to 2-3 times higher local burn-up during the in-pile *** is considered a new potential structure for high-performance ***,it is difficult to prepare HBS by conventional sintering *** this study,flash sintering was used to prepare HBS using CeO_(2)as a surrogate for a preliminary investigation.A new experimental configuration for rapid sintering of CeO_(2)pellets was provided,in which the green body can be rapidly preheated and pressure-assisted by the induction heating *** insulated quartz tube was used as the die for the flash sintered samples,allowing the current to flow through the sample and providing a stable condition for applying an external pressure of approximately 5.3-7.0 MPa during flash sintering *** an initial electric field of 141 V cm-1 and holding for 1-7 min at the maximum current density of~98 mA mm^(-2),CeO_(2)ceramics with a grain size of 114-282 nm and a relative density of 75.4-99.7%were *** densification and microstructure evolution behaviors during flash sintering in this new experimental configuration have been discussed in *** new experimental configuration may provide a promising approach for preparing UO_(2)ceramics and their HBS.

Proximity effect over a broad frequency range plays an important role in analyzing transients in the coils. The frequency dependent characteristic makes proximity effect a tricky problem. This paper first introduces FEM simulation to calculate the complex impedance of proximity effect and compares different axial arrangement of two conductors, shows a good agreement. In addition, different formulas are used to compare their results with FEM simulation to verify their accuracy. Kane formula and Modified formula can both get relatively accurate results. Considering the accuracy and conciseness of Modified formula, it is preferred in the analysis of transients in coils. © 2022 IEEE.

OpenFOAM is a free, open-source software package that can be used for the solutions of computational fluid dynamics and simulation of various fluid flow processes. Nevertheless, OpenFOAM still lacks default settings and a large number of different numerical schemes and turbulent models should be validated. In this paper, the unsteady flow around a cylinder (Re=3900) is calculated by the large eddy simulation of OpenFOAM. The predictions include the drag and lift coefficient, the pressure distribution around the cylinder, the velocity distribution and Reynolds stress distribution in the wake region, as well as the prediction of the recirculation length and separation angle. Thanks to several simulations, these five subgrid-scale (SGS) models are compared and studied: The Smagorinsky SGS model, wall adaptive local eddy visibility SGS model, dynamic SGS model with Lagrangian averaging, dynamic one equation eddy visibility model, one equation eddy visibility model. The numerical results are verified with the published experimental data. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The third generation nuclear power reactor protection system (RPS) based on computer technology, that is, safety DCS system, is designed with large-scale integrated circuits and real-time embedded software, which has the characteristics of complex structure, large system scale and high verification difficulty. In order to ensure the safe operation and economic benefits of nuclear power plants, RPS needs not only reliability and stability, but also high availability. In the process of human factor design and preliminary verification of the control room console in Nuclear Power Plant, traditional 2D human model design and analysis method is commonly used. However the results turn to be inaccurate and time-consuming. With the help of human simulation tool Jack, quick and precise analysis can be achieved. This paper puts forward the human factor engineering analysis of main control room console in nuclear power plant based on Jack including the visibility, accessibility, and collision detection. By comparing this method with traditional 2D design, conclusion can be drawn that Ergonomic Analysis of main control room console Based on Jack is more comprehensive and accurate, thus largely increasing the design efficiency and quality. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
