The exceptional optoelectronic properties of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals(PeNCs)in the ultraviolet and visible spectral regions have positioned them as a promising class of semiconductor materials for diverse optoelectronic and photo-voltaic ***,their limited response to near-infrared(NIR)light due to the intrinsic bandgap(>1.5 eV)has hindered their applications in many advanced *** circumvent this limitation,it is of fundamental significance to inte-grate PeNCs with lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)that are capable of efficiently converting low-energy NIR photons into high-energy ultravi-olet and visible *** leveraging the energy transfer from UCNPs to PeNCs,this synergistic combination can not only expand the NIR responsivity range of PeNCs but also introduce novel emission profiles to upconversion luminescence with multi-dimensional tunability(e.g.,wavelength,lifetime,and polarization)under low-to-medium power NIR irradiation,which breaks through the inherent restric-tions of individual PeNCs and UCNPs and thereby opens up new opportunities for materials and device *** this review,we focus on the latest advance-ments in the development of PeNCs-UCNPs nanocomposites,with an emphasis on the controlled synthesis and optical properties design for advanced optoelectronic applications such as full-spectrum solar cells,NIR photodetectors,and multilevel *** future efforts and prospects toward this active research field are also envisioned.

One variety of ferroelectricity that results from lateral relative movements between the adjacent atomic layers is referred to as sliding ferroelectricity,which generates an interfacial charge transfer and hence a polarization *** mechanism of sliding ferroelectricity existent in van der Waals crystals is quite distinct from the conventional ferroelectric switching mechanisms mediated by ion *** creates new possibilities for the design of two-dimensional(2D)ferroelectrics since it can be achieved even in non-polar *** 2D ferroelectrics can be widely employed for practical implementations,however,there is still significant work to be done on several fronts,such as exploring ferroelectricity possibly in more potential 2D ***,we report the experimental observation of room-temperature robust vertical ferroelectricity in layered semiconducting rhenium diselenide(ReSe_(2)),a representative member of the transition metal dichalcogenides material family,based on a combined research of nanoscale piezoresponse and second harmonic generation *** no such ferroelectric behavior was seen in 1L ReSe_(2),2L ReSe_(2)exhibits vertical ferroelectricity at ambient *** on density-functional theory calculations,we deduce that the microscopic origin of ferroelectricity for ReSe_(2)is uncompensated vertical charge transfer that is dependent on in-plane translation and switchable upon interlayer *** findings have important ramifications for the ongoing development of sliding ferroelectricity since the semiconducting properties and low switching barrier of ReSe2 open up the fascinating potential for functional nanoelectronics applications.

An active adaptive fault-tolerant controller is proposed for the ship speed/course coordination control *** this method,a nonlinear dynamic mechanism model with multiple fault descriptions and generalized disturbances is developed *** update laws are designed to estimate the fault parameters and generalized ***,an active adaptive fault-tolerant controller utilizing the real-time parameter estimations is proposed,where the presented adaptive laws are employed to compensate the partial failures,interruptions,offsets,stuck faults and generalized disturbances without prior information simultaneously.A surface ship speed/course coordination control system is built in Matlab/Simulink simulation *** effectiveness of proposed control scheme is verified through digital simulation results.

Melting and freezing model plays a crucial role in safety analysis for liquid metal fast reactors under core disruptive accidents. Thus, it’s necessary to establish suitable models for accurate prediction of molten materials migration after severe accidents happens. In this study, a kind of melting and freezing model is established in ACENA code. And the ACENA code is used to simulate the freezing behavior of melt and calculated results are compared with experimental results to verify the applicability of the model. According to the comparison it is shown that the simulation results by ACENA code agree well with experimental results. Both the changing trend and final value of penetration depth of melt are consistent with realistic conditions. Besides, the effects of heat exchange on penetration depth are also analyzed. This research contributes to the development of safety analysis tools for liquid metal reactors under severe accidents. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The wave velocity analysis of rock medium is the main method used to explore the internal compositions in the crust and research *** this paper,a compression–shear coupled nonlinear elastic constitutive relation is established,which is consistent with the mechanical properties of rock and mineral medium under high *** this basis,numerical solutions of the wave equation and plane wave analytical solutions for the primary and secondary wave velocities are *** is indicated by the comparison with the linear elastic constitutive theory,the results reflect the compression–shear coupling characteristics of the rock,including the stress path effect and the compression–shear coupling wave *** different parameter values,the velocity of the secondary wave changes from lower than that of the elastic shear wave,to higher than that of the elastic shear *** research results are expected to provide meaningful explanations for the physical mechanisms of the supershear wave and sub-Rayleigh wave,and guidance for the detection of rock and soil composition and the observation of seismic waves.

In order to improve the accuracy of speech emotion recognition, this paper proposes a speech emotion recognition method based on the channel attention mechanism. Firstly, Mel Frequency Ceptral Coefficient(MFCC), speech spectrograms and spectral envelopes are selected as the initial input features;then, multiple depth network models are used to extract feature maps from different angles in parallel;then, weights are assigned and fused to the feature maps output from each sub-depth network model by the channel attention mechanism;finally, the fused feature maps are used to predict emotion categories. The experimental results on CASIA, Emo-DB, and SAVEE emotion datasets show that the method achieves 88.3%, 85.1%, and 64.5% recognition accuracy, respectively, with better recognition performance compared to recent comparative literature models. © 2023 IEEE.

Zirconium-based alloys are widely used for fuel claddings particularly in pressurized water reactor. The high temperature oxidation kinetics of Zr-Sn-Nb alloys in steam in the temperature range of 650°C∼1250° are studied by a modified thermogravimetric analyzer. The oxidation rate exponents and oxidation correlation are calculated. The rate transition of kinetic oxidation for Zr-Sn-Nb occur at 1100° The microstructure characteristic of the oxide film formed at 1200° indicated that the oxide layer is constituted of nanometer exquiaxed grains on the outer surface, columnar grains along perpendicular to the O/M interface and quaisi-equxiaxed grains near the O/M interface. The thickness, crystal distribution and grains size of each layer is measured and analyzed. Furthermore, the correlation among the tetragonal phase fraction, the stress, and the microstructural change of the oxide film is schematized and then analyzed. How to obtain the intact columnar grains structures in the oxide and uniform protective oxide film formation are the key to improve the corrosion resistance of zirconium alloys. © 2022 by ASME.

The metaverse is defined as a three-dimensional virtual-real fusion network focused on social connection. Edge computing can empower the metaverse by providing computing resources to realize real-time motion tracking, visual or auditory rendering and virtual scene dynamic change at the edge of networks. Users enjoy the immersive experience provided by the Metaverse Service Provider (MSP), and interact through digital avatars in the virtual world by requesting metaverse services. In this paper, we formulate the edge computing resources pricing, metaverse service rendering bitrate pricing and request problem in the metaverse. Especially, we model the interactions among edge servers, the MSP and Metaverse Service Users (MSUs) as a hierarchical three-stage Stackelberg game. The problem of joining edge-enabled metaverse services is also studied with the consideration of network externality, including the network effect and congestion effect. Based on the backward induction method, we derive the optimal computing resources pricing of edge servers, rendering bitrate pricing of the MSP, and rendering bitrate requests of MSUs. We also prove the existence and uniqueness of the Stackelberg game equilibrium. Simulation results show that the network effect can bring more positive utilities to entities when the social tie coefficient among MSUs is higher. Besides, all entities in the edge-enabled metaverse are affected negatively by the congestion effect. © 2023 IEEE.
