This study analyzed an yttrium hydride (YH2) moderated supercritical carbon dioxide cooled reactor loaded with pin-type, beryllium oxide diluted oxide fuel elements to reduce the critical enrichment. The impact of the YH2 on the coolant void reactivity was studied along with a moderator zoning scheme to flatten the radial power distribution. The YH2 was added as hexagonal moderating rods at the center of the fuel assemblies. The core was modeled using the continuous-energy reactor Monte Carlo code (RMC) with the on-the-fly cross sections treatment. The results showed that the YH2 moderator increased the thermal fission and reduced the critical enrichment of the core with the same diluent volume fraction by more than 30%. The YH2 moderator significantly softened the neutron energy spectrum and reduced the neutron leakage upon core voiding, resulting in both a weaker positive spectral reactivity feedback and a weaker negative leakage reactivity feedback during core depressurization. For an UO2-loaded core, the YH2 gave a lower negative coolant void reactivity, while for a mixed oxide fuel (MOX)-loaded core with diluent volume fractions smaller than 35%, the spectral feedback was more important and the YH2 strongly reduced the positive coolant void reactivity to less than $1. Arranging the YH2 in the peripheral assemblies reduced the radial power peaking factor to 1.319. The study shows that the YH2 moderator can reduce the critical enrichment, make the core less sensitive to voiding, and can flatten the radial power distribution of a single-enrichment core through moderator zoning. The accuracy of coolant flow measurement of reactor Primary Circuit has a direct impact on the safety and stability of nuclear reactors. However, the presence of errors in the measurement method and instrumentation, as well as the fluid-heat coupling field in the pipeline, leads to a certain degree of uncertainty in the flow measurement. In this paper, an inverse uncertainty quantification method named Sample Chunked Bayesian Inference is proposed based on the establishment of a mathematical model of measurement uncertainty. The proposed method divides the input sample into a number of small samples with single peaks, and then uses each of these as observation sample of Bayesian Inference. The experiments show that the method can effectively quantify the systematic uncertainty and random uncertainty in the measured data. Moreover, compared with the traditional method that use input sample directly as observation sample, the proposed method has higher quantization accuracy. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Pedestrian search is a combined task of pedestrian detection and pedestrian re-identification, i.e., how to find a specific pedestrian in a panoramic picture. However, due to the impact of different imaging conditions and environments, the accuracy of pedestrian search is still low at present, which is difficult to meet the needs of practical applications. To improve the accuracy of pedestrian search, this paper proposes PSA-CLNet pedestrian search method, which integrates polarized self-attention mechanism (PSA) and cosine online instance matching (COIM) loss. Firstly, the channel attention is added to enhance the pedestrian feature information and improve the expression ability of the feature information. Secondly, spatial attention is added to enhance the areas that have more contribution to the pedestrian search task to increase the correlation between the pictures and improve the recognition ability. Meanwhile, this paper proposes a COIM loss based on the online instance matching (OIM) loss. The loss function can enlarge the class distance between pedestrians and background, and reduce the class distance between pedestrians. This could improve the accuracy of pedestrian search algorithm effectively. Finally, this paper uses ResNet as the main backbone network to verify the proposed method. The pedestrian search method proposed in this paper could achieve 96.60% of mAP index and 96.83% of top-1 index in CUHK-SYSU dataset, and achieve 48.78% of mAP index and 88.38% of top-1 index in PRW dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

The relative natural abundance of potassium and potentially high energy density has established potassium-ion batteries as a promising technology for future large-scale global energy ***,the anodes' low capacity and high dis charge platform lead to low energy density,which impedes their rapid ***,we present a possible co-activation mechanism between bismuth（Bi） and tin（Sn）that enhances K-ion storage in battery *** co-activated Bi-Sn anode delivered a high capacity of634 mAh g-1,with a discharge plateau as low as 0.35 V,and operated continuously for 500 cycles at a current density of 50 mA g-1,with a high Coulombic efficiency of 99.2%.This possible co-activation strategy for high potassium storage may be extended to other Na/Zn/Ca/Mg/Al ion battery technologies,thus providing insights into how to improve their energy storage ability.

Robust Software Defined Multicast in Broadband LEO Constellations

In broadband Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks, efficient video delivery is achieved through multicast techniques, which combine the bandwidth of both the satellite Access Networks and the Backbone Networks, resulting in significant bandwidth savings. However, previous research on multicast routing in LEO constellations has primarily focused on multicast in an ideal state, overlooking the challenges of obstacle avoidance posed by satellite failures or link congestion in real-world scenarios. In this paper, we introduce Software-Defined Multicast (SDM) to broadband LEO constellations and propose a robust SDM policy capable of effectively managing the dynamic nature of LEO constellation networks. To address the obstacle avoidance requirements, we develop an Obstacle-Avoiding Rectilinear Steiner Tree (OA-RST) algorithm and construct an intelligent multicast routing tree. Additionally, we present a resilient multicast management strategy to ensure seamless maintenance and management of multicast groups, even in the face of frequent satellite switching, dynamic membership updates, and resource contention among multiple groups. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed routing tree construction algorithm and management scheme in minimizing the total multicast tree length, conserving network bandwidth resources, and maintaining stable routing in the network. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

The success of deep transfer learning in fault diagnosis is attributed to the collection of high-quality labeled data from the source ***,in engineering scenarios,achieving such high-quality label annotation is difficult and *** incorrect label annotation produces two negative effects:1)the complex decision boundary of diagnosis models lowers the generalization performance on the target domain,and2)the distribution of target domain samples becomes misaligned with the false-labeled *** overcome these negative effects,this article proposes a solution called the label recovery and trajectory designable network(LRTDN).LRTDN consists of three ***,a residual network with dual classifiers is to learn features from cross-domain ***,an annotation check module is constructed to generate a label anomaly indicator that could modify the abnormal labels of false-labeled samples in the source *** the training of relabeled samples,the complexity of diagnosis model is reduced via semi-supervised ***,the adaptation trajectories are designed for sample distributions across *** ensures that the target domain samples are only adapted with the pure-labeled *** LRTDN is verified by two case studies,in which the diagnosis knowledge of bearings is transferred across different working conditions as well as different yet related *** results show that LRTDN offers a high diagnosis accuracy even in the presence of incorrect annotation.

The development of STING inhibitors for the treatment of STING-related inflammatory diseases continues to encounter significant *** activation of STING is a multi-step process that includes binding with c GAMP,self-oligomerization,and translocation from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus,ultimately inducing the expression of IRF3 and NF-κB-mediated interferons and inflammatory *** has been demonstrated that disruption of any of these steps can effectively inhibit STING *** structure-based drug screening methodologies generally focus on specific binding *** this study,a Transformer CPI model based on protein primary sequences and independent of binding sites is employed to identify compounds capable of binding to the STING *** natural product Licochalcone D(Lico D)is identified as a potent and selective STING *** D does not bind to the classical ligandbinding pocket;instead,it covalently modifies the Cys148 residue of *** modification inhibits STING oligomerization,consequently suppressing the recruitment of TBK1 and the nuclear translocation of IRF3 and NF-κ*** D treatment ameliorates the inflammatory phenotype in Trex1-/-mice and inhibits the progression of DSS-induced colitis and AOM/DSS-induced colitis-associated colon cancer(CAC).In summary,this study reveals the potential of Lico D in treating STING-driven inflammatory *** also demonstrates the utility of the Transformer CPI model in discovering allosteric compounds beyond the conventional binding pockets.
