Altermagnetism, as a newly identified form of unconventional antiferromagnetism, enables the removal of spin degeneracy in the absence of net magnetization that provides a platform for the low power consumption and ultra-fast device applications. However, the rare attention has been paid to the relationship between stacking, strain and altermagnet, multipiezo effect and topological state. Here, we propose a mechanism to realize the altermagnet, multipiezo effect, and topological state in two-dimensional materials by the stacking and strain engineering. Based on the analysis of symmetry, we find that the spin splitting feature related to the Ut, PTt, MzUt, or MzPTt symmetries in altermagnet multilayers. In addition, we find that the stacking engineering can effectively realize the transform from antiferromagnetism to altermagnetism and semiconductor to metal for the Jauns bilayer V2SeTeO. More interestingly, the strain not only induces an intriguing multipiezo effect, encompassing the piezovalley, piezomagnetism and piezoelectric, but also achieves the abundant topological phase. Our findings offer a generalized direction for manipulating the spin splitting, valley polarization, and topological states, promoting practical application of valleytronic and spintronic devices based on two-dimensional altermagnets. © 2025, CC BY.

Delamination of an Elastic Cuboid from a Flat Rigid Substrate

Due to their strong pull-off force on noncooperative objects, dry adhesive materials have promising applications in gecko-mimicking robots and mechanical grippers. Previous experimental studies have shown that uniform interfacial stress and center delamination are favorable for achieving a high pull-off force;however, an in-depth understanding of interfacial stress distribution, delamination mode, and pull-off force of square cross-section elastomers is lacking. The square cross-section is expected to improve the packing ratio and pull-off force further. This paper studies a model system where an elastic square cuboid is detached from a flat rigid substrate to provide theoretical support for the design of adhesive materials. Based on elastomers' energy release rate and instability, we establish a three-dimensional model for the elastic square cuboid and analyze the mechanism of three delamination modes: edge delamination, center delamination, and cavity delamination. Furthermore, a new theoretical model for the pull-off force and phase diagram of the various delamination modes is developed. We found three subdivision crack patterns in the cuboid edge delamination mode, arc-shaped, fingering, and rhombus, which are different from the cylinder sample. Fingering cracks of cylinder samples are usually considered characteristics of elastic instability, but those of cuboid samples cannot be defined as elastic instability. The three edge crack patterns are gradually transformed, determined by the interfacial stress distribution, which is affected by the sample width-to-thickness ratio. The following results are obtained by combining the experimental and theoretical pull-off forces and phase diagram data. First, the interfacial stress distribution determines the pull-off force, and the delamination mode is an index to judge the stress distribution. A practical methodology is presented to characterize the thermoviscoplastic flow stress at larger strain over the temperature range of cold metal forming using tensile and compression tests. Its importance is emphasized for non-isothermal finite element (FE) analysis of automatic multi-stage cold forging (AMSCF) process where maximum strain and strain rate exceed around 3.0 and 200/s, respectively. The experimental compressive flow stress is first characterized using traditional bilinear C-m model with high accuracy. It is employed for describing the closed-form function model to extrapolate the experimental flow stress over the experimentally uncovered ranges of state variables. The strain effect on the flow stress is then improved using the experimental tensile flow stress accurately calculated at large strain and room temperature. A complicated flow behavior of S25C characterized by its dynamic strain aging features is expressed by the presented methodology, which is utilized to analyze the test upsetting and AMSCF processes by the elasto-thermoviscoplastic finite element method for revealing the effects of flow stresses on the process. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. This paper addresses the crossing order problem for connected and automated vehicles at an intersection where the problem can lead to higher traffic congestion, especially in high traffic density. First, we formulated the problem with mixed integer linear programming where the solution yields optimal crossing time for each vehicle to cross the intersection. Then, we present an optimization framework to drive each vehicle towards the assigned crossing time while conserving the fuel consumption. Finally, we simulate the intersection scenario with the proposed solution, where it is shown that both congestion and fuel consumption can be reduced significantly. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC 2019.

In today's fast-paced technological era, electronic devices must be both speedy and energy-efficient to keep up with rapid advancements. Developing energy-efficient digital devices for real-time applications is critical in VLSI research. The adiabatic process of logic circuits is used to develop an adder with high performance and ultra-low power dissipation. Techniques like multi-threshold devices (MTCMOS), variable multi-threshold devices (VTCMOS), and dynamic threshold devices (DTCMOS) have been explored with the scaling of devices. The proposed circuit contains a new type of adiabatic circuit that works excellently for low-power dissipation. A comparison is made with the conventional CMOS adders, such as half and full adders and newly developed adiabatic logic circuits. All the experimental simulations have been carried out using LTSpice software for 16nm and 22nm LP PTM models by changing frequencies from 0MHz to 25MHz, taking rise and fall time as 1n & 2n seconds respectively. We have also varied the load capacitance from 0f to 10f. The outcomes obtained from the experiment indicate the effectiveness and capability of the newly proposed circuit, which is 40% less power consumption and 22% less energy consumption for both 16nm and 22nm, respectively, using 0f as load capacitance.

Federated learning (FL) framework enables user devices collaboratively train a global model based on their local datasets without privacy leak. However, the training performance of FL is degraded when the data distributions of different devices are incongruent. Fueled by this issue, we consider a clustered FL (CFL) method where the devices are divided into several clusters according to their data distributions and are trained simultaneously. Convergence analysis is conducted, which shows that the clustered model performance depends on cosine similarity, device number per cluster, and device participation probability. Then, aiming at optimizing the model training performance, a joint problem of resource allocation and device clustering is formulated, which is solved by decoupling it into two sub-problems. Specifically, a coalition formation algorithm is proposed for the device clustering sub-problem, and the sub-problem of bandwidth allocation and transmit power control is solved directly due to its convexity. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted on the MNIST dataset to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of test accuracy.

In this work, we combined three-dimensional (3D) necklace-like Te-Au reticula as novel surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) active substrates with oxidation-reduction displacement reactions to construct a molecular machine for SERS detection. The structurally tunable 3D necklace-like spatial structures generated more active ‘hot spots’ and thus enhanced the sensitivity of SERS signals. Besides, layers of ultrathin nanowires showed high sequence dependence which ensure the repeatability and abundant hotspots at interparticle gaps guarantee the high SERS performance of the substrate. A better localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect of the sensor was verified by finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis in both Raman intensities and electromagnetic field distributions compared to the citrate-stabilized AuNPs and CTAB-protected AuNRs. The proposed strategy can also serve as a universally amplified and sensitive detection platform for monitoring different molecules, thus achieving an amplification detection of 3,3'-diethylthiatricarbocyanine iodide (DTTCI) are 1 nM and R6G with a low limit of detection of 1 pM. Especially, The intensity of the main vibration of R6G from 30 spots of SERS data with excellent reproducibility (relative standard deviation of 6.25%). High selectivity and accuracy of the SERS sensor were proved by practical analysis melamine (MM) in milk with a linear calibration curve (R2=0.9962) and a limit of detection of 0.75 mg/kg. Our research provides a new perspective to construct 3D SERS sensor from integrated structural design. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

To solve the complex 3-D space pipe routing problem, an algorithm framework combining genetic algorithm and adaptive A * algorithm (AAGA) is proposed. The initial population of the genetic algorithm is generated using the adaptive A * algorithm combined with the concept of intermediate join points, this method is also used in the generation of sub-paths in the crossover and mutation operations of genetic algorithms. On the one hand, this method improves the quality of the initial population and speeds up the optimization of genetic algorithm, on the other hand, it solves the problem that the genetic algorithm combined with the traditional A * algorithm (AGA) is prone to redundant inflection points. Finally, on the premise of ensuring pipeline connectivity, pipeline length and number of inflection points, the constraints of pipeline center of gravity and minimum bending radius are added to carry out simulation experiments. Simulation results show that the AAGA has better performance than adaptive A * algorithm and AGA.

Accompanied with strict requirements on accuracy and determinacy in nuclear power industrial safety Digital Control system (DCS), time-triggered technology has been used in Ethernet widely, while another network protocol, Fiber-Channel (FC) protocol which is popular in avionic electronic systems with hyper reliability in port to port communication stands still, even though the optical fiber cable is quite adopted by other protocols like Ethernet. One important reason is the lack of the capability to handling time sensitive tasks in FC protocol itself. In order to bring Fiber-Channel protocol into real-time applications, like safety DCS for nuclear industry, with the situation that there are pretty few researches on the time synchronization in FC protocol, this paper makes fundamental research on the solution to achieve high-accuracy time synchronization in FC protocol networks, which has been proved a vital important step to realize real time communication according to Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE)(H. Kopetz al, 2005). By analyzing current Fiber-Channel network time communication strategies and demo-boards testing, this paper designs a method to achieve the same level or better synchronization accuracy in FC network with that in TTE, which figures out a new direction in this blank field of time synchronization in FC protocol.
