The study on the properties of barium carbonate in different crystal systems is play an important role for the evolution of electronic products requiring miniaturization and high performance. Here, the electrical and optical properties of BaTiO3 crystal structures with three space groups (Pm 3 m, P4mm, and P4/mmm) were systematically studied using the first-principles method. The structural are confirmed to be stable by the Born criterion The evolution energy band structures under HSE06 functional were more consistent with other theoretical and experimental results compared to the PBE functional. The band gaps of BaTiO3 for Pm 3 m, P4mm, and P4/mmm space groups up to 3.42, 3.24, and 3.26 eV and exhibit indirect semiconductor behavior. The optical parameters show that the light absorption rate and loss function of all three BaTiO3 were almost zero in the lower energy range. However, the tetragonal phase BaTiO3 with P4/mmm space group has a lower light reflection rate and higher light refractive index compared to the tetragonal phase BaTiO3 with P4/mmm and the cubic phase BaTiO3 with Pm 3 m space group, indicating its potential application value in electro-optic modulation. © 2024 SPIE.

Fault diagnosis of planetary gearboxes constitutes a vital element of rotating machinery. In recent years, fault diagnosis techniques for planetary gearboxes predicated on deep learning have undergone extensive research. However, in scenarios with limited samples, these deep learning methodologies can grapple with data scarcity issues, negatively impacting the model's generalization capacity and diagnostic performance. To mitigate this, Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have been integrated into planetary gearbox fault diagnosis to fabricate synthetic data, thereby augmenting the training dataset. Nevertheless, GANs face challenges in effectively learning local feature information from samples, leading to substantial disparities in local features between the generated data and the original data. Furthermore, the sampling of fault vibration signals from planetary gearboxes often exhibits a high frequency, with relatively smooth signal transitions, while the vibration signal samples generated by GANs often fluctuate excessively, demonstrating significant differences from the original vibration signals. To address this issue, this study introduces an enhanced GAN network that incorporates a feature attention matching mechanism in the computation of the loss function. This mechanism aims to amplify the feature similarity between the generated samples and local samples. Concurrently, a smoothness loss is introduced into the loss function to ensure the changes in the generated signal samples are more gradual. Experimental results indicate that this proposed method can generate superior quality samples, and the generated samples can achieve high accuracy on the WD-CNN diagnostic network. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

Marine moving ship target search has great application demand and development prospects in marine surveillance, marine search and rescue, customs anti-smuggling, and other aspects. Satellites are a vital means of searching for marine moving targets. Ground coverage for imaging satellites is relatively limited;the vast marine area makes searching for marine moving ships challenging. Target position prediction, used as the guidance information for satellite detection to reduce the uncertainty of the target position and improve search efficiency, is an essential approach to achieving target optimization search. This paper proposes a target position prediction method based on joint learning of multi-source factors for optimal satellite search of marine moving targets. Firstly, it analyzes the characteristics of marine moving targets and the factors affecting motion. Then, it puts forward the motion prediction model based on a deep neural network, integrating multifactor, like the state of the moving target, environmental attributes such as nautical charts, meteorology and hydrology, and kinematic constraints, to predict the target positional distribution probability. Finally, the target search strategy based on the maximum sum of the distribution probabilities of the satellite coverage area is adopted to improve target detection probability. The experiment results show that the prediction method can realize the target positional distribution probability prediction, reduce the uncertainty search when making the satellite search plan, and improve efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper is concerned with the requirements of current distance learning of circuit principle experiment of automation specialty, automatic fault detection of experimental equipment, automatic fault isolation, uninterrupted experiment in case of fault, and maintaining the number of available equipment. Specifically, based on the networked control system laboratory (NCSLab) architecture, digital twin, remote control technology and circuit design, aiming at the circuit experiment principle course, the digital twin are realized by Simulink, and a digital twin circuit principle experiment system(DT-CPES) is designed and implemented. The designed system shows that the system can realize the sharing of experimental equipment, the digital twin can predict, and can also verify with the actual measurement data of the circuit experiment. Through the digital twin fault isolation controller(DT-FIC), the fault diagnosis, fault isolation and replacement output of the experimental equipment can be realized. Therefore, the developed system reduces the overall risk and cost of installation and maintenance of large-scale circuit experiments, and provides fault-tolerant redundancy for the experimental system with low computational burden and high reliability. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology, the development of intelligent manufacturing has become an inevitable trend. Utilizing AI technology to ensure the safe operation of factories is a crucial aspect of smart factories. In particular, research focused on fault diagnosis and remaining useful life (RUL) prediction models based on machine learning has garnered significant attention from both academia and industry. This paper explores RUL prediction models for complex equipment, introduces four representative models, and analyzes their performance using two benchmark datasets, C-MAPSS and N-CMAPSS. Finally, the paper discusses the future research and application trends of artificial intelligence technology in complex equipment operation and maintenance.

In real life, many valuable products and highvalue important products are transported in long distances. Shocks and vibrations are caused during transportation, loading and unloading for various reasons. Any shock and vibration exceeding the regulations may cause damage to the transported products. So, it is necessary to monitor and analyze these data of shocks and vibrations scientifically, while considering that some transportation conditions have special requirements for installation space and transportation time. Therefore, an ultra-thin and long-lasting monitoring system has been developed based on MEMS accelerometer technology to measure shocks and vibrations. After series of independent tests and calibration tests conducted by a third party on the product, the results show that it can record and store the threeaxis acceleration, temperature, humidity, pressure, time and other parameters of the transportation process in real time, and complete the preliminary assessment of the transportation status of high-value products. Then engineers can conduct professional analysis of the data to obtain scientific transportation monitoring reports, and provide scientific basis for taking safety prevention and treatment measures for subsequent transportation. © 2023 IEEE.

Continuous fiber-reinforced polymer composite additive manufacturing (CFRP-AM) provides an efficient and effective solution to fabricate composites with intricate designs and high performance that are unattainable with conventional composite manufacturing technologies. The geometric characteristic of a single bead is essential information for process improvement and planning of CFRP-AM but has not been reported yet. This study investigates the geometric attributes of single bead fabricated by continuous fiber-reinforced polymer composite additive manufacturing to provide researchers insights into the relationship between geometry design and performance of fabricated parts. The width of beads fabricated by various process settings is characterized and modeled with response surface models. Moreover, the influence of the geometry design, e.g., curvatures and turning angles, are qualitatively studied and analyzed. Corresponding benchmark toolpaths are proposed for characterization studies. Lastly, the performance of two CFRP-AM platform configurations, i.e., three degree-of-freedom gantry and six-degree-of-freedom articulated types, are compared in terms of the geometric accuracy of typical features. © 2022

The Influence of Suspension and Deposition on Pool Boiling Heat Transfer of Nanofluids: Experiment and Engineering Model Study

Applications including heat exchangers, high power electronic components, and nuclear reactors now require heat transfer technologies that can achieve both high efficiency and compact footprints. Because nanofluids have advantageous heat transfer properties, they have a greater potential to replace conventional coolants. However, predicting nanofluid boiling heat transfer is still difficult. In order to compare the coupled effects of suspended and deposited nanoparticles with the single effect of deposited nanoparticles, the researchers conducted boiling heat transfer experiments. The findings demonstrated that suspended nanoparticles made the surface less wettable, while the deposited nanoparticles increased the wettability. The number of active nucleate sites and the frequency of bubble detachment increase due to the suspension and deposition of nanoparticles, whereas the diameter of the bubble decreases. Based on the experimental data, predictive models for boiling heat transfer and bubble behavior were proposed, with a range of mass concentrations from 0.001% to 0.005% and heat flux between 60 and 130 kW/m2. Less than 30% was found to be the error margin between the experimental data and the predictive equations. It was discovered that the influence of deposited nanoparticles on boiling heat transfer was usually dominant, according to the predictions made by the proposed theoretical models. © 2024, The Authors. Data centers have the characteristics of huge energy consumption and strong power fluctuations. To solve the problem of unstable supply and demand such as frequent power fluctuations in the micro-grid of the data center using renewable energies, this paper establishes a controllable load model of server clusters based on the task migration mechanism by analyzing the various tasks and characteristics of large cloud data centers, as well as edge computing nodes. Through the collaborative optimization control of edge and cloud computing tasks, and dynamically adjusting and migrating the server cluster load, a new data center tie-line power control method is proposed. The results of calculation examples show that the method can achieve power smoothing of large-scale cloud data center tie lines through cloud-edge collaborative control. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Recently, the increased utilization of data has led to the development of various services. However, using data necessitates anonymization techniques for privacy. multi-input k-anonymizer unit (MIKU)[1], a facial image anonymization method proposed by Nakamura et al., anonymizes images by averaging the latent vectors of facial images in the latent space of StyleGAN[2]. However, MIKU has two limitations: (1) it only targets single-face images, and (2) it merely calculates the centroid of the latent vectors between the original images, thus not preserving the statistical information of the original image dataset. Therefore, this paper proposes a framework to realize a k-anonymization method for photos containing multiple faces. The anonymization process uses a proposed framework comprising multiple modified artificial intelligence applications. First, identifiers, quasi-identifiers, and sensitive attributes are specified for a photo with multiple faces. This paper proposes three methods for generalizing age, one of the quasi-identifiers. The first is the random method, which replaces the age of the original image with the age of a random individual. The second is the uniform distribution method, which assigns ages based on the uniform distribution of age ranges after anonymization. The third is a kernel method that assigns ages using random numbers obtained from a probability density function computed by kernel density estimation. The experiments resulted in an Fréchet inception distance (FID)[2] equivalent to MIKU without any observed difference for the specified sensitive attributes. Furthermore, the most effective results were obtained using the kernel method, indicating that the proposed method is effective for the k-anonymization of facial images. © 2024 IEEE.
